Full transcript: David Avocado on London Real
3:58 Hey, this is London Real, I am Brian Rose, my guest today is David Avocado Wolfe, one of the most prominent and long-standing voices to champion the powers of superfoods and promote the longevity multiverse. You give expert advice on health, energy, peak performance, nutrition, organic and biodynamic farming, beekeeping and of course chocolate. You’re the author of the best-selling books Eating for Beauty, The Sun Food Diet Success System and Naked Chocolate, and you’ve appeared in the documentaries Food Matters and Hungry for Change.
4:42 You’ve shared the stage with Tony Robbins, Sir Richard Branson and Brian Tracy, and you’re the spokesperson for America’s number one selling appliance, the NutriBullet. David, it’s my pleasure to welcome you to the new studios of London Real. Fantastic, thanks Brian, great to be here, and we got a lot to share. And as we were discussing and we’re going to get into, we have a similar background. Hello!
5:01 Fantastic, so that’s going to allow us to really, I think, go deeper because we come from the same place. Yeah, I mean, and for people just to know, we were kind of comparing notes and we’ll get into this more, but it looks like we shared high schools and we’re probably one degree of separation away from each other. We’re one year apart in age and, you know, we probably studied computer science from the same junior high, high school teachers, which is really wild.
5:24 So look, I’m super excited to get into it. Tell me what brings you to London first of all, and I know you travel the world, but how does London rank when it comes to, you know, all the things that you talk about? Are we way up there, are we way down there? What do you see when you’re here? London is a center of culture, it’s a center of Western culture.
5:43 London is the home of veganism in the world, to my expertise. The Vegan Society was founded in 1944 in London and it’s a home of vegetarian thinking and vegetarian peoples, the Brahmins who came over here from India. The cultural influences that have brought us a whole different way of eating are here. The raw food is so popular here, I think that maybe had something to do with the 20 years I’ve been coming here and doing events, maybe, but superfoods also very popular here, and it just catches on because of those underpinnings of being able to have a different type of diet and a different look at diet, and the vegetarian diet and vegan diet and how it’s appreciated and accepted here.
6:26 So I came here at the request of a friend and it turned out to be timed beautifully, well, just wonderfully well. And an old friend of mine, Woody Harrelson, happened to be finishing up a couple of movies and he’d been here for a year. So just by chance I’m like, what are you here? Like, I’m, you know, he’s like, dude, I’m still here. I’m like, gee dude, I’m here, I’m in Birmingham.
6:45 So that was last weekend, we were up there, and I was like, okay, I’ll come see you on Sunday. So we went down and I said, bro, I gotta, I need a place to stay next weekend for our events in London. So we’re still, we stayed with him, we had a wonderful time, he left back to the USA today after a year in London, and we really, we really just tore it up. So I burned the midnight oil and burned that candle at the end, at both ends with a blowtorch, and we went hard for like 36 hours because I, I don’t get to see Woody very much and it’s, you know, great that we can be here in London together, and plus we have parties and events and all kinds of things to do.
7:16 And you’ve been working with him for 20 years, 40 years, working on his diet, and you said earlier he’s one of the healthiest guys in Hollywood. Absolutely. Can you go deeper into that, just the way he looks at nutrition and health and food and everything, like you and I would come from a similar background? Woody and I came from a similar background. In 1997 or ’98 a friend of mine, Don Weaver, amazing guy, like a guy who’s ready to save the earth at any moment, he’s that guy, you know, how do we fix the soil, how do we plant a tree, how do we make more food, how do we make it work for everybody.
7:46 He sent me to Hawaii to learn farming from another friend of his and I ended up on that farm learning farming in Hawaii because I had grown up in California and knew farming there because that’s where we grew avocados and citrus, but never had been in the tropics doing any farming. So I did that as a little side thing just for fun, to go out and venture, live in the jungle, and Woody was the neighbor. He was the neighbor, so he showed up there one day and we became friends and you know the rest is history.
8:12 And so he came from that similar culture of like from the earth, growing the food yourself, the superfoods yourself, how do you grow a chocolate tree, what’s a cashew tree, where does it come from. So not only have I grown those things for years but so is Woody, he’s grown those trees for years, Suriname cherries, you know, all the stuff that we love. I’m thinking of his hedge in front of his place and, and so we have that background that we share. So when we get together it’s like, you know, how we’re going to help his friends really is a lot of what we do today.
8:38 It’s like, look, I got a friend who’s got this situation, can you help her? Bro, just call her up. And so he, like, that happened a couple nights ago, whereas there was a Disney producer and she was, she was having some health challenges and, and I had to go out of this party and get into the sauna because that was the only place that was quiet and talk to this woman and, and we connected. So I’ll see her when I get to LA some, sometime down the road, and that’s the kind of work that we do now.
9:01 So we’re on the same page, you know, I know what, what he’s into, he, I know the superfoods he loves and and it’s basically the same stuff I love. I heard he’s a pretty fascinating guy in conversations. Like what do you guys talk about? Everything. Science and politics and it’s, you know, we’ve been friends for so long, you know how it is, like when you’re friends with somebody, song, it’s basically telepathic, right?
9:21 I can just look at him at a party and be like, you know, boom, and just, I get the message, he gets a message, he knows, you know what, what you know what what I get, what he’s saying, he gets what I’m saying without having to say a word. You know, we’ve been friends that long, so it’s really cool and it’s just, it’s just lovely to have a friend like that, you know, because they’re, as you get older, you know that it’s scary, sir, and scarcity, you got your family, there’s a few of those key friends from the old days and that’s all you got left. Yeah, that’s it.
9:44 You got your work and that’s kind of it. That’s got it. You know, you mentioned growing food and I know that was a big, probably the start of your journey, you know, when you left the East Coast, Brooklyn, New Jersey and went to California, it was your uncle or your grandfather that had taught you how to grow those first things, and that’s one of the things that makes you unique, that a lot, a lot of people that talk about diet is that you believe that relationship starts when you grow the food.
10:08 Yes. And, you know, we’ve had actually Dennis McKenna on the show, become good friends with him, and his brother Terence always used to say, when it comes to mushrooms, and that’s a whole nother topic we can get to, but he said grow it, and by growing it you get yourself into the headspace to where you want to consume it. And you know, when you said that, that’s what I remembered. That’s interesting because that’s the phrase that inspired me back in the mid 90s was the Terence McKenna lectures that I had, I had him digitally and way back then it was like, I don’t remember what the format was back then, but we would listen to that and in one of those he said that he said, you want to learn how to understand the world, you want to understand Amazonian shamanism, grow the plants yourself.
10:48 And I went, oh okay, boom, I’m gonna grow those plants myself, and I’ve been doing that for 20 years and I’ve learned a lot, and I’ve learned a lot about these plants that most people do not know, and it’s been the, it’s like a joy. I mean, I’m a farmer, I love farming, I’ve been farming since 1977. So it’s been a long stretch. Most people look at farmers and they’re like, oh, they’re the workers that make my food. Right, right.
11:11 Is that completely disrespectful? Are they missing the whole part of the journey of just that experience or do they just? Okay, so the way I look at it is there’s like an original intent. You know, we first showed up here on the earth, however we got here, there’s like something that’s very primary and one of those things is growing food. It’s a primary experience.
11:31 There’s a level of fulfillment that you get from growing your own food that you can’t get any other way, in my experience, and that’s why I love it so much, because it nourishes you at many levels and then it expands your connection to the source of all, to life and the creative force. And watching nature grow is one of life’s most extraordinary pleasures, actually. So watching trees grow, watching your garden grow, eating the great tomatoes and aubergines, as you guys say here, I’m an eggplant grower so I love eggplant, but here they say aubergine.
12:04 You know, growing those things just gives you a deeper sense of what is this food really all about and what can it do for me and what can it do for others. So I don’t feel that it’s appropriate to be qualified to speak about food unless you grow it yourself, because there’s such an amazing amount of information that can only be acquired that way. And patience too, patience and respect for the process. And you probably have this kind of a weird relationship with the food as it grows.
12:32 It’s just a, it’s just a love and a passion. I watching nature grow, seeing my orchards come into being and becoming like full-grown trees and big trees. We had an incident, so I farm in Hawaii and I also farm in Ontario, Canada, and I had farmed for many years in San Diego, California, where we’re from, and also Los Angeles and also in the Bay Area, so I have long experience farming in Mediterranean climates. But when I got to Ontario, Canada, it’s cold and the winters are cold, and finally we got lots of fruit now, and then I was looking at the tree, I was looking at the tree and there was a lot of apples in my best tree and I thought, I told Groov, who’s the gal who lives with me there, she said, she said I think we should pick them, and I was like, yeah, we need to pick them like today.
13:18 That night the bear came. So bear got in the yard, I cracked one of my trees and I was very upset, it’s still cracked and have, I think that it’ll survive, but it came that night because it was like too much food was sitting out there. So luckily we only got about 15 apples, which is great, we have a couple thousand apples, but what an experience to be out there in nature and be with the animals and, you know, you have to take, you have to like take that into account that, oh, the wolves are coming, the deer are coming, the bears are coming.
13:46 It’s so fun, right? Primal. It’s primal and it’s really, it’s a very important part to me of happiness. Right, this connection to this fulfillment, what is that? It’s happiness, it’s a deep level of satisfaction.
14:00 That’s what I want for people, you know, ultimately we want to be happy, but not just like surface happy, like don’t worry, be happy, but like deep level of happy and contentment and fulfillment. I want to get to your journey that kind of started in the 90s with a lot of these things, but first tell us, what is like a typical month in your life like? Where are you going, what are you doing, what are the kind of things that I would experience if I would be your wingman?
14:24 Oh wow, it’s every, it’s basically shamanic stuff all non-stop all the time. Like for example, I’ll go from here tomorrow, we’re going to go to Monaco and we’re going to visit with Novak, the great tennis player, and help him with his whole process, and I’m very excited about that. I think he’s an amazing person and we’ve had great conversations and I’m very excited to finally get there to be with him and really get him back on top of tennis, and you know that’s what I love to do is get people back up to number one, and then that will consist of nutrition advice and nutrition advice, but also it’s, you know, it’s what I bring as the whole package is I’m very positive minded.
15:01 I know what it takes to be number one. You know, that’s how I feel about my life, I’ve always been on the championship team. It doesn’t mean that I’m like the best quarterback in the world or the best player on the team, but I have always been on the winning team and the championship team, so I have that, it’s in my karma, I don’t know, you know, it’s like one of those things, so I pass that along, you know, whenever possible to support, help, nourish, add that extra little thing that makes this upstairs a little stronger.
15:28 That is the most important thing, is that in spite of the tidal wave of depression, the tidal wave of criticism, tidal wave of attacking, you just gotta power through it like an icebreaker and you just keep going, and that’s what we’ll do. Actually go from there in Monaco, we’re gonna go to Reykjavik and then we’ll be in Iceland and that’s where I really like to get connected to elemental energy, so that’s something to me that really nourishes longevity for me and makes me feel good and brings me to the peak of health. Okay, and so that’s what we’ll go next, elemental energy.
16:02 So you’re in the water there, right? Yeah, I’ll go swim in the Arctic Ocean, I’ll go cold dipping into rivers, into saunas, hot springs, walking barefoot on the earth, running around outside with very little clothes on or no clothes on in the wilderness of Iceland, you know, at friends’ places that I’ve been going there 20 years, I have many friends all over, all over that country and just getting connected with that elemental rawness, it’s raw, it’s potent. I could have stayed in San Diego or could have stayed in Southern California and stayed, you know, like kind of a, you know, the wispy surfer and that kind of thing, but I like the Arctic.
16:42 I like the cold. I like what Wim Hof has been teaching us, I’ve been doing that for 20 years. He came along, I’m like, Wim, come please do some lectures for us, hang out with us, thank god. And you, I don’t have to beg you to jump into cold water because I’m usually having to beg everyone or just literally coaxing them to do it with me, like, okay, hot springs into the cold river, back out again. With him, he’s made it easy for me now, everyone’s like, okay, we’ll do it.
