For most men, orgasm and ejaculation are the same thing. In the Taoist tradition Master Mantak Chia teaches, they are not, and learning to separate them is the starting point for much of his work.
In this clip from his 2018 London Real episode, Sexual Energy, Brian Rose asks Chia a direct question: is an orgasm without ejaculation better or worse than a normal one? His answer covers the “brain orgasm”, a point on the body he calls the million-dollar point, and where he locates the male G-spot.

Climbing the mountain
Chia explains his view with a simple picture. The most enjoyable moment, he says, is when orgasm is at its peak. Push on into ejaculation and it drops away, so in his view there is no point going there.
Instead he describes climbing a mountain: rise towards the peak, stop, come down a little, then go up again, each time reaching higher. He contrasts this with the quick, genital-only release most men learn as young boys: fast, then finished.
The “brain orgasm”
The aim of the Taoist approach, as Chia describes it, is to take that energy, which he calls a love vibration, up the spine and into the brain. “We call it a brain orgasm,” he says. Brian, who has read Chia’s book, asks whether you do this with your mind. Chia says you feel it, using a mix of mental focus and muscle contraction to draw the energy upwards.
The million-dollar point
Brian asks whether the contraction is the PC muscle. Chia says the key is learning to recognise the prostate gland. He describes a spot in front of the anus that Taoist teachers call the million-dollar point; pressing in there, he says, you can feel the muscle, and above it the prostate.
Being able to find and contract it matters because, in his words, “the prostate gland is the G-spot of the man.” It is the same idea he teaches in his books on male sexuality, framed here as something every man can learn to feel.
Being open-minded
Because the prostate sits deep, Chia says, a partner can sometimes help by massaging it directly, wearing a glove. In his experience, this can help when a man struggles to get an erection. But, he adds, “you have to be open-minded for that.”
Brian agrees, and Chia notes that some men worry that enjoying this says something about their sexuality. In his view it does not: it is simply biology, and another kind of orgasm. Brian sums it up simply: “Don’t judge yourself.”
What to take from it
Whether or not you follow the Taoist path, Chia’s core message is about awareness. Most men, he suggests, never learn how their own body works, and treat sex as a race to the finish. His practices ask them to slow down, notice more and stay curious.
Mantak Chia teaches a traditional Taoist practice, and this clip reflects his views and experience. It is not medical advice. If you have any prostate, urinary or sexual health concerns, including erectile problems, please speak to a doctor.

Transcript: Master Mantak Chia – Where Is The Male G-Spot? The Taoist View Explained
0:00 Brian Rose: Now, an orgasm without ejaculation: is it better or worse than a normal orgasm with ejaculation?
0:05 Mantak Chia: The whole key is that, if we understand [unclear]: where is the most enjoyable time? It’s the orgasm, very high.
0:18 Brian Rose: Right, and you want more?
0:20 Mantak Chia: There’s no more. Because you go one more, you go into ejaculation, and now the orgasm goes up and down here. We’ve got a big bank here, so no point in going there. But if you climb up the mountain, you go up here, you stop, you come down a little bit, and you go up again, and again, and you get higher, higher. So the higher orgasm is like this.
0:48 Mantak Chia: Most people, very quick, the orgasm, because the genital orgasm is just down here. Like when you’re a young boy, you just want to have the orgasm: it’s quick, quick, quick, quick, quick, and finish. OK. Now, when you understand, you need to bring this orgasm, this love vibration, coming up into the brain. We call it a brain orgasm.
1:13 Brian Rose: I’ve looked at your book. So you bring it up the spine.
1:16 Mantak Chia: Right, go up to the brain.
1:18 Brian Rose: And you do it with your brain?
1:19 Mantak Chia: No, you feel that. You use the mind power and some contraction and bring the energy up to the brain.
1:27 Brian Rose: OK, and the contraction is that PC muscle?
1:30 Mantak Chia: The prostate gland. So you have to train. So we say you have to train and recognise the million-dollar point. The million-dollar point is in front of the anus. But actually, when you press, in between the bone, and you go in, and you contract, there is the prostate gland. That’s the muscle, and up there is the prostate gland. So you pinpoint the prostate gland, and you contract the prostate gland, because the prostate gland is the G-spot of the man.
2:10 Brian Rose: Of the man. That’s deep.
2:12 Mantak Chia: Very deep. That’s right. That’s why sometimes the woman has to massage for the man. She has to massage the prostate gland.
2:21 Brian Rose: So you go into the anus. OK. Right, and that can happen too, because it’s the prostate, right?
2:28 Mantak Chia: OK, but you have to be open-minded for that. A lot of the time, a man cannot have an erection well. So you put a glove on, [unclear] the anus, and massage to the front, massage the prostate gland until the prostate gland is highly activated. Now the penis gets up. It’s very important. So this is the woman’s job.
2:50 Brian Rose: OK, and the man has to be open-minded.
2:52 Mantak Chia: Oh yeah, because some men get a little crazy about the anus.
2:56 Brian Rose: Oh yes.
2:57 Mantak Chia: They think they’re gay, but it’s not gay. No, it’s a biology thing. [unclear] a different kind of orgasm, right?
3:12 Brian Rose: So, embracing biology. Don’t judge yourself.
