Founder of Ambrus Studio

“I want to prove that gaming can have a positive impact on the world.”

A Conversation with Johnson Yeh: Pioneer in Gaming and Web3 Innovation

On today’s livestream, I’m joined by a true pioneer in the gaming and Web3 space: Johnson Yeh, founder and CEO of Ambrus Studio.

Johnson Yeh: The Visionary Behind Esports’ Rise in Asia

Johnson is a visionary leader with a remarkable track record. Known as the “Godfather of Esports,” Johnson transformed the gaming landscape in China, Japan, and Southeast Asia during his time as CEO of Riot Games.

Under his leadership, League of Legends Esports became the most-watched sport in China, with over 4 billion hours viewed annually, and established itself as the largest Esports league globally in terms of revenue.

Ambrus Studio: A New Journey in Web3 Gaming

In 2021, Johnson embarked on a new journey, founding Ambrus Studio, a Web3 gaming company driven by his passions for climate change, entrepreneurship, and innovation.

With a mission to onboard 100 million Web2 gamers into the Web3 space, Ambrus Studio is redefining the gaming experience by merging the best of Web2 and Web3 worlds.

The E4C Ecosystem: Redefining Web3 Gaming

Through its flagship ecosystem, E4C, Johnson is introducing immersive, community-driven experiences that prioritise true ownership, decentralised governance, and seamless integration with blockchain technology.

E4C represents the future of Web3 gaming, combining compelling gameplay with innovative economic models to create an ecosystem where both players and developers thrive. E4C: Ludus, set to launch imminently, is a cross-platform gaming layer, offering players and developers a frictionless blockchain experience.

“There are so many benefits to building a game in Web3. This includes the power of the community, interoperability, and true ownership, and it is more entrepreneurial-friendly.”

E4C: Final Salvation – A Game for Emerging Markets

Their flagship gaming project, E4C: Final Salvation, is a mobile MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) game designed to bring Web3 gaming to emerging markets like South Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, leveraging blockchain technology to solve unique gaming industry challenges.

Set in a dystopian future, the game pits two teams of three players against each other in intense battles to destroy the opposing team’s base. What sets Final Salvation apart is its innovative Dual-Champion System, which allows players to strategically choose two champions—one primary and one secondary. Players can switch between champions in real-time during gameplay, unlocking new tactical possibilities.

Ambrus Studio Partners with Sui Blockchain

Ambrus Studio has also taken the decision to build on Sui, a Layer 1 blockchain designed to make digital asset ownership fast, private, secure, and accessible, while accommodating the demands of large-scale gaming ecosystems.

“The movement of assets between games in the E4C ecosystem is the realised dream behind us. With Sui’s support, we can handle a large number of players seamlessly, ensuring no compromise in gameplay quality.”

By leveraging Sui’s unique gaming functionalities, Ambrus Studio integrates Web3 elements across its titles, while ensuring a seamless and intuitive player experience. For Johnson, gaming is more than just entertainment—it’s a way to connect people, foster community, and drive meaningful change.

A Sustainable Vision for Web3 Gaming

Johnson’s vision for Ambrus Studio goes beyond creating fun games; it’s about building a sustainable, decentralised ecosystem that empowers players and developers while addressing broader issues like environmental sustainability.

From Esports Leader to Web3 Innovator

Johnson’s journey is an inspiring one. From esports leader to Web3 innovator, Johnson is determined to onboard millions of new users. His approach is simple: build the first truly great Web3 game. To that end, E4C is a game-changer for both developers and players.