17:08 Do you think we need to be pushed? Do you think as humans we just must be put in uncomfortable situations all the time to stay connected with ourselves? Because you could have hung out in San Diego and put your feet up and kicked back. Yeah, I could have, and I could have lived in Southern California, California lifestyle as that we know so well and grew up with, but I just, it just, I burned out on it. I just, there’s nothing there for me, I can’t go to San Diego anymore, there’s nothing there.
17:33 But back in those days, you know, having learned from Tony Robbins, because Tony Robbins was in San Diego, we’re from San Diego, and what then he taught me years ago that you need certainty and uncertainty. You need to get out of comfort sometimes and get into discomfort, and that it is uncomfortable to grow, it is uncomfortable to change your mind about things or to have a different opinion than everybody else has, it’s uncomfortable, and you know I felt like, I’m going to ride that uncomfortableness, I’m going to be with that uncomfortableness, in fact I’m going to be the most comfortable ever in the most uncomfortable situations ever, that’s the goal I wrote down. And are you there now?
18:14 Can you be kind of pleasurably uncomfort, comfortable in uncomfortable situations? A lot of different situations, never all situations, but definitely you say go jump in the Arctic Ocean, I’ll go jump in that Arctic Ocean, you bet I will. Absolutely. Yo, you mentioned Tony Robbins, my mom did the firewalk experience with him back in the 90s or maybe the 80s even, and he taught me how to break a board at something called Super Camp in like 1980. With my hand, I was like, I went to Super Camp in 1984.
18:41 Yes, I’m sure we met in the back. Yeah, I think your brother, your brother must know my brother, because I’m thinking of your brother’s name, I’m like, I’m thinking your brother knew my brother. I know it. Yeah, they were in the same class in junior high school. So you’ve got some great ideas from being in Southern California, hanging out with people.
18:58 Yes, definitely, absolutely. California is a hotbed of great ideas, it’s a hotbed of abundance thinking, transformative thinking, it’s a hotbed of innovation, and that’s where I come from for sure, but today, you know, I just jump in, visit for a little bit and out and back out. All right, so you’re taking Novak up to Iceland, which is a place you’d like to take people to connect with the elements, to evaluate, introduce different energies and stuff. Is it kind of your go-to place?
19:25 It’s a go-to place for me, yeah. Okay. It’s, if I come to London I’ll probably get at least one stop in Reykjavik, or two if I can, I try to get two, and hang out with my friends there. My friends own a whole health food store chain there, so we got great food lined up, superfoods lined up, of course. Iceland has the cleanest air and water probably in the world, so we’re just, it just dialed in automatically and you feel it, it’s a visceral feeling of just health.
19:51 Yeah, there’s a great MMA fighter up there named Gunnar Nelson. I know Gunnar. Oh, you know, god, all right. Yeah, and his coaches, and they coach Conor. Yeah, and they go up there and train and, yeah, and they eat at the restaurants that is run by my friends who I’ve helped all these years, 20 years that we’ve been friends, over, you know, to get to that point.
20:08 So in a lot of cases and in fact even in MMA sports I’ve been a part of it in some way, shape or form, and I love doing that because I love sports. I’m not the best athlete myself, but it’s, you know, I’ve always been on that team. You know, I was always the good, I was good support or something, I was right, good, maybe good communicator, maybe, I don’t know. But with the NutriBullet, with developing the foods and the restaurants and the superfoods and the formulas and all that stuff that now feed these people, so when I go to an MMA event they recognize me, they know me.
20:39 Yeah, it’s cool because they’re all eating really smart as of the last five, six years, you know, when it became so big, they all stepped their games up to be better and they realize that, wow, this is a huge component. And I think mixed martial arts has got to be one of the most challenging things to do with your body, the way they make weight, the way they have to perform the next day, all that stuff. It’s, I mean, and the, yeah, it’s brutal. It’s brutal, it’s brutal and inspiring at the same time, that these people can, they can take the beating and dish it out and still stay in it strategically, and then all of a sudden it’s jiu-jitsu and next thing you know it’s wrestling, next thing you know it’s kickboxing and Muay Thai all at the same time.
21:19 Yeah, I love it. I’ve trained all those disciplines, I’m a purple belt in jiu-jitsu and, all right, we’ve had probably 10 MMA fighters on, people are just tapping out from all the MMA fighters because I love it and I love the piece. I’ve had Scott Coker on, the president of Bellator and stuff like that, so I love that action. Look, I want to continue with the three-month piece of your life, but first you mentioned grounding when you go to Iceland. Talk to me about this concept of grounding.
21:40 We’re in shoes all the time and we’re separated from the earth, like right now we’re several floors up from the earth and so we don’t have that direct electrical connection that the earth provides. My friend Clint Ober did 13 peer-reviewed studies, he backed 13 peer-reviewed studies to test if grounding is important. Do we need to be on the earth? Is it important to have our feet barefoot on sand, on grass, on earth and rock? And the answer is a resounding yes, it’s very important, and in fact it has a deep philosophical implication.
22:08 For example, if someone’s had chronic pain for years and years and years, it’s basically a runaway inflammatory response. The earth neutralizes that inflammatory response, so typically, and we’ve been doing this and testing this and Clint’s been doing it for years, somebody has like chronic back pain, lay on the earth, go in the park, go into Regent’s Park, lay on the earth, lay right on the ground, and the earth’s electricity will literally push off that inflammatory response. It’s literally like the negative charge of the earth pushes off the too much positive charge, that’s the inflammation, and neutralizes it.
22:40 So we were all taught, you come from a science background, Gompers, school where I went to, we were taught that the grounding is a drain, right, it’s pulling the energy down. Actually it’s a push, it’s pushing the negatively charged electricity out of the earth right into you. So as soon as you get on the bare earth it pushes it right into you. As soon as you go into a river, creek, stream, ocean, boom, that you’re surrounded by that negatively charged electricity.
23:07 The colder that the water is, the colder that the earth is, the more powerful is the electricity. Okay, wow. There’s a lot of fighters and things that really spend a lot of time in the ocean, the Gracie family, Hicks and Gracie surfing, there’s a movie called Choke, he goes to Japan and he’s out there in the cold waters of Japan, and a lot of them really feel like they need to be grounded sometimes. I feel like these guys are a little closer to the source of knowing, like energy-wise.
23:33 So you think daily or just definitely get your grounding in regularly? I recommend, what I tell people is, hey, wherever you are, let’s say you’re in Primrose Hill or where we were staying, you got to get an hour, a measured hour in the park every day. You need a measured hour in nature every day. If you can be barefoot for that hour, fantastic. Here’s another very important piece of it: we are always around electronics, we are always around aberrant EMF fields, and how do you neutralize it?
24:01 How do you get that off of you? Get on the earth. The earth’s electricity is always pushing that stuff off of you, so it cleans it up. The best way to do that is getting a cold shower or even better getting the cold ocean, because the cold ocean, because it’s got salt in it, it’s electrolytic and it just cleans it up faster. And that also, by the way, is connected to emotional turmoil.
24:22 If you get into, let’s say you’re, you know, my husband, wife, whatever, significant other, kids, something freaking out and you go through this emotional chaos, one of the best things you can do for yourself is jump into ice cold water, jump into a cold ocean. It just clears that up because ultimately it’s really an electrical storm going on up here and the ocean just neutralizes it, it takes it away. You know, you know, we’ve had Wim on about a year and a half ago and it was amazing to me to see how quickly he rose.
24:49 You know, because when I, I remember three, four years ago I think even being like, I don’t know if I want to have this guy on, he’s jumping in the ice, and then I have him on the show and he’s on Oprah and he’s hanging out with Tony Robbins and, like, everyone really embraced this cold stuff so fast. Did it surprise you how quickly people embraced that and embraced Wim? I mean, I just spent 10 minutes in a cold pool before this because I know it gets my brain back to where I need it.
25:10 Yes. But you’ve been doing this for so long, did it surprise you that this was embraced so quickly? Yes. Or do you think it’s a component of us in this kind of disconnected Facebook culture where when we do feel something that’s real we gravitate to, gravitate towards? I was surprised because I’ve been on it for 20 years, I’m, you know, I’ve been a fanatic for the Arctic, I’ve been a fanatic for ice baths, I’ve been a fanatic for cutting holes in lakes and jumping in the middle of winter.
25:34 I’ve been fanatic about running around in the snow, like in my place in Ontario, Canada, with barefoot, so it starts out, you start one minute, then you go two and also you’re doing five, the next thing it’s ten minutes outside barefoot, and so that’s been my experience, and that’s hard to get people to do that with you, and it’s been a battle all along, and on Wim comes on, it’s like, yes, hallelujah. Sometimes it’s the messenger, isn’t it? It’s weird, sometimes people just connect with the guy having the message and he’s the Wim Hof, he’s the Iceman, and then they do it, right?
26:03 Yeah, and it’s inspiring, he’s inspiring. I mean, the guy’s got 26 world records, pretty soon he’s gonna have the world record for world records. You know, and so that it’s finally that got into people’s heads, they’re like, oh wait, this guy’s like full on, let’s do this, you know, he’s got, he’s got validity just by his feats and accomplishments. Yeah, it’s incredible. Yeah, and he’s doing the immune studies and all that stuff.
26:26 So, all right, so grounding, an hour a day in nature, also it gets you out of this crazy constructed world of all of our straight lines and 90-degree angles. Well said. Okay, so that’s another reason to get out there and just. Well said, right, that actually, you’re, it’s interesting because, you know, coming from that background of San Diego we do have some similar thoughts, right? And one of the things is the fractal patterns of nature are very important for harmony the straight line right angles of cities is disorderly and it’s disharmonious, and therefore just getting that, it’s like listening to death metal versus like a symphony.
27:07 Not that I don’t like certain types of death metal, but you know what I mean, it’s like when it’s disharmonic it’s disturbing, and the harmonies of nature and the patterns of nature, that’s how we like to talk about permaculture and farming. Is really what I’m doing with the growing trees, it’s patterns. We’re looking at different patterns, that pattern would look good there, that pattern looks good there, you know, this pattern is nice for over here, this pattern works for this side of the garden, it’s a type of art.
27:31 Okay, so what I’ve been doing in the last year or so is I have a routine now where on Saturdays I go to Hampstead Heath, which is an amazing place here in London, it’s called a heath, which means it’s not like a park that’s been designed, it’s like a lot of growths and trees and stuff, and I do like my hill sprints and get my cardio done and then I jump in the lake there. I’m starting to see some patterns here, right, and I don’t know why I do this anymore but it just feels right. So I jump in this lake and I swim around the water and then I walk through the trees and I sometimes, and I’m coming from an MIT background, and sometimes I’m like, man, there’s some intelligence up there and they’re trying to tell me something.
28:04 And I had this realization the other day where there was this huge tree, must have been two, three hundred years old, and it’s looking down at us and saying, okay, you humans, I know you think everything is so important to do this and do this and do this, but we’re watching this up here and it’s sometimes kind of funny watching you guys. And I don’t know, am I having some of these reactions that you see with your people that you know? I think so, yes. I think what’s happening is you’re tuning into one of the things that makes life great, which is the subtle messages of nature, the things where you go, did I really get a message from that tree or was that just my mind?
28:39 Yeah, you know, that’s what makes life great, it’s those little things like that where you’re like, okay, maybe that was a little inspiration from that tree or a little, little thought was precipitated by that tree. And what I like to say with that is, you know, trees are, they’re an intelligence. They are a force for good, they are magical, they have a strong influence on our inspiration. It’s amazing you even brought that up, that that trees did something to you that affected you, and that’s one of the things about Southern California that bothered me, is there’s not enough trees.
29:13 We’d get up to like Bear Valley where we went to Super Camp and I remember being there, you know, do you remember that? Yeah, powerful pine trees, pine trees and like forests, and all of a sudden I was there in April of 1977 or ’78 when In Search Of came out, the Bigfoot episode, remember that? Yeah, right, Leonard Nimoy did the voiceover, right? And so then, and so that was all like, you know, whatever, come on, that look like a guy in a monkey suit or something, but then all of a sudden when I got up there in 1984 for Super Camp and those trees and those mountains up in Northern California, I was like, whoa, this, this might be real, there might be something here, and it was, it just activated something, and that’s what forests do, they activate something, and what we like to say is we’re going to replant the great forests of the world, we’re going to overgrow the government, we overgrow the government.
