Full transcript: Radoslaw Markowski on London Real
1:14 This is London Real, I am Brian Rose. My guest today is Radoslaw Markowski, recent graduate of our Life Accelerator. Welcome. Yeah. Tell me about you. Where are you from originally, and now, and what do you do? Well, a bit of a story. I’m originally from Poland. I’ve moved to UK in 2006. I settled here for a good 10, 11 years, then I’ve changed my employer and I was working from home, from UK, working for an Irish company.
1:53 And in 2015, actually, right after my visit to London Real studio, I’ve moved to Ireland just for a few days to help on the project, and I stayed there. That was three years ago. Yeah, and you were here, you came to the studio. I came to the studio, and next day I was on my short journey to Ireland to quickly help on the project. Yeah, I knew, you mentioned before.
2:27 Tell me what was going on with your life that made you join the Life Accelerator. Why? Oh, good question, because I wouldn’t say there was one thing which was not right. It was more about, I felt that London Real and Life Accelerator specifically just put things together for me. I was already meditating, I was already having affirmations, my food habits and food plan was quite good. I think I didn’t move a lot, that’s for sure. I was not practicing other things which were in Life Accelerator, but it was like putting dot on the eye, crossing the T, however you call it.
3:13 Okay, okay. And why London Real? Why? I first found London Real when I was reading a book by a Polish author, and it was mentioned in there, and I’ve googled for it. Then that was my first, like, point of seeing London Real. But really you should thank Elliott Hulse. I was following him, and then I’ve seen video of Elliott on London Real. Okay, yeah.
3:42 And as I followed people like Peter Schiff and other financial gurus. Okay, and what made you actually pull the trigger and decide to invest your time and your money in our accelerator course? What was the thing that actually… Can I point out just one thing? Just right moment. Okay, right time. One thing here crosses my mind: when the mentee is ready, mentor is found, however you translate it. It was just right moment, I think.
4:10 Okay, cool. And what was it like those first two weeks when you get thrown in there? There’s these people all around the world, you got modules to do, live calls with me, and you’ve got the accountability. It was easy. Okay. Accountability doc was simple. I’m paying for someone to be my accountability buddy for like a few good months now. So I was practicing; first three modules I was pretty much practicing, except gratitude. I was not doing it at all. Okay. But meditation and other things, yeah.
4:44 You doing those things. And what was the hardest part for you on the course? What was challenging you, if anything? Not challenging, but embarrassing: home dance. Didn’t like dancing. But you did it. I did it. My wife still laughs. Well, it served a purpose, it made her laugh. Yeah, maybe, but I did it. The real struggle was the forgiveness. I still don’t know to whom I have to forgive, and I was talking to Susan about it, how to find answers to those questions.
5:17 Okay, who to forgive. What about asking forgiveness? I’ve asked for forgiveness, and yeah. Okay, so accept it, and what’s needed? I didn’t know that it was that needed. Okay, so that was important. Yes. But you’re still looking to find out who to forgive. Correct. Okay, that’s powerful, it’s really powerful. What are the people like that you met on the course? What’s the community like? A mixed pack of people, really.
5:42 Initially there was one guy which caught my attention. He’s ended up in a different group, but I think he’s dropped out from it. He was saying that those practices are not for him. And what’s it like seeing people here in London that you’ve kind of gone through the course with? It’s weird seeing them in person. For me it’s even a stretch that I’m here. It’s against my personality, against my, I don’t know how to call it. So why are you here? Because I f***ing pull the trigger, and that’s it. Okay. I have to do it.
6:17 Okay, so you wanted to come to graduation, it was important? Yes. Okay, okay. To overcome my fears, and maybe not fears, but this dislike of meeting people. Yeah. It’s weird, it’s my personality, very strange, and I’m very quiet and shy person. Don’t need other people. I don’t have many friends, but I’ve got good friends, and in general people are driving me mad, cos they’re saying things then they are not fulfilling, and that’s not acceptable by me.
6:59 Right, so you’re pushing out of your comfort zone and coming to this graduation. That’s correct. So, just good for you, man, that’s already a win, right? Yeah. So I guess I was gonna ask you, how are you different after taking the course? How’s Rad different than the guy that didn’t take this course? If we went out on the street, who would I meet? How are you different? From outside you wouldn’t see the difference, but the first video I’ve recorded for the course was deleted several times in the first place, then it was a montage of several parts joined together, so I couldn’t record the video in one go.
7:37 But the last video was just one roll, and keep talking to the camera. Okay, so you’re getting better at it, better at putting those videos out. And what are your plans for the next 12 months? On the course we have, you know, plans and goals and all that. What are you trying to accomplish to keep this momentum going? Financial goals are on the top. Some of them are very like going to the moon and stars, and I’m not sure if I’ll fulfil them, but I’m trying to eat the elephant just a small piece at the time. We’ll see.
8:09 Okay. I’ve got some health plans. I’m trying to stick to specific food plan. I’m trying something new which might help me in the long term. I’m just testing a longevity product on myself. It’s not approved, it’s at the test phases. I’m trying to carry on with my movement practices. I’ve played my first three holes of golf recently, like yesterday. Also lost lots of balls in the water, and that was one of the new experiences.
8:52 And that, again, thanks to London Real, that puts it like a clamp between, or put things together. It gives me new practice, it allows me to stay with my mentors and talk to my mentors. Already, the first round of golf with my mentor, he told me so many things, so many gems, unbelievable. So it’s already paying off? Yes. Just having that golf game with your mentor, that’s amazing.
9:15 I think it was a very painful start. First, last night I took my son for golf, the first lesson, and his first lesson ended up with me having a massive bruise on my forehead. I’m standing behind him and he was showing me how to do a swing. Oh my god. That’s great progress, man, that’s already a win for you.
9:40 Let me ask you, if there’s someone thinking about taking this Life Accelerator but they’re not sure, maybe someone like you eight weeks ago, what would you tell them? Whoa. Advice? You’d like to hear light tones? I want to hear a real answer. Just pull the f***ing trigger or just f*** off, apparently. Yeah. Are you a fan of Dan Peña? Yeah, big fan. Okay, all right, well, it looks like you’re pulling the trigger.
10:04 So, you know, Rad, I love this. I love that that one simple physical practice is like taking you to the next level. And I know what it’s like to be introverted. I’ve just trained it out of myself. In the past, the last thing I ever wanted to do was be around people, so, but it’s like little baby steps, and sometimes just going to a gathering, I know it’s a big deal, but now I know to force myself to do these things, because that’s where the fun is, right where the fear is, and it’s usually better than you think it’s gonna be.
10:37 And I’ll use an example. I’m scared of heights, but my son isn’t. He likes climbing, indoor climbing, and then he discovered something called zip lines, and obviously he couldn’t go on it on his own, so I have to follow him. It was scary like hell for me, but I’ve done it. So it took you to the next level, I love it.
11:00 Well, Rad, welcome to the family. You came here three years ago, I definitely remember you. Look, we got 12 months here to keep working on these goals, so look, you got your regular meetings with your group. Pull the trigger and just do it, and I can’t wait to see what you’re gonna become and all the things you’re gonna do. So thank you for being a part, and in 12 months, all right, man, let’s do this. Thank you.
