I recently went Live on Instagram with my good friend Kenneth “Flex” Wheeler.
Flex is an American IFBB professional bodybuilder and four-time Arnold Classic winner, but in 1999 he was diagnosed with kidney disease and forced to retire. Everything he had built up to that point came crumbling down. After years of hardship, he wrote his memoir and has now dedicated his life to helping people who suffer from depression.
I first had Flex on my show in 2018. In one of the most honest conversations I’ve had with a guest, Flex shared his darkest and lightest times with us. He told us about his constant struggle with depression, self-hatred and self-doubt and how he has finally found a way to love himself. I felt honoured to have chatted with him and know that conversation has helped so many deal with hardship.
Since our last conversation, Flex has endured yet more pain and struggle. In 2019 he underwent a partial leg amputation following blood clot complications. In this conversation Flex recounts those difficult days, how he persevered and what his new mission in life. It’s a powerful interview and I encourage you to share it with anyone you feel might benefit from hearing it.
During our conversation I also showcased my Mayoral Manifesto which is now available to download and share.
A number of clips from this exclusive interview are now available to download, share and repost. Spread the word: grab these clips today!