30:06 I run a non-profit organization that plants fruit trees every single day all over the world. Okay, an idea to kind of put the nature back. I’m a fanatical tree planter, so I realized this year that if that organization didn’t exist, we founded it in 2002, it’s a miracle a month, every single month for 15, 16 years running. I remember this one gal, blind gal in a wheelchair, first time she ever planted a tree, you know, like those moments are priceless, they’re, it’s, we do that every month, and if that wasn’t going on I’d have to be doing it, right?
30:40 It’s like that’s how much of a fanatical planter I am, it’s like non-stop, always guerrilla planting, like right now at Woody’s place a gal had come to my event and gave me a branch of a goji berry with goji berries on it, that branch, it will clone, so I mean I could stick that in the ground, it will grow, so I’m finding a place in the backyard there, in the back garden, where I’m going to pop that thing in, you know, no one has to know. I love that, guerrilla, guerrilla planting, guerrilla planting, that’s awesome. You know, my, my science degree tells me the plants can’t talk to me, right, and yet I’m just feeling this weird connection, and this isn’t happening on a regular, regular basis, and so look, I’m trying to be open-minded and go with this stuff a little bit more.
31:18 One other thing I’ll say because I want to get back to you, what the last three months have been like for you, have you ever been to the Sagrada Familia church? It’s in the, it’s in Barcelona and it’s still being constructed, it was one of Gaudi’s visions, like 100 years, and if you go inside of that and look at this church, it’s actually feels like you’re in a grove of trees because the columns are sprouted in such a way that it looks like nature and has this really weird calming effect. So I’ve been in front of it, I never went in it, we got to the front of it, it was like a complete, like, tourist nightmare situation, so I was like, you know, I got it, it’s cool, let’s go to do something else.
31:53 So I’ve been there but it never went inside. Okay, go inside, because the interior will confirm a lot of ideas you have. Okay. And the inside looks completely different than the outside, it’s actually quite shocking. So all right, good, keep going back.
32:06 Yes, one of the things, so I’ll be with no Monaco, he’s not coming with me to Iceland, I’m just going to Iceland for, I, you know, I broke my foot, so I’m going for the final rehab is kind of what that’s all about. Okay, then I’ll jump over to Ontario and I’ll be in Ontario for Halloween and with all my crew there and everything like that, and that’s, you know, I got to pull in the last plants because, you know, we do indoor, outdoor where there’s, you have, it gets minus 40 there in the winter, you can’t leave olive trees outside, so I got to bring them inside, do those kind of things and kind of wrap everything up for the winter. Then I’ll head to California and I’ll be in Southern California, Northern California and then over to Hawaii, and then I’ll be with Woody actually, because we’re going to do a long cleanse.
32:44 He’d been in London for a year and we’ve been talking, we had, did a long cleanse two years ago that was just awesome. I did 28 days on liquids and went through a whole, a whole longevity conference just on liquids, you know, really on almost no food, and it’s amazing, you get into really high places. We like to say nothing is better for pain. You ever heard that phrase, take our product, nothing else is better for pain? Nothing is better for pain, sometimes doing nothing, like not eating or not, you know, having meals, just drinking or just drinking water is best thing for your pain, or best thing for you, or best thing for your emotional pain or best thing for your physical pain, and that’s why we like to do cleansing.
33:25 It’s just sometimes you got to go in and you got to just meditate and you just got to sit with the turmoil and be with it and sit with the discomfort, and you know how our culture is, we run from discomfort and we run to drugs, we run to alcohol, we run to food. Yeah, and we substitute pleasure for happiness. Yup, and then wonder why it doesn’t work, right? So stressing the body again, something that you’re doing again in the way of diet, cleanse, what would that actually look like?
33:48 So you and Woody, 28 days for example, what the kind of things that you would be doing, eating, if I watched you? Okay, so what’s going to happen is we go to liquids first and then I have a kit at my house, so I’ve been saving, it’s a Rise and Shine cleanse from my friend Rich Anderson, who’s this guy’s just an awesome guy, he’s one of the great, he’s one of the great masters of intestinal cleansing, knowledge and herbalism, and we’ll do that, we’ll do his kit with the liquid, so it’s kind of like doing shakes every day. You just do like in the beginning when you start out you do four shakes, five shakes in a day just to make sure you’re not too hungry, and it shakes a good, it’s like if you have us five smoothies a day, you don’t really need a whole lot more food.
34:29 Gradually as you get deeper into it that’s suddenly four, then it’s three, then it’s two, then we get down to one shake a day and the rest is water, and then that’s gonna be a month in, and then at that point, and all during this process we’re doing enemas and clinics, we have acupuncture, we’re gonna have massage therapists there, and then you just keep going deeper and deeper and deeper and yeah, you can have real lows, energetic lows, where you’re like, I can’t, I gotta lay in bed, sorry, I can’t do the yoga class, I have no energy, but then all of a sudden you have like second wind experiences where obviously you have more energy you can even believe, you’re like, you haven’t eaten anything in 15 days and you’re loaded with energy you’re like, how could this be happening?
35:09 So this is like a, you know, it’s really an internal and spiritual experience and you have to face your demons. And what are you doing with your brain the whole time? Meditating, you’re having talks with Woody? Yeah, we’ll put, we’ll play chess or something. Will you stay off the web and off email or do you do a little business too?
35:27 Well, I will have to do business because it’s just how I am, I have to, just certain things I have to do, but I will graduate as I get deeper and deeper into it, I’ll, I will acknowledge my team and be like, okay, can you take over this job for me for this week and I’m going to back off on these jobs and if you guys can just cover for me, if an emergency happens let me know, but I’m going to kind of just try to lay off, which you can get there later as you go in. And that’s the most difficult part of cleansing, especially the first few weeks as you get into it, you have to gradually do the work and you can’t hide from the difficulties of the work by, oh, let me distract myself with eating, let me distract myself with dinner. You just have to stay in it, and that is really one of the most difficult things, it is for me anyway.
36:10 Right, and then you don’t distract yourself with social media as well, so you just take that away and then you have to be with yourself, you have to be with yourself. Yeah, which is where all the learning comes, the growth comes, and sometimes the discomfort, right? Yeah, yeah. So you mentioned longevity, what is your stance on longevity? How long will you be living and, you know, 100 years from now how long will the rest of us be living?
36:30 Because if you look at America right now it looks like it’s going lower and lower every year. Well, it’s going to go lower and lower every year for some people depending on their belief system and it’s going to go higher and higher for others depending on their belief system, which is going to precipitate different actions, right? Our belief system is all made up, we just buy into stuff like, like we were taught science background, so we just believed it all and we’re like, okay, and then we make certain actions based on those belief systems later, and we’ve all had this experience where we found out that it’s something we believed for 20 years would turn out to be wrong.
36:58 It’s like, wait a second, maybe everything I believe turned out to be wrong if I really looked at it. So what I like to say is we like to entertain possibilities, I’m not into believing things, right? Do you believe in this? It’s like, no, I entertain that as a possibility, and that could also be possible, and I try to stay away from that because that allows me to take different types of actions. Now one of the things I do entertain is that we could live a lot longer than we do.
37:21 We might be able to live 140, we might be able to get to 160, it’s possible to get to 200 or longer, it’s possible, and that has caused me, just that entertaining that possibilities caused me to look at places I wouldn’t have looked at before and also to take actions I wouldn’t have taken before. One of those actions is not only the cleansing and dietary strategies, and one of the things I haven’t mentioned is the charcoal. You know, the charcoal is, in animal research nothing extends life longer than charcoal, which indicates that detoxification is more important than nutrition because charcoal is not nourishing you, but it’s a drying agent so it’s drawing off metabolic toxins and toxins we’re breathing in, other toxins in our environment.
38:03 But when we get really deep into, you know, like okay, we’re looking at the overall picture and we’re looking at the overall possibilities of longevity, you can’t get into it without looking at stem cells. Stem cells come in and that’s with, and I had to go through that process of having my stem cells extracted out of my bone marrow and it was uncomfortable because I’m not into, both my parents or doctors, I’m not into doctors and hospitals because of the things I’d seen as a kid, and I had to put myself through that because I entertained the possibility that if I had my stem cells banked and then if I could take my stem cells and keep them at the levels that they were when we were 16 and 17, then we can feel like we’re 16 and 17 again. I’ve experienced that and I know that’s true, so I’m glad I did that, but it was uncomfortable.
38:55 Go into your hip with a needle? Uh-huh. And there’s no anesthesia for it there? Well, they put you on propofol, it’s the best thing, it’s an alcohol anesthetic, and I felt it go in, I didn’t feel the pain but you feel like, oh, there’s a thing sticking on my hip, and it’s like a weird sensation, and you know I’m, I am, you know, to some, a bit large degree, not happy with needles and not happy with any of that, so, but I put myself through it because I entertain the possibility that, hey, maybe with stem cells we could get somewhere big and major.
39:24 Some of my friends, Peter Nygard, amazing self-made billionaire, very interesting guy, and we’ve been friends for 15, 20 years and all these years I’ve been, you got to go organic, Peter, please, you can’t get off the sugar, you got to get off this toxic stuff, and finally, you know, he listened, step by step he listened, and then when his mom passed he was also friends of with me and my family, he really changed and he was like, whoa, I’m mortal, I could die, and he started looking at all the different stem cell strategies out there. Now he does about four of them a year, I’m young enough, I do one a year. Okay, one injection of your stem cells back into you?
40:00 Yes. Okay, so let me explain that a little bit because people like, okay, what, embryonic stem cells, what kind of stem cells? Basically the best stem cells for you are you, the best stem cells definitely would be your umbilical cord and placenta, and we don’t have that, unfortunate. I don’t know if you have your placenta an umbilical cord. No, but just had a son and they said, do you want to keep the umbilical cord and placenta, and I didn’t know that I should have.
40:23 Oh, so okay, okay, next one. Okay, but I got a backup plan for that, that’s okay because the dental pulp of a young child, you can get the sample from there and freeze that and then when that child is now your age, you know, or our age, then you have that sample frozen, that’s like really a lot better than an eight, an older stem cell that they would extract out of us now. Okay, so the idea is you want to get the stem cells out as young as possible so that you have you at that youngest age, the healthiest, most vigorous forces, Rudolf Steiner called them the ethereal forces, the water forces, the juiciness of the youth anyway.
41:01 They take that out and then the first treatment is they’re going to take part of that, freeze it so we have that forever, they’re going to take part of that, goes to the lab, that’s about it. So let’s say they take eight ounces out, one ounce goes to the freezer, one ounce goes to the lab, six ounces goes right back into your blood. So the first treatment is this, and in my opinion most powerful medical procedure going, most important thing ever, and I want every hospital to be doing this and I hope we can break through the medical monopolies and mafias that we are all facing, because they are blocking this in westernized countries.
41:32 That’s why we go to Mexico to get this done. It could be done in Baltimore, Maryland, Washington DC, New York City, London, but we have to do medical tourism, that’s okay, because there’s people stopping it because they don’t understand it or they want to own it. Yep. Okay, or they have other things they’d rather, you know, that we’ve got these drugs and we don’t want that competing, right. Anyway, so what happens is that, what’s we know from eight, we know we haven’t now have an angle on aging that we didn’t have before.
42:00 Your stem cells, like with my mom when she had that treatment done, she was rejuvenated within four hours, she’s trying to choke Hulk Hogan out. No kidding. Because we were there with Hulk Hogan and my mom is, I’m not gonna say her age, but if I said her age I would be paying for that for the rest of my natural born life, which hopefully would be over 200 years. But even my mom at that, when she had that done she literally jumped up on the chair, jumped on Hulk Hogan’s back, and I have never seen my mom do that at any age ever.
