Colonel Douglas Macgregor - Campus Turmoil, Global Tensions & Ukraine's Uncertain Future

“Washington is donor occupied territory, it’s Epstein island on stilts. Where everyone is rewarded for destroying their own society.”

In today’s precarious geopolitical landscape, the spectre of world war and the looming threat of a nuclear fallout casts a chilling shadow over all our lives. As tensions between the major powers reach alarming heights, nuclear anxiety has surfaced once more.

The consequences of a global conflict and the unleashing of nuclear arsenals are too dire to contemplate, and underscores the urgent need for sustained diplomacy, de-escalation efforts, and international cooperation to avert the unthinkable and initiate global peace and stability.

This is something that today’s guest has been preaching from the earliest days of the War in Ukraine. Colonel Douglas Macgregor is a decorated combat veteran, retired US Army Colonel, author and foreign policy expert who is widely recognised for his leadership in the Battle of 73 Easting during the Gulf War – the US Army’s largest tank battle since World War II.

His distinguished career began in 1976 when he was commissioned into the Regular Army after completing his studies at the Virginia Military Institute and West Point. During his 28 years of service, he held numerous leadership positions, while his innovative thinking on military transformation and force design have had a profound impact on the global stage, influencing policies in Israel, Russia, and China.

As an author, his groundbreaking ideas have resulted in five books, including Breaking The Phalanx and Transformation Under Fire, and seen him feature as a regular commentator on defence and foreign policy issues on various media platforms including CNN, the BBC, Sky and Fox News, most notably as the go-to guy on Tucker Carlson’s now-defunct show.

In late 2020, Colonel Macgregor was appointed Senior Advisor to the Secretary of Defence by then-President Donald Trump, a position he held until the end of the Trump administration, while he has also served as an expert witness before the Senate and House Armed Services Committees.

Colonel Macgregor believes that the biggest threat to the US actually comes from those inside Washington DC as national sovereign debt approaches the threshold of default, and the progressive collapse of societal cohesion amplified by the open border policy is taking America to the brink of collapse.

He has also suggested that the unwavering and continued support from the US and Britain to both Israel and Ukraine is edging the world closer than we’ve been in a very long time to an all out war that could, if matters escalate, turn nuclear.

As the Biden administration commits more resources, former Prime Minister David Cameron, now Foreign Secretary, said he had no objection if weapons supplied by the UK were used to strike inside Russia, as he outlined a roadmap for the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

It feels like things are ramping up. As it stands, Washington seems reluctant to sanction counter measures against Iran, and the chess match continues with Vladimir Putin, but for how long? For Colonel Macgregor, there is no way America can continue to handle both a war in Gaza and Ukraine.

“America’s resources are not limitless. Our power is constrained. In Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America, the American brand has been damaged. Americans need (and should demand) a sober-minded analysis of the facts from the men who want to be President.”

Colonel Macgregor believes that the US is on the brink of a complete financial crisis, but what will be the final straw? Who knows. The fact remains that an implosion is on the horizon and as college campuses see more protests and thousands of arrests, alongside continued chaos at the border, the US is on a slippery slope.

Colonel Macgregor is a no-nonsense character who shoots straight from the hip, a military leader more at home on the battlefield than anywhere else and it is that insight that makes him a welcome voice when it comes to the realities of war and the nuances at play.

These are challenging times and let’s not kid ourselves, things are likely to get much worse before they get better. There’s seemingly a heightened risk of miscalculation and escalation right now and in this uncertain landscape I’m thankful to have the likes of Colonel Douglas Macgregor to turn to for the inside track on what’s really happening in my homeland. Do not miss this livestream.

“The point we need to understand, in a nuclear exchange with the Russians, we’d lose 90 million plus people in an hour. Why would we even want to contemplate something that utterly ridiculous. I think we’re playing with fire. We need to wake up. This is not something they want, it’s something we seem to be insisting upon.”
