Brian Rose is the Founder, Host and CEO of London Real and the creator of the AI Investment Club and the Luxury Property Investment Circle. Born in San Diego in 1971, he went straight from high school to MIT, then spent 15 years trading derivatives on Wall Street, in Chicago and in the City of London.
Inspired by The Joe Rogan Experience, he started London Real in 2011. It has since recorded more than 1,000 interviews, reached over 5 million subscribers and more than 1 billion views, and produced six feature-length documentary films, with a seventh, Man In The Arena, due in December 2026. He now lives in Dubai, and his work centres on AI investing and Dubai property.
This page sets out who Brian is, the films and series he has made, and answers to the questions people most often ask about him. His episodes are listed below.
Freedom Fighters: The True Story of London Real’s Battle Against YouTube Censorship (June 2024). Brian tells the story of London Real’s fight with YouTube in conversation with Jerry Dalton. For the personal side, watch Reconnect: The Movie.
Brian grew up in San Diego and went straight from high school to MIT. After MIT he spent 15 years trading derivatives on Wall Street, in Chicago and in the City of London, moving to London after 9/11. In 2007 he became a British citizen, making him a dual US and UK citizen. In his TEDx talk, Banker to Broadcaster, he explains why he walked away from banking: he felt empty, quit his job and started a podcast to share his journey.
He started London Real in 2011, inspired by The Joe Rogan Experience, as a weekly show recorded in a small London studio. He set out to make it an antidote to the numbing effects of mainstream media, and it grew into one of the UK’s best-known long-form interview channels, with more than 1,000 guests including Dan Peña, the guest who had perhaps the biggest influence on Brian himself. Through London Real Academy he taught programmes such as the Business Accelerator, Life Accelerator, Broadcast Yourself and the Crypto and DeFi Accelerator.
In April 2020 YouTube removed Brian’s livestream with David Icke. Rather than back down, London Real crowdfunded and built its own Digital Freedom Platform and kept broadcasting. Over the following weeks more than a million people tuned in, a period told in the film We Will Not Be Silenced. It was a defining chapter for London Real and for Brian’s views on free speech and independent media. In September 2023 YouTube removed London Real’s channel altogether. Brian kept fighting for freedom of speech, and the channel was eventually reinstated in 2025.
From Dubai, Brian runs two investment groups through London Real:
