I was super excited for the Premier of London Real’s fifth documentary feature film, Reconnect.
This film is about my 18-month journey with the plant medicine ayahuasca which included my trip with Dennis McKenna to Costa Rica to do three ayahuasca ceremonies with a shaman.
Along with filming our experience with this plant medicine, the film documents how I integrated those psychedelic experiences back into my life, family and business at London Real.
The Psychedelic Experience
Dennis McKenna was my partner on and off the screen in this journey. Dennis and his brother, Terence McKenna are legends in the psychedelic community and I know this movie wouldn’t be possible without those two gentlemen.
The premier itself was an amazing event. Dennis McKenna was there for a Q&A afterwards and we went really deep on psychedelics, global warming, and other aspects of the film. Dennis drops all types of incredible knowledge about his experience of using psychedelics, and how it relates to humanity at large.
The Lesson is What You Need, Not What You Want
The core of Dennis and Terence’s message, is that we need to reconnect with nature. And that the big challenge of psychedelics is it forces you to get out of your comfort zone. It gives you the lesson you need, rather than the lesson you want.
I know you’re going to enjoy this watching the Q&A from this incredible night, and hopefully it will feel like you were there with us.
Enjoy my wonderful conversation with Dennis McKenna
