Key ideas

Ukraine cannot win the war

From his first appearance in May 2023, Macgregor argued that Ukraine’s losses were far greater than Western media reported and that Russia would prevail. He repeated this view in later episodes.

The risk of a wider Middle East war

Speaking in October 2023, he said Washington had underestimated Russia in Ukraine and should not now underestimate the chance of a regional alliance forming against Israel. He warned that a heavy campaign in Gaza could pull Egypt into the conflict.

The biggest threat is at home

In his 2024 interviews he argued that the greatest danger to the United States comes from inside Washington: rising national debt, weakening social cohesion and border policy, which he believes are pushing the country towards crisis.

Escalation with Russia

In September 2024 he warned that strikes on Russian territory using long-range Western weapons would be treated by Moscow as an act of war, and that Washington was moving the world closer to a direct conflict.

A multipolar world

In October 2025 he described the rise of BRICS and the end of US unipolar dominance, and called for a more restrained American foreign policy focused on national defence.
