Ben Greenfield is an ex-bodybuilder, Ironman triathlete, Spartan racer, coach, podcaster, speaker and author of the New York Times Bestseller “Beyond Training: Mastering Endurance, Health and Life”. In 2008, Ben was voted as NSCA’s Personal Trainer of the year and in 2013 was named as one of the top 100 Most Influential People In Health And Fitness.

Ben’s voracious appetite for uncovering anything that helps to optimise human performance and longevity is incredible. He’s been down the bodybuilding path as well as competed as an elite level triathlete for years, and when it comes to self-experimentation with diet, supplements and the latest biohacking trends, few people can match Ben’s level of knowledge and experience.
I love talking to Ben because he’s a biohacker extraordinaire and extremely unique person. He’s spoken at biohacking conferences with Dave Asprey, and has an entire property in Oregon dedicated to Spartan Race like obstacles and drills. He’s completely committed to bio-hacking his whole body, and competed in Ironman without training beforehand.
We discuss everything from the benefits of wine and coffee to what it was like doing the Navy SEAL civilian training camp. Ben says that the week long training camp was one of the hardest things he’s ever had to do. Now that it’s over nothing scares him and everything else he comes up against in life will be easy in comparison.
