John Kent started training to be a tailor at 15 years old as an apprentice in the East End of London at Bernard’s Bethnal Green. In 1966 he moved to Military and Royal tailor Hawes and Curtis where Kent had the privilege of making the trousers for His Royal Highness, His clientele has also included Sir Donald Sinden, Sir Alistair Cook, Sir Terence Rattigan, Burt Lancaster, Rod Steiger, Tony Curtis, Cary Grant, Bing Crosby, Lord Mountbatten and Arnaud Bamberger.

The first impression you make on anyone is based on what you’re wearing. That’s why this week I brought in the world-renown Savile Row tailor, John Kent, to talk about what you should be wearing.

John has dressed everyone. From members of the Royal family like the Queen of England and the Duke of Edinburgh, to Bing Crosby.