42:31 She completely forgot she was in a wheelchair, she completely forgot she was arthritic, and that blew my mind, it blew everybody’s mind, because when you get that bone marrow into your blood you’re basically doing what your body’s trying to do anyway. Your body’s always, and now always has been, trying to migrate the new you out of the progenitor cells that are inside your bone marrow and migrate those into your blood, and as we age that gets disturbed, we know that now, and we all, we’re doing is we’re just bypassing, we’re just saying, well, it’s disturbed, we can’t get the juice out, so let’s take it out and then put it in the blood. So that first treatment is really powerful.
43:09 I had a tooth, a bad tooth in the back, my thing that was, I cracked it on a hamburger when I was 14 years old, of all things. Wow, in San Diego. I’m not going to say the name of this. Okay. You know, you know, you know where it is and you know it’s in Grossmont.
43:22 Okay. Fudd… Oh yeah, Fuddruckers. You remember it? Yeah, I do.
43:26 Okay, and there was a bone in it and it cracked my back tooth and that tooth was never right since then. I had a mercury filling put in, 10 years later I was like, I got to get this mercury out. I had a composite put in, the dentist like, I don’t know man, it’s not going gonna work, and I was like, just try. He tried, it didn’t work, a year later fell out and I was like, you know what, that’s my best dentist, he can’t fix it, I’m gonna leave it because I suspect that maybe our teeth could heal themselves, because we’re told, no, it can never heal itself, and I was like, ah, I’ve seen evidence it can, so I’m going to go with it can, and it did, and for 20 years I lived with that broken tooth but I could chew on it, it was normal, I was like, okay.
44:00 Then a couple pieces broke off and in like 2013 and the pain started and it went for a year, and you know how dental stuff is, it gets worse, right, and it kept getting worse and worse and worse, I was like in cold sweats going, I got it, I, you know, Dennis is like, we gotta pull it, we gotta pull, and I’m like, no, I know there’s something, I know there’s something. I hung on, well, I didn’t know until after that I had my first stem cell treatment that stem cells have a very strong effect on renewed dental health, and five days after my first treatment that pain went away, never came back. Wow.
44:33 You know how dental stuff is, it gets worse, somehow this made it get better, and I was like, I got chills right now, that woke me up, that woke me up, I started going, whoa. Okay, and so then now I’ve, you know, been going back, I think I’ve had five, but they don’t have to go into my bone anymore, they can replicate it, they replicate, so they take 10,000 cells out, a little tiny, tiny, tiny little piece of frozen bone marrow juice and say it has 10,000 stem cells in it and they multiply that to 300 million in an IV bag over four or five weeks, and then you go in and just get an IV and that’s it, takes 20 minutes, you’re done. Okay, and you do this annually?
45:06 I do this every year and I take my family every year to do it. Okay, and this could be the trick to getting 200 years old? Yes, it’s not gonna happen without that though, even with the greatest nutrition and all the charcoal, probably not. Probably not, okay, I probably agree with you on that. Yeah.
45:19 So everyone should be doing it. Do you have to go to Mexico or this could all be done in any fa, at any family doctor? It could all be done in any hospital, and this is why we battle for medical freedom in our world, it’s why I fight for medical freedom. We don’t have the medical freedoms we could have. What will happen is that the big powers, monopolies that control things and control also media, because you can see if you look at media what commercials are on that media, and so you know who’s owning it, they wanna, you know, it’s just, it’s the nature of capitalism, it’s the nature of what we gotta deal with, it’s like we don’t really have freedom but we can fight for it and get it if, but we gotta fight because the monopolies don’t want us to have that choice.
45:57 It’s funny if you look at some of the big media outlets, and I’m not going to name names, like 60 Minutes or CNN or whatever, you look at those advertisers and you’re like, why are they there? And it’s like there’s a big advertiser’s getting lots of money and it’s just like, well, it’s almost like this put option, it’s like they’re giving them the money and it’s this implied thing of just keep the messages coming kind of how we like them, and if we pull our money all of a sudden then maybe you gave the wrong message, and so everyone is kind of, whether they know it or not, involved in this idea of keeping some information from you. That’s well said, well said, because I can definitely see there’s evil in the world, I can definitely see there’s organized crime at high levels in the world, but a lot of it’s just passive, right?
46:36 If I’ve got a business and I got a monopoly, you know, the average person is not really going to be thinking like, you know, compassionately about everybody they’re affecting with by holding certain technologies at bay, and you know what I mean, so you know somebody’s in a boardroom every day, they’re like, look, we got to stop this competition. I get that, and the internet and YouTube and what it’s done to circumvent all those things has had a very positive effect on health because it allows people to have more options. Yeah, and people love it when we put out messages like this because it’s like, oh wow, let’s get just this independent view and let’s hear some just interesting ideas, and it’s amazing how our gut reaction is, uh, what is this pseudoscience, what is the stuff, because even the more enlightened ones or open-minded ones have still gotten the same kind of old story over and over again, and so yeah, a lot of people want to hear these new ideas.
47:28 Yeah, a lot of people want to hear new ideas and they are ideas again, we’re entertaining possibilities here, we’re looking at, like I’ve met with the top stem cell doctor in China, Doctor Who, friends with Nygard, and he told me that they had injected direct, directly stem cells into the pancreas and rejuvenated diabetes type 1, they had cured it. How come I’m not hearing about that more and more and more? You know why, what is going on in our world that we don’t get all of that news?
47:56 Yeah, because Lipitor makes too much money, right? Yeah, but don’t get me started. I’ve had a few guests for the last few months and it’s just become more and more obvious. I mean, they say things like the entire medical establishment and the medical educational institutions are, you know, all de facto kind of bought and paid for by the pharmaceuticals, whether they want to or not, or if it’s active or passive, all the studies are funded, etc., and it just keeps things from moving forward, and in the days of internet and YouTube it’s kind of hard to believe how that can still be in play.
48:25 Right, yeah, exactly, chipping away at it every day, we’re doing good, we are breaking through, it’s good. I’m very, I’m very heartened by what’s going on in the world actually, and we’ve never had more freedom of information. It’s good news. Talk to me about the state of America, because, you know, you’ve been known to say that, you know, the Western world has never been sicker nor more unhappy, health and happiness are two of the most important pressing issues of our time.
48:48 You know, you look at America and I look across the pond and I just see everything going the opposite way of what everyone seems to know. We have more information than ever and yet people aren’t taking action on that at all. How do you see it because you spend some time there, and how is this going to play out in the next 20 years? Great question and it’s something I think about a lot, and my heart goes out to Californians and Texans who’ve dealt with these recent catastrophes, and it’s a rough situation in America, I would say, because we do have all the freedoms, we have this most amazing infrastructure, we’ve got this incredible information of like how to heal ourselves and be happier and all that, and it’s like this, it’s like a person who does not read is known better off than a person who cannot read, and so we’re, it’s a divergent thing, you’ve got a group here that’s just, they don’t want to read, they don’t want to know, they don’t want to look at it, they thought they learned it all in school, they thought there’s no more new ideas and they’re going to go that way and they’re going to suffer the consequences, and it’s a bummer, it really is, but then there’s the group that is getting it and in America that group is millions strong, and so that heartens me, I’m like stoked about what I’m seeing in comment sections, like, whoa, people are getting up, people are waking up, this is amazing what’s going on, and it’s both at the same time, so it’s like you got this incredible tension that’s building up and we see it in American politics, we see it
50:16 In American business, we see it in the culture of America now. What’s interesting about that is this does give rise to incredible culture, it gives rise to incredible film, it’s like the television shows of today, like this Game of Thrones and that kind of stuff, I wish I had time to watch it, I don’t, but why I check in with my friends who are in the film business, you know, like Woody and those guys, and what’s going on and they tell me stuff and I’m, I am absolutely impressed with the depth and the sophistication of it. See, this is what they said, you know, in the 1930s, you know, at the time of like Hitler and this chaos that was building in Europe, and you know, America is looking, going, what’s going on over there?
50:56 This also gives rise to like development of culture and like breakthroughs where ideas that were long suppressed suddenly come out, good or bad, and it’s like, this is a cool thing to me, I am a person who believes that we take it all, we look at it all and we don’t go, oh, that can’t be true because I don’t want to look at it, or that can’t be possible because, you know, Stan, you can only live 100 years, stem cells can’t, you know, really do that because my belief tells me so. No, I get, let’s get rid of all, let’s look at all possibilities. and let’s stay in inspiration, and that’s the message I’m always bringing in America, is like, I get the divergent nature of this and ultimately, you know, it doesn’t matter if you are on with the breakthroughs or not, everybody’s just a person and everybody wants to just, you know, be loved and everybody wants to be touched and appreciated, and so I like talking to all levels, that’s why I’m successful in social media I think, is I love all people, all levels of people.
51:56 I grew up, you know, I was raised in also in East Coast, New York, New Jersey, before we came to California, and Moberly, Missouri, and my experience is being at the roots level of like the South, right, where it’s like Marva, the black woman who raised us for a lot of my three, four, five, six years old, you know, just she represented the black woman from the South, she had that twang that just, something I appreciated about that so much and still today love so much. And so it doesn’t matter, you know, even my detractors and attackers, I feel for them, I’m like, man, the programming is so intense, you know, like you’re against this, this is a fact. It’s like, no dude, it’s not a fact, it’s not a fact, it’s a theory, and I’ll stay, and I’ll stay, I try to stay, you know, in with them, you know, be like, I get how angry you are at me because I think differently, but you got to also at some point break down your thinking to change, you’ve got to change your mind at some point, and I’m trying to help you to get there.
53:00 And how would you characterize those different mindsets: Brooklyn, Missouri, San Diego? Good, I, bro, you know, Brooklyn, and Brooklyn’s culture, right, break dancing, it’s street. When I was a kid growing up in Brooklyn it was like there was 50 kids on that street and we played and we had so much fun. The blizzard of 1977, I remember we had a 13 foot tall ice castle that we were throwing snowballs at each other from top to bottom and up and down, and it was really amazing time to be alive in that place.
53:34 So that’s where culture comes from, when you get all these kids to mix ideas and playing together, you know, until night, and there was no fear of like somebody gonna kidnap somebody or any of that, we grew up without that, it was great. Urbanism, urbanism, it was an urban excitement, and you know, the kids across the way were in a band and we’d hear them, were 15 years old, I think they later became Anthrax, you know, the band Anthrax. Yeah, so it was like, you know, we were in that, it was just so cool.
54:01 And then Missouri was, you know, it’s like big farms and being on a farm and learning about farming and in the farmhouse and bathing in the lake, right, there was no running water at the farmhouse, you had to bathe in the lake, was like, okay, we’re going to go in the lake and bathe in the lake and, you know, getting to know all that stuff, and so that roots aspect for me, you know, the tree planting part of me and the farming part of me comes from Missouri. And then coming to California and being at my uncle’s ranch at the border and being connected to Mexican culture, and geez, I mean, guacamole, where would we be without it? Need avocados for guacamole, right?
54:42 Yeah, and then that’s how I got into avocado growing, and I’m, you know, I’m gonna toot my own horn here, my avocados are badass. I’ve been growing avocado since 1977. My avocados are as big as my head. I grow the Guatemalan, oily, fatty, big ones, the ones also Mexican style, the more pear-shaped, real oily kind that are beyond Hass, they’re the real deal, like you can’t eat a whole one in a day, no way, it’s too much food. Where do you grow these?
55:09 In Hawaii. In Hawaii, okay. Well, they only grow there, they, you could, there are some varieties like Pinkertons that you could, they’re those real fatty oily kind that are Mexican originally that you could grow in Southern California, they could make it. Okay, would I bump into those in Brazil, maybe in Rio de Janeiro? You could have.
55:25 Okay, generally on in Brazil, from what I’ve seen, they have the more wet avocados which are lower in fat, they’re a little bit, they’re not as tasty, they’re not the ones that we love so much, but they’re lower in calories by about 30 percent, so if you’re worried about that, they’re good. Okay, all right, and so just going with that analogy, New York was that urbanism, that kind of excitement, then the South was the rural area and the conservative, the South is always more conservative. It’s very conservative.
