Timothy Shieff is an English freerunner and athlete who won the Barclaycard World Freerun Championship in 2009 and has competed on MTV’s Ultimate Parkour Challenge, Ninja Warrior UK and American Ninja Warrior. He went vegan in 2012, co-founded the ethical clothing brand ETHCS, and in 2019 caused controversy when he announced he had started eating animal products again.
Brian Rose has interviewed Shieff on London Real five times between 2013 and 2019, and the series follows him from young freerunner to vegan activist to his break with veganism. They have covered parkour, questioning everyday habits, veganism, mindfulness and mental health, fasting and psychedelics.
Each interview is listed below in order with a short summary.
Veganism is Wrong For Me (2019). His most discussed appearance, explaining why one of the best-known vegan athletes went back to eating animal products. For where it started, watch Freerunning Freethinking (2013).
In his first interview in 2013 he described parkour as being about the power of imagination rather than tricks, and freerunning as a way to explore what the body can do.
From 2013 to 2016 Shieff argued for veganism on ethical and environmental grounds and tried to align everything from his diet to his clothing brand with those beliefs.
In 2018 he talked about an extended water fast, psychedelics and other practices he used on himself.
Speaking in 2019, he said he had to put his own health ahead of a public identity built on veganism, and talked openly about the criticism that followed. His story on London Real is one of beliefs changing over time.

Not outright. He was named last man standing, meaning he went further on the course than any other contestant in his series, and a 2018 report said it was the second time he had earned that title. Brian Rose introduces him this way in their 2018 interview.