55:51 Yep, but it’s all, there’s also a contentment, right, you know, it was like Marva wasn’t looking to become a billionaire. Yeah, she was looking to have a happy life, she lived in a trailer, you know, she was, she had that sweet disposition, so I learned about contentment there, and then coming to Southern California where just boom, all possibilities fire off and anything can happen, and you know, just the great education that we got, but I mean, when we were kids, that public education that we got in the magnet schools of San Diego, I mean, you tell me, I mean, that, how has that affected your life? Because it has very strongly affected my life, I got a better education there in seventh, eighth and ninth grade than I ever got in college or in, or in high school.
56:31 Yeah, and I think that only would happen in California, maybe I’m wrong, but first of all California, it’s, you know, it’s the end of the continent. They always say that the East Coast is much more like England, it is, they call it New England, right, so Boston and New York, it’s definitely more influenced on what it’s like in London, I would say. California is like the end of the road, it’s where all the weirdos go and it’s so separated from the rest of America that everyone just has their own ideas, and when you grow up in it, it’s like goldfish and water, they don’t know they’re in the water, right, so I don’t, I didn’t know I was there.
56:59 But to give people some background, you know, I grew up in Pacific Beach, La Jolla, which is basically very suburban, white, nothing bad happens neighborhood, there’s some surfer guys hanging out, and when I was in fifth grade, fourth, fifth grade, my mom decided to bust me down to southeast San Diego, and I went to a school that was 90 percent black and Hispanic and I learned science, computer science, I was programming Fortran and Pascal when I was 14 years old, 15 years old, I was taking AP Chemistry, I was cutting open cow’s eyes and doing all this crazy stuff and getting culture and taking a bus one hour each way, and it was this weird experiment that I think probably only would exist in California and it only existed, I think, maybe 10 or 15 years.
57:39 Yep, and we both were a part of it, isn’t that amazing? It was some, I think it was a successful experiment, I would say, and I think what we learned there is really the cutting edge, I, you know, it’s like to get that in public school today may be impossible anywhere in the world, but we were in that experiment and it was a success and man am I thankful for those experiences and those teachers. Yeah, Mr. Borden, if you’re watching, Mr. Borden, right, the chemistry teacher, he was amazing, they instilled like this passion about learning that was like kind of de facto for them and so it made it de facto for us, and I’m sure it affected me because when I got to school we could tell it was something special here, we could tell we were learning something on the cutting edge and we were all excited, they were excited, so yeah, it definitely carried me through, and when I got to Torrey Pines later still some great schools there and it was great teachers and all that stuff, but it was less of the feeling of where this little SEAL team going through these little missions.
58:40 Yes, that I felt like out in Converse. Yeah, Gompers School and Bell Junior High School where, I probably knew your brother and I’m getting a picture, I’m getting them in my mind right now and I’m thinking about because there was different buses that went to different areas, right, so we were in the Del Cerro area, College Avenue, and you guys were like Tourmaline Beach kind of area, right? You’re like Point Loma, where, no, sorry, where Pacific Beach goes into La Jolla.
59:03 Correct. You were up, that’s a different bus. Yeah, yeah, you were on a different bus, and you know, all the buses were out in the front of the school and we all knew everything, all the kids knew each other and it was neat, I was very thankful for those experiences. Yeah, we were really lucky for that. You know, we were talking a little bit about nutrition earlier and you started talking about culture and art and Game of Thrones and some of these other things, how do you see these related to each other?
59:27 Because it seems to me that you look at them very much the same. I do, I mean, I’m very much interested in all of them and in an equal way. I broke through in the field of nutrition because I am a student of nutrition and I’ve loved it my whole life, and when I finally realized, oh, this is what I should do with my life, obvious, it was a great breakthrough in August of 1994 when that happened, where I was like, oh of course, what was I thinking, and you know, this is, this has always been a passion, but learning is a passion for me, I will dig into stuff to the nth degree, turn it upside down, flip it around, look underneath, backwards and forwards, and it’s offensive to me when someone says, did you know about this or that, or that’s like, dude, come on, it’s like I dug into that 20 years ago and flipped it upside down, read eight books on the subject, and not that I feel like I know anything, but I’m still feeling like, hey, I’ve done the research on that.
1:00:23 And so there are people out there, fortunately in my field, who know how much of a researcher I am. It is non-stop. I will, I, and I am a non-stop type of person, I don’t take days off ever, like I, we did the event on Sunday here in London, wonderful event, packed house, best ever, it was about, it was the event of the year actually. So then after that I’ve got to go with my whole crew, we have a nice little dinner, get everybody calm down, you know, talk with how it went and, you know, yes it was great, all good, but then after that I got to go to work, I have to get on the computer, I have to get on my phone, I start communicating, I’ve got messages backing up, it’s like that, and then I’ll do that until two or three or four in the morning, then from three in the morning, four in the morning until five or six, then I get time to actually research and educate myself and learn, then I’ll sleep three or four hours, get up, get going, you know, because you’re asking me how, what the day is like, I’ll sleep three or four hours, get up, get going and power, power, power, and then usually somewhere I’ll get like a five or ten minute nap that kind of would have been two hours of sleep if I’d slept through, but in the day you can get away with it, you know, all of a sudden like in the cab I’ll be like, you know, out for five minutes, all of a sudden I’m awake and then boom, I’m wide awake and then I can pour it on right on through the next day and get and keep going, and it’s like that for me.
1:01:37 So to me research is a gift and a gift that I give to myself at the end of my work day, so I can get an hour or two hours of interesting research in each day, and I’m really, I think I’m really on to something, I really do, and not only in the way that I live my life but I think on in the research that we can do today where you can cross-reference books and what you’re learning on the internet and get a different people who can inform you of their perspective, it’s incredible today with communication as we have it. A lot of your critics say that your work isn’t scientific, and so it might surprise them to hear you say that you probably are better researched than anybody out there. Why do they have that impression of you?
1:02:19 Oh, I like that because they’re scientismic. What is that? So what does this mean is that I’m in the scientific method, I do know from experience that the scientific method is not the only way we can know something, there’s also just experience. Right, if I do something a certain way and all of a sudden I’m doing it slightly different, there’s a little instinct that goes off, tells me don’t do it that way because that’s not how you often do it, don’t grab the door that way because, or don’t grab that tree that way because there might be a thorn there or something, you know, it’s like a memory.
1:02:47 Experience is a way of knowing, scientific method is a way of knowing, intuition and instinct is a way of knowing, synchronicity is a way of knowing, where all of a sudden, like, I was going to go have my foot X-ray the whole thing and all of a sudden synchronicities were occurring told me something, do something else, you know. I ran into an old roommate of mine at a wedding randomly, he was the photographer, completely random, in Long Island, out in the Hamptons, and all of a sudden he’s like, yeah, he’s like, dude, you broke your foot? Like, yeah dude, it’s bad, it’s like boom, boom, boom, and he tells me his experience of his broken foot last year, exactly the same injury, exactly the same situation, and then he’s laying out how he healed it.
1:03:24 I’m like, interesting that this should come up right now. So this thing that we can only learn in a certain way, which is scientific method, is not in alignment with truth, it isn’t. There’s other ways to learn and you can learn from others, you can learn from experience, you can learn from scientific method, you can learn from intuition and instinct, and you can also learn from, you know, a tree might give you a little, hey, you know, check me out, or you know, some messages from nature, that could be real, I’m not saying it is but it could be.
1:03:54 What my detractors are stuck in is they’re stuck in materialism, which is this materialistic explanation for everything and only the material world matters, and I suspect that yes we’re in a material body and yes the material world matters and also your emotional world matters and your mental world matters and your spiritual world matters, and I’ve had to learn from experience that I think it is true what Wayne Dyer said, we’re spiritual beings having a human experience, and that is true, and I understand that possibilities, therefore I don’t live my life from just the physics of the material world, and that’s what my detractors are against because ultimately, what we grew up with, the science background, what do I mean by scientism? Is not the scientific method, it’s all this BS that surrounds the scientific method that says, oh, you’re a Christian, you can’t do science, then, oh, you believe in God, you can’t do science, then, oh, you don’t believe in the Big Bang, you can’t do science.
1:04:53 Then who said so? Who’s saying that? Well, I’ll tell you who’s saying it, it’s people who are, their religion is materialism, their religion is the materialistic explanation, and they have co-opted science and dragged it into this BS which is called scientism, which says, oh, there’s a pill for every ill, we know that. It’s like, oh no, there’s actually physical causes of illness but there’s also spiritual causes of illness and there are definitely emotional causes of illness, we look at all of them.
1:05:22 I’m not field, I have to look at all of it, and that’s what I’m really, what’s happened, the reason why they’re so upset at me and why they have to call me a pseudoscientist and insult me and all that is because what I’m going after is their religion, their atheistic, scientistic religion, and to them the scientism with Big Bang where naked killer ape are killing each other with survival of the fittest, who survives, the fittest, who are they, the ones who survive, who are the fittest, once you survive, who survives the fittest, it’s a tautology. Can it, you can use it to explain any set of data, right? How, why did they survive?
1:05:57 Oh, cause they were the fittest. Okay, why were they the fittest? Oh, because they had this adaptation over here. Okay, but that can’t predict that that adaptation would occur beforehand, so therefore it’s not really scientific, because scientism is basically co-opting the predictive power of the scientific method, right, it’s saying, oh, after the fact we can say that we predicted it, that’s a tautology, it’s a circular argument. Oh, why did they survive?
1:06:24 Oh, they were stronger physically. Okay, but you couldn’t beforehand, you wouldn’t have said that they would have survived because they were stronger physically, would have said they would survive because they were smarter. You get that? I know what you mean, and they can’t quantify the spiritual, the emotional, so by definition it doesn’t exist. Exactly, and so these two camps will always be separated, or can we just continue this conversation?
1:06:48 Well, what’s happening is I’m exposing it, I really am, and they don’t like that. They re, because if I go after your religious beliefs you get irritated, this comes, people come at my religious beliefs I get irritated with them, I get that. So I’m going after their religious beliefs and they, they get, they will, it becomes an ad hominem attack, it becomes I must destroy you kind of, that’s it’s here, let me get, let me just chunk it right down to you, it’s religious fundamentalism is what it is, what we’re dealing with was the scientism, fanaticism is religious fundamentalism.
1:07:25 There is no god, we’ve proved it, there is no creationism or any, you know, there’s no other theory other. By the way, this thing, if there’s only evolution and only creationism, that’s the biggest pile of BS of all time. It’s either this or that? Nope, it’s something else we haven’t thought of yet, it’s some theory we haven’t even made up yet, it’s going to be something we can’t predict. It’s that, right?
1:07:48 But oh no, we’ve proved it’s evolution. Okay, you’ve got Richard Dawkins and his intelligent genes, meanwhile we’ve got Bruce Lipton, who’s proved for 40 years that the genes express based on the environment. Yeah, those theories can conflict with each other, so they give you two choices and then you have to join one camp or the other. Yeah, it’s like going to dinner and they said, what do you want, red or white wine? Yeah, it’s like, well, how about water, how about I want, you know, tequila or something?
1:08:13 Yeah, I had Bruce here a couple weeks ago and I went into the interview with my scientism thinking, who is this guy, I was taught the genes do this and gene do that, and once you listen to him for about 20 minutes you realize that he’s speaking complete sense. Yep, and once you hear what he’s saying you’re like, oh yeah, that makes a lot of sense, and yet a lot of people will just pigeonhole him here or pigeonhole him there. So, all right, so there’s, it’s not this way or that way, it’s a new way that we all need to figure out together.
1:08:40 Right, exactly, and Pete, and what I found is once people hear this argument, the way I’m describing, people go, oh okay, that makes sense to me, I get it. Now most peop, most normal people are sensible and they get it, and this is how our world is, most people are sensible and do get it and aren’t intelligent and make good, and if given the proper choices they’re going to make intelligent choices. And so what, again, this is what’s getting our world into trouble, it’s the fanatical edge that thinks that they are righteous, you know how that, it’s religious fundamentalism.
1:09:13 It’s that, right? Yeah, and we know what that looks like, and that we know that even when you get quote-unquote religious fundamentals in the room they can actually have conversations, you know. Yeah, you know, it’s amazing how that happens, you meet people from other cultures and when you sit in the same room you’re like, oh, they’re just like me, they just want to be happy, they want their kids to grow up, they want to live a fulfilling life, and they actually don’t want to kill me like my government says they do.
1:09:34 But that’s, we’ll give them that, that’s another one. So let me ask you about your message, because, you know, over the last few years, in case people haven’t noticed yet, you have become a powerhouse when it comes to spreading your message really through social media, and I don’t know if this is something that you stumbled on or something that you planned, I would guess is probably the latter based on your research. How did this happen to where, you know, on Facebook even as we speak right now there’s probably 11 million people there potentially tuning in?
1:10:01 How did this happen? Was this, is this part of the message, the way you deliver the message? Fantastic, thank you. Well, I want to take us back to something that’s very important to all viewers and listeners right now, that’s very important for your life and it’s made my life a success, and it’s, it is one of the most powerful tools we have as a literate human being, and that is writing down your goals and knowing where you want to go and charting it out, detailing it, basically planning your life.
1:10:29 And years ago as I got into the nutrition field and realized what my mission was and how wonderful it could, it could be for all of us if we really lived in harmony with nature and ate healthy food and had healthy meals and ate together slowly like family meals, right, I realized that this, this is big, and so I wrote down this goal: I capture the attention of all media with my message. I wrote that down and that’s how I wrote it down, and I have to tell you, after all these years that’s what’s caused this, that’s the cause, it’s that goal. And so what’s happened is that I did all my own social media and I still do, but you know, Facebook’s gotten so big that I have to now, like at six in the morning, I’m up going, okay, that’s cool, approve that one, this note, reject that, this needs to be changed, that’s what I’m doing, right?
1:11:21 So even after I’ve got my time like, okay, I can watch like fun video, learn something, then immediately after that it’s like, boom, I’m gonna go and check my messages and make sure I’m approving what’s going on tomorrow. It’s like running a newspaper, it’s fun, it’s great. And you said you’re trying to put the Daily Planet out of business. Yeah, yes, definitely, yes, you remember that. And in doing that, doing my own social media, I kept thinking all the years, because it started in 2007, something will come along, I’ll figure something out, I will learn something somewhere, it’s going to be an opportunity, I know it, it’s going to come someday, one day, and I just kept at it, kept at it, kept at it, many times like, oh gosh, I got it, this is too much work, or this is not doing anything for me anyway, it’s not helping me, it’s not helping get the message out there, and then one day, boom, that it came, the message came of what to do, little voice went, do this, and I went, oh, I could try that.
1:12:18 And I was, I remember the moment, I was about to sit at my desk right as a little thing went bing and I went, that could work, and I sat down, typed out a friend of mine, I was like, hey, you want to help me out? Boom, that’s how it started, and all of a sudden very quickly within a couple months we had a lot of success and I was like, wow, we’re having some successes. What was that thing you’re going to tell me? Well, it was a, it was meme, meme generation.
1:12:40 Okay. Right, infographics and memes, I was like, why don’t I just start putting together memes and infographics and just putting it out on social media and see what happens, because I started seeing so many memes and infographics, I was like, I could do that, and I just, right at the right time I did that. Now that was kind of the end of the meme cycle on social media, memes still do very well on social media, right, but where it’s at now is video. So right as soon as we started having success I started thinking, I came from a background, I was gonna go to film school, right, if I didn’t, you know, back in 1994, if I didn’t get into law school, I ended up going to law school, but before that I was thinking, okay, if I don’t get to law school I’ll go to film school, and I was thinking, I got to get on video, I got to get somebody who’s really good at video, I got to get a video team together, and I vetted people out and maybe a year later, year and a half later, I found the right person, boom, brought that person on board and then bam, bam, bam, we’ve been having incredible success, like, and that was three years ago, four years ago, three years ago, four years ago, and before that the memes were five, six years ago when you jumped.
1:13:38 Oh no, the meme started three, like four, four years ago. Okay, all right, so you kind of made a half years ago an early adoption into video, you found the right person. Yes. Okay. Yep, and then that’s really, and then that allows me to get the things that I like and that are fun and that I like media, right, I like, you know, these, you know, I sent off to my team this morning, I want to do a video on the drone that you can stand on, right, you stand on the drone, now it’s like a skateboard type of thing but it’s bigger, and so I was like, wait, let’s cover the story, let’s get this in there, so I like that kind of stuff, I like being able to get out of stuff that’s not nutrition or health, health-based, and it’s just kind of fun stuff, new water sports, and my people on my team are really into water sports and that kind of thing, so we share that and that’s why we create really good videos when it comes to that category, and that’s also allowed me to get messages about moringa, we got a great message out about moringa the other day, yesterday I think, which is one of the great superfoods, so still we’re hitting that and we got that, it’s in the cycle every day, it’s just, I mean, it’s just great, I just get to do all those things that I love to investigate and talk about and show people and I get to do it online and people like it because they sense the vibration, you know, that I’m coming from, which is curiosity and happiness and also respect, you know, respect for, you know, the great innovative work that some of these technologists
1:14:57 Have done and given us a technology that I really like to promote. I have promoted so many cool technologies for free, for free, and non-profits for free, so many, and it’s just, I’ve done that my whole life and it hasn’t always served me, you know, and people have ripped me off many times and what, whatever, it’s just, I’ll promote them anyway, whatever, and I just realized, you know what, I’ll just do it anyway, and it’s not, no sweat off my back, I can still promote them, they’re not paying me, whatever, I like their product, I’ll put it out there and it’s just, it’s good karma, I don’t know what else to tell you. And that’s probably the reason it got so big, is because people can feel the energy, they can feel where you’re coming from on the web, it’s a weird thing with video even more.
1:15:40 I mean, I’ve found that within four seconds, five seconds of putting a selfie video up people know a lot more about you than you could tell them in maybe 10 years, and so they know your vibe, they know whether you’re coming from a good place, from a, a wholehearted place, from a place of, you know, not having an agenda. So people must feel that about you. I think they do feel that, I think that’s why I’m successful, is because it’s authentic. What we do is authentic.
1:16:03 Do we make mistakes? You bet we make mistakes. There could be a situation where, you know, we used a section of a video that was inside another video that we thought was okay to use because that company told us okay to use, and that company said, you know, you used our videos, like, well, that was their video, and they’re like, no, no, it’s our video, we let them use it. I was like, okay, well we’ll just remove it. Stuff like that happens like once a month or once every two months, and I, I apologize that that happens, there’s no way to stop it, right?
1:16:31 It’s like if I go to Google free images and I pull images off of there and later that artist goes, hey, you can’t use my image, it’s like, well, okay, we’ll remove it, but that was on a Google free site, you know, I can’t in advance predict that that’s going to happen. That happens like once a month and that hurts me a little bit. I do have to say because I want artists to be reimbursed and supportive for what they do and to give them credit for what they do, and a lot of times what we’ll do is we’ll contact ours and say, look, we’ll give you credit and we’ll promote you and we’ll even put this even out there further for you, you know, we’ll even make it good for them and even better for them so that they can get some benefit out of it if something like that happens, and that’s the part that people don’t see.
1:17:08 Right, right, they don’t see that. I really feel like, you know, I can do this on a shoestring budget, I’ve done this whole social media thing on the side. Right, if you don’t believe that super power, that superfoods can give you superpowers, and you tell me how I created this thing on the side as a side job from my normal thing, you have to have extra energy, there’s no other way. How do you have more energy? You got to take care of yourself, you got to detoxify your body, you got to eat right, you got to not eat too much, you got to, you got to have something that inspires you because when you’re inspired you have more energy.
1:17:41 Right, yeah, and that’s evidence of you living that great life. Yeah, the Facebook, the Facebook page is kind of evidence like that, I don’t know what more proof you need, like, you know, we created this as a little side hobby for fun, look at this, it’s amazing, and it’s become now, you know, the Facebook is so much fun for me and I’m just so happy for the Facebook platform, and actually Mark Zuckerberg, hopefully you’ll watch this video at some point, he lives on my street, we live on the same street. How crazy is that?
1:18:08 That’s crazy. What can you tell us, you’re on the cutting edge of social media like that, what can you tell us about the state of the current human experience out there because you see the feedback, the posts, the shares and stuff, like I’m sure you can tell me something that not many people know. Okay, I can. Yeah, I can because I see the trolling, I see where these people are coming from, I see the intensity of the anger that’s out there. So interesting, you think in American culture we’ve got everything you could ever want, but it’s precip, interestingly precipitated a lot of discontent and anger.
1:18:40 It’s, you know, what is it about the anger that’s so full on in American culture, the volatility? You sense the volatility, I think, you know, being over here you can, you’re like, whoa, it’s volatile over there, and what, you know, what is that? And I think it has to do with this, I think it has to do with scientism. I think we’ve gotten so materialistic and then we bought into that was real and that’s all that is, that we’ve lost track of our spiritual center, and that we are spiritual beings and we lost track of that, we are emotional beings, and this anger will burn us up, it will kill us, it will hurt us, it will cause us to become ill.
1:19:13 And so that’s the side I see, I’m like, whoa, the anger and volatility of American culture is, to borrow a Southern California term, gnarly. I remember it’s a gnarly. It’s gnarly. Yeah, and you think it’s because the materialism, I mean, is America more materialistic than other places when it comes to that philosophy? Yes, I think the, well, when I say materialism, a lot of times when I say materialism I’m using it more in the Rudolf Steiner sense of, like, yeah, materialism and like physical things that you want, and like, you know, at this point for me I was like, you know, people giving me gifts, they give me a lot of gifts in London at our event and I can’t have the heart to be like, look, I don’t want it, I don’t want those, I don’t want material things, but they were, you know, so lovely I couldn’t just reject it and it was like, okay, I’ll take the gift, and receiving is good, so I get the materialism side of things, of like material things, you get mansion and yacht and that kind of stuff, but I’m also talking about material causality, right, so life on earth, what caused it?
1:20:07 Well, we have this theory, Big Bang, and next thing you know, like, these planets form, the next thing you know there was, you know, the beginning of basic life and then, you know, over billions of years suddenly we’re here. Is that true? And the answer is can never be proven, and we have evidence that it is true, we have evidence that it’s not true, we have evidence it’s not true, so it’s a theory and it’s going to remain a theory, it can’t be a fact. When you buy into these things that are sold to us as theories as facts you can get into trouble, because if it’s a materialistic thing you might become very, very angry when someone says, hey, you’re a spiritual being, not a physical being, you might become very, very upset when somebody says, hey, this peer-reviewed journal actually published a false study, and you know, I get attacked on this all the time, peer review is the absolute truth, and it’s like, well, you got to show me how these 107 cancer studies that made it through peer review were later pulled because they were fraudulent, you have to explain that one to me.
1:21:09 Yeah, Bruce Lipton will give you a little info about that too. You talked about this anger and this kind of that you feel on social media and in America. Over here in Britain, and I haven’t lived there in so long, we get to watch it and like you said we see this kind of anger, this violence, we see what happened in Las Vegas a few weeks ago and that kind of an event happened, and yet these events happen regularly in American culture, and you know, I, I’m not saying okay, the whole gun violence thing could be a completely different argument, but is it a manifestation of this anger, and where does it go from here in America?
1:21:42 Because I know when I’m in New York City or I’m in Los Angeles sometimes the tension I feel is like no other place in the world, like I don’t feel that in this country. I don’t feel that in this country either. I go to New York sometimes and I’m like, I’m going to cross the street because those guys are scaring me. I go to LA sometimes and I see the police parking their cars on Venice Beach and the people around there and I’m like, man, this feels like something’s about to pop off here and I don’t know why.
1:22:08 Your comments on that and how would you explain that to the rest of the world? I love the civility of British culture and the politeness and that volatility is not present here and it is, and it’s also not present in any audiences here, and so to speak to a British crowd after the intense volatility that I’ve been dealing with. I did an event a couple summers ago, you know, this guy was there trying to heckle me, some other guy’s like, dude, shut up, like, sit down, just relax, and the guy, like, the fight started and the guy beat the other guy up and threw him out, the guy who was heckling me, like, got beat up and thrown out of the event.
1:22:42 You know, I was like, whoa, things are getting heavy over here, whereas in this country you’re not going to see anybody doing that, right? Probably not. Not probably not. What I’m seeing more over there is there’s just, it’s like a, it’s a complete loss of the gentleman’s ethic, of the chivalric ideal, all that’s thrown out the window. You see it on social media, it’s like it’s an all-out attack on you.
1:23:10 If they can’t attack you they’re going to attack your family, they’re going to try to destroy your life because you believe something is different from them or you’re trying to point out that, like, hey, Monsanto did three week studies but we actually need like three year or 15 year studies on this food before we can say it’s safe, three weeks is not long enough. You didn’t read the studies, those 1700 studies that we published. I was like, yeah, I did actually, and it didn’t go longer than three weeks, and it’s just there’s no logic to it, they just, they’re irrationally intense on you because they believe that what’s in those studies is supporting their argument even though they never actually really looked, and I get that a lot where people don’t look.
1:23:54 And when they, when you got an internet you look, you gotta look, right? They just read the headlines and kind of go with it from there. 1994, you said you had this moment of enlightenment, I was wondering if you could tell us about it, and you also quote Jack Kerouac who said in the book On the Road, people who don’t listen to a vision are damn fools, and you said you listened and you’re so glad you did. Can you talk about that, because you just talked about goals and how you manifested this social media thing maybe 10 years, 20 years after it came in your head.
1:24:24 Talk to me about your moment of enlightenment and why a lot of people miss theirs. Great, I mean, I think it does come back to Jack Kerouac’s famous phrase, people who don’t listen to a vision are damn fools. Sometimes something irrational will happen in your life and you will get a message that doesn’t make sense from a rational perspective or materialistic perspective, you know, maybe there are spirit beings that are whispering in your ear or maybe that old tree, you know, really does have a soul and a spirit or an energy that can communicate with you, and I was in my bed in my mom’s house, August 16th, 1994, and I was struck by a vision of what I was to do with my life.
1:25:06 I don’t know how long it lasted, one second, 10 seconds, five minutes, I’m not sure what it was, I fell out of the bed, and when I got up I knew. It all came together, everything aligned, what I was supposed to do with my life, and the very next day it started, it, that’s, I was like, I know what I’m supposed to do with my life and it’s going to start right now. I know what skills I have, I’m a good public speaker, I’m going to start doing public speaking.
1:25:29 Within one week my friends were like, dude, what in the world is going on with you, like what is going on? And so I kind of laid out, you know, what had happened and we know what I’m going to do with my life, and two my cousin and my best friend are like, we’re there, we’re with, we’re with you. And they were with me for, one of my cousin was there for a couple years and my best friend, he was there for 10 years, more, 11 years, we worked together on, you know, fomenting a health revolution in the Western world, and we parted ways because, you know, he got married, had kids and he wanted to raise a big family, he wanted to move out into the woods and by, and back then I was still in San Diego, and then eventually I got to a point of like, okay, I have been, I, you know, you know how business is, sometimes it goes against you, sometimes it goes for you, and that business had gone against me, bad business partners, eventually I had to abandon San Diego, it was kind of a relief.
1:26:20 You know, a friend of mine just lost her home in Santa Rosa and she actually said it’s kind of a relief, just get out of there because it’s just, it’s like that’s it, it’s over, I have to do something else now, and that’s kind of what happened to me, is I lost my business and I was like, okay good, I’m out of here, over, bam, and so then I was able to get out. And that, you know, this is the thing about our lives, is once you find out what you’re gonna do with your life you have something very, very powerful that many people wish they had, and it’s, to me it’s a blessing and a grace, you know, it’s a grace up from on high or, you know, God, nature, creator, spirit, source, whatever, the higher powers that, you know, have influences on this realm, and I’ve always been in appreciation of that and always been a, you know, a, I guess a person who helps people find their life’s mission because I know what it did for me, and so we have to be able to listen to it and not just pawn it off as some weird occurrence or something that doesn’t, it doesn’t jive with our dogma, and just we just actually have to have our ears open for that thing.
1:27:26 It’s a thing. Yeah, if I like getting into it, what is the thing that, you know, you would do no matter what, anyway, for free? What is the thing that time disappears for you? What is the thing that caused you to be so energetic that you do it eight hours, you don’t even realize eight hours has gone by? That’s the thing you need to be doing with your life, and if you can lock that in with your career so that you’re making money doing that so you can function in the world, then you have cracked the biggest code there is.
1:27:54 And that, to me, is by, I mean, I’m blessed the rest of my life, I don’t, you know, it’s like there’s certain things happen in your life and you go, I’m blessed and fulfilled for the rest of my life because of that, that’s one of them, when I found out my life’s mission. It has been a blessing ever since, since 1994. To this point I’ve done 3,000 live events, 3,000 live events, that means for 10 years straight I was doing four or five a week, I didn’t take a weekend off nor watch a movie for 10 years, that’s how hardcore it is.
1:28:27 You know, that’s your mission, that you are that into it, public speaking about health, educating people about superfoods, making food for people, blending up food for people, you know, to the grace of God or, you know, on high or whatever is, you know, whatever forces, the creative force that created us, to get the deal with the NutriBullet and to go out there and do that on television, best thing of all time. Why? Because it connected me back to my original dream when I was a kid, when I was five years old watching the Merv Griffin Show in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, I saw Jack LaLanne, and I knew something there was, I was like, something there, and years later it was like the Juiceman and then I met the Juiceman because he was San Diego, and then his son worked for me and, you know, he recently passed, God bless his soul, a wonderful man, wonderful family, wonderful kids, and I knew it was something like that but I couldn’t quite get it, and then I wrote my journal, I eventually wrote a whole infomercial out about selling a blender on TV 25 years ago, and it happened, and then it happened, it happened.
1:29:47 Wow. Yeah, and so that was a big moment for you because it made you big, it was also a great business that allows you to continue doing whatever you want to spread your message. Yes, exactly, and it also allowed you to help a lot of people with all these new diet choices, it expands the ability to help people so much, and the testimonials that we get at NutriBullet are just mind-boggling, mind-boggling, life transforming, where, you know, people didn’t know they had a choice, they didn’t know what to do, they didn’t know what the first step was.
1:30:18 We found out that people don’t, you know, don’t change their health, don’t transform their lives, don’t change their diet because they don’t know what to do, they don’t know what that first step is, and so we just gave them, we’re like, we got it, the simplest first step, it’s something you can’t screw up, right? Like I know how it is cleaning blenders, I don’t want to clean it down blender, so we just made it like you put, turn the sink on, you put the extractor blade under the sink, the water washes it off, you put it in the drying rack, it’s two seconds, it’s done, right? It was that, was just the best, and that’s why that product has been so successful as opposed to the Vitamix and all that other thing, because it’s so simple, it’s simple and it’s inexpensive, and that was the first day, like when I got together with the old Magic Bullet guys and that’s how we created the mat, the NutriBullet, with the first day when we met, I said, I think was one of the first things on my list, I had seven things that I wanted to make sure that we were, if we’re on the same page we can work together, because all of a sudden, you know, I was thinking, my god, this might be the answer to my dreams, because I’ve been setting goals and I know that when you set goals things will happen that will, you’ll go, that’s maybe that’s the answer, my goal, maybe that’s how I’m getting my goal, and so you got to take action and move that way, and this was one of those meetings, and as soon as I got through those seven things and they matched up I knew it was on, but one of those
1:31:30 Things was it’s got to be under 100 bucks, it’s got to be under 100. Now today, you know, we have different NutriBullets out, bigger ones and stuff like that, but generally it’s about a hundred dollars for the original or less, you know, we’ve even, I’ve even sold it for as low as 59, and, you know, to have that power at that size never was possible before. Okay, you’re very proud of. I’m very proud of that whole project and the whole product and everything about it and the people who work there and the team that’s there, and I’m very proud of Lenny Sands, who’s been one of the principals there, and Colin Sapphire, another principal there, you know, so it’s a family-run business, and by the way I don’t have a contract with them, it’s a handshake, because if we can’t do business on a handshake I don’t want to do business.
1:32:14 It’s a handshake and they trust me, I trust them, they tell me we need you to do this, I do it. The British one, by the way, the British NutriBullet infomercial is my favorite of all time, it’s my favorite day of filming my whole life, and I’ve been filming, you know, little Super 8 camera stuff, you know, since I was seven. Why, why this one? It was one of those days where I think Lenny called me up, he’s like, can you, you know, we got the British crew here, can you do this thing for us?
1:32:38 I was like, oh yeah, of course. So I got there at seven in the morning and we just started into it, I had a really good synergy with that gal, you know, the British gal, and we were just rocking it back and forth all day long, all day long, all day long, and just it was really good vibes and I was just kept drinking more and more NutriBullets, I drank six beets, like beetroots, six entire beetroots in one day. So all of a sudden it’s 13 hours later, the whole crew, they’re all going home, right, and even that galaxy of the British gal, she had to go home, you know, because she’d done all her parts, and it’s just me and the producer, the film, John, and he’s like, dude, we still got to do more, and it was just the two of us because everybody had to go home or we’re going to be paying them overtime, all that, and all of a sudden he’s like, you got to do this last piece for us, and I was like, okay.
1:33:23 And it was like five paragraphs of stuff, 13 hours later after all of that, and I was like, dude, come on, this is crazy, man, I got to now nail this and do it like naturally in front of the camera and not, I’m not going to read from the prompter because it’s not going to be natural. Right, so I was like, oh man, so I was like, okay, I went back to the Scott Bornstein stuff that I learned in Super Camp, you know, the memes where you attach. He was there, he was there, he was there, we learned from him, and I went back to that, he taught us all those years ago at Super Camp, do you remember?
1:34:00 You attach a picture to the word. Yeah, and you associate it with, you associate an image or even a little video in your head to that word, right, and so there was five paragraphs, so I was like, okay, that paragraph is basically, it’s that word that I need to remember that covers that concept in that paragraph, and that one and that one, and I went back to the old Super Camp stuff from 1984, and I was like, John, I’m ready, let’s do this, and boom, he’s like, okay, take it away, and I nailed that on the first take. I walked right up to him, I’m like, boom, high five, he’s like, dude, that was the best ever, I was like, yep, that was the best day ever, and that was my favorite day of all time of filming, and it’s the British infomercial.
1:34:39 That’s awesome. It’s super cool, dude, that’s crazy. Super, you know, you mentioned handshake deal, you know, you know, I’ve got, I’ve got Shep Gordon coming on here soon, he’s the longtime agent of Alice Cooper, same thing, they’ve been doing business for like 40, 50 years, no contract ever. Is that how you like to do business, and how do you do business for anybody who wants to know or advice to them, because you’ve spoken about this before, that you would make a lot of the same decisions that you would have made whether it was good business or not, you just do more of what you think is right or what you want to do anyways.
1:35:11 Great, okay, the way I do business is it’s, it’s basically I like doing business with people that I innately trust with my life, that I know they’ve got my back. You know, one of my business partners and we’ve run a superfood company for years, but I’m not the legal owner, I have no legal anything at all, I have nothing legal on paper because I can’t have anything legal on paper because I’m a moving target, right, so I don’t, people want to sue me, I don’t have nothing, I’m a pop around paper, I got nothing, and that’s great, so I have to trust people like NutriBullet and, like, you know, my friends at Longevity Warehouse and, you know, the different businesses that I work with and have developed over the years, even the Fruit Tree Planting Foundation, I’m not an owner of any of that, I just, I’m, yeah, I’m an advisor, I’m on the board, I’m, you know, one of the main principals there, but there’s no ownership, I don’t own any of them, anything.
1:36:03 That’s the best thing ever, it’s great, and so that means I have to trust, and that’s great too, it’s great to just being like, you know, like my friend who lost her home, she’s got nothing but she’s got everything because ultimately you ain’t leaving this earth with nothing, and it just, that was a reality check for her, it’s like, I’m not leaving with anything anyway, so boom, you know, and it’s like I’m not leaving this earth with my business, I’m not leaving the earth with all these assets, I’m like, so yeah, sometimes they tell you down, right? Yeah, sometimes a business can keep you doing the same. Yeah, it can completely choke you into that and, you know, you don’t, with stuff you don’t want to do.
1:36:40 So that’s one thing about business I’d say is, it’s you got to be doing business with people you trust implicitly with your life. I would also say this, I would say that make sure that you know your, whatever business deal you’re doing, it should be able to fit on one sheet of paper, so that you have bullet points so expectations are met, because that’s another thing is that, yeah, it’s good to have a contract in a certain way because you’re meeting expectations. Now I’ve worked with NutriBullet so long, I, they know what to expect from me, I know what to expect from them, it’s just we know what to do.
1:37:10 In the beginning of a relationship you’re like, well, I’m just starting out, I don’t have friends I trust with my life, get a piece of paper out, make sure it’s the expectations are met. You don’t need a 15, 30 page contract or whatever, right, sometimes that could hurt the relationship because on page 22 you said, oh, this was here, they didn’t know it was there, and so then you get some bad vibes, so keep it on one paper, bullet points, so everyone knows what’s going on. And then I’m developing a business relationship right now and so what we’re doing is we’re like, hey, let’s just work, actually a couple business relationships like this, let’s just work together on this project, let’s just like do three months and just see where we are in three months, and then once we get to three months, let’s see, we’ll bullet point things, we’ll put a deal together so we know what our expectations are of each other, you got this, I got that, that kind of thing.
1:37:51 That is really helpful, is to just trial run it. This is, I’d say, very important information for relationships. I found that people who jumped into a relationship too quickly, it didn’t work out most of the time, it does sometimes but most of the time it doesn’t work out, but if you trial run it, you’re like, hey, let’s date for a while, you know, let’s go through these different steps, and that’s why we have dating, that’s why we have these different steps before you, you know, you tie the knot, because you want to suss it out, and so I’d say doing these trial runs is very helpful in business and to see who you want to work with and how you can work with people.
1:38:23 On the internet allows us a lot easier than before because we can work with, I work with people all over the world, all, every day, it’s just fantastic, and I can go, okay, this group is over here, wants to work with me, great, we’ll work with them, we’ll do a trial run, we’ll have some fun and we’ll see if that makes sense to us three months down the road, and then, you know, let’s say they suddenly said we’re not paying you, then I’d be like, okay, then I’m probably not gonna work with you again, right? But it just, it, you know, people are, most people in business, there are definitely sharks out there, there are definitely people who are sociopaths and psychopaths, but most people just want to have an honest pay for an honest day’s work. Yeah, yeah, great advice.
1:38:58 And I just want to highlight that all of this success that you’ve had, whatever that word means, started with you listening to that thought and taking action on it in 1994, August 16th, next it took you writing those goals down and staying true to those and taking action on them, again this isn’t like the movie The Secret, it doesn’t just come to you, you’re very methodical about that, and then on top of that you obviously put in lots of work, sacrifice, time. Yes. 3, 000 live appearances, you know, not sleeping, all these other things, so it’s a combination of these things.
1:39:30 It is a combination of those things. Yeah, it, you know, okay, so here’s, here’s the, here’s success right here: success is persistence, it’s Og Mandino. I will persist until I succeed. I will never consider defeat. I will remove from my vocabulary such words as quit, cannot, unable, impossible, hopeless and retreat, for those are the words of fools.
1:39:53 I will persist until I succeed. Og Mandino, I memorize that stuff, I live by that stuff. I will persist. You come at me with thousands of trolls, I will persist and defeat you, I will defeat you by persistence, you will never be able to out persist me, it is impossible because I will, I’m fanatical, people don’t realize that, I will go, I can go all day and all night. I’m healthier than you, I will, I will actually out distance you just on energy.
1:40:22 Right, it’s that, there’s no, so I, it doesn’t matter what gets thrown at me, it doesn’t matter, I had a Twitter attack that were literally I was blocking three people a minute, minute, so while we’re doing this I got people, so what they do is like in Twitter they’ll clog up your feed with, they’ll just, they’ll hack you, you know, they’re basically, they’re going to clog up, they’ll attack you, you’re an idiot, I’ll kill you, whatever it is, and all of a sudden it’ll be 500 messages and so you have to block them out, block them out, block them out, block them out, block them out, and that went on for three days at that level, all day and all night, all day and all night, and eventually they just faded, eventually you just block, block, block, block, block, and eventually there’s just, they can’t muster enough energy to keep going, but I’ll keep going and I’m doing that while doing everything else, right, so that’s another thing too, and I think that’s one, another really powerful tool for all entrepreneurs, and it is you have to be able to multitask.
1:41:25 And just fortunately I just have a brain, I’m a good multitasker, I just have, and I think that’s why I’m a good entrepreneur, hopefully I’m a good entrepreneur, but it’s what you’ve got to multitask and, you know, running this business or wanting this, all you have to wear a lot of hats, there’s a lot of things you’ve got to do and you got to be good at it, you got to trust your instincts. I’ve found that a lot of trolls on the internet, they’re not business owners, they’re not, they, they’re, they haven’t created anything, so they haven’t run on their instincts, so they believe that everything has to be scientifically delineated in this order, and it’s like, no, you know, and so entrepreneurship does teach you instincts, gut, you know, go with the flow, you know, trust yourself, that kind of stuff, good skills.
1:42:04 Where does this fire come from, mom? Right, yeah, where’s the fire coming from? Yeah, where does this come from, mom, dad, was it always, you were, you the kid that always? I was, I was definitely always like this. My aunt told me that when I was one years old my mom was really harping on me and we were at a, like a grocery store or something and she got out to go around to get me out of the car and I like opened the car door and like fell out of the car and then went under the middle of the car in the parking lot while we were parked, not while I was moving, and I got to the point of the middle of the car where she couldn’t reach under the car and get to me.
1:42:39 That was like one year old, so my aunt knew at that point, she’s like, this kid is gonna, this kid’s got fire or something. It’s astrological too because I’m a Leo, so August Leo, moon is in Libra, so that’s the balanced thinking, you know, so not, don’t get too far this way or too far that way, try to stay in between. So I think part of it’s astrological and I think part of it is just the amazing people that I’ve met. I think of my friend Doug Evans, you know, we call him the Raw CEO, an amazing guy, he just went through a difficult time, he just did an 11 day fast as a response, and just the things, you know, he taught me over the years of like persistence, you know, the power of like, you know, if you keep pouring it on, nothing can, there’s no, nothing can stand in your way, and he’s a New York City street kid who made it all the way, you know, you from, he was a, he was a graffiti artist on the street, you know, made it all the way to, you know, he’s raised hundreds of millions of dollars for companies, done enormously powerful stuff in the tech industry and worked with Steve Jobs and Paul Rand, and or was it Paul Ritz, the guy who made the IBM logo and the Apple logo, was his name Rand?
1:43:45 Okay, yeah, anyway, so just good teachers. Okay, and this comes from New York City a little bit too, it’s a little bit New York City. Yeah, this wouldn’t have happened in only San Diego growing up. Probably not, no. Okay, so it’s a little bit New York City.
1:43:58 Thank you, Brooklyn. Yeah, let me ask you about one of your fellow Hawaiian natives, although he’s no longer with us, Mr. Terence McKenna, who used to grow all sorts of things in Hawaii from what I’ve heard. I’m a big fan of those all lost audio tapes, this thing called the Psychedelic Salon run by a guy who just, I don’t know, he just never has a never-ending supply, and if people don’t know you should really listen to these tapes because there’s just so much knowledge in them and I don’t know if they’ll ever be anyone like Terence.
1:44:27 I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know his brother, Dennis, and at first I thought Dennis was just the brother of Terence but now I’ve realized that Dennis is a very impressive scientist and man himself, and we filmed a walking conversation through Hampstead Heath, we talked about plant intelligence, they’ll come back later, but Terence talked a lot about plant medicines. Yes, I want to know what your take is on plant medicines. Funny enough, six years ago on our fifth episode of London Real we actually had an ayahuasca ceremony and did it before and after when people told us, don’t put that on YouTube, you’re gonna get in trouble.
1:45:00 I pretty much had kissed going back to the banking after that because I thought the Bank of England would not appreciate that, right, you know, big surprise, nothing, nothing big happened, but we were really open about it and we talked about it and it’s kind of been part of London Real, and we’ve had guests on, we featured Professor David Nutt, who’s doing the groundbreaking research here at Imperial College when it comes to psilocybin studies, and Amanda Feilding, who funds those studies and a lot of these things, but I wanted to get your take. I know you spent some time in Peru but I don’t know if it’s related, what is your take on plant medicines and all that stuff? Great, okay, well, psychoactive plant medicines, peyote, San Pedro, ayahuasca, cannabis, tobacco, the whole, the whole list.
1:45:37 I listened to Terence McKenna all those years ago and he said you got to grow them in order to know, you gotta, you have to grow these things. My take on plant medicines is they’re not for everybody, that’s number one, right? You know, if it’s for you or if it’s not, you know, if it’s a one-time thing or not, right, it might be for you for one time and then that’s good and that’s what you need at that time and that’s the message that you get. It’s got to be the right set and setting, as what was his name, Timothy Leary?
1:46:05 Yeah, correct. And then the original crew back then, as they said, the right set and setting, that’s something they worked out from their psychedelic experiences. Typically in Western culture we arrive at everything ass backwards, and I don’t like to use swear words but that one really, we arrive at everything ass backwards, which is we got into synthetics or semi-synthetics like LSD, is a semi-synthetic, it’s made out of ergot or can be made out of baby Hawaiian woodrose, but it’s not a completely random molecule they just pulled from somewhere like, okay, tweak this and here you go.
1:46:36 It’s made out of a European witch herb, a witching herb called ergot, or it’s a type of rust, it’s a fungal infection of wheat, and so it’s a mushroom, so LSD is a mushroom extract, but we do everything backwards, so instead of us going to like the magic mushroom or the whole plant, the ayahuasca or something, in the 50s and 60s we, it started with Jack Kerouac and that crew and the, what were those guys called, the bub, the bus guys, the. Yeah, and with the bus. Yeah, further.
1:47:08 But I’m saying they were the, they weren’t hippies, they were beatniks. The beatniks, yeah. So it started with the beatniks and they were taking all kinds of like, what are those drugs that they took, they’re pharmaceutical drugs to get high and to, you know, stimulants and all this stuff, and it’s like, okay, we, it’s backwards, so they did all that stuff and then eventually got into LSD and then eventually the magic mushrooms, then eventually we got to the ayahuasca, and we did it backwards, we should have started with the natural plant stuff and then as we got more understanding and pharmacological understanding then went, oh okay, this is how this works, this is how this works, so this pharmaceutical is doing this and that, right, it’s all backwards, and that’s why we got into a lot of trouble because we didn’t have the shamans, we didn’t have the setting, we didn’t have the appropriate cultural context, people are taking all kinds of drugs and not knowing what the heck’s happening and we’re not necessarily the best nourished nor the best neurological health and people, you know, jump out of buildings, it’s this, that, you know, all that, all those stories that we heard, that’s first.
1:48:08 Okay, second, what do I think about these things? I am a deep investigator of these mysteries because it is a mystery and I am not put off, scientism, you can’t study that, that’s not acceptable, it’s just causing you to hallucinate. No, it’s not causing me to hallucinate, it’s causing me to connect with certain energies that are consistent amongst many people all over the world, like ayahuasca, you’re going to have an encounter with a snake, you’re going to have an encounter with a jaguar, you’re going to have encounter with tribal people, you’re going to have certain encounters that are consistent amongst everybody who takes that medicine, so that tells me it’s something intrinsic to the medicine and not a hallucination that I’m creating, right?
1:48:50 So I then I had to get through all that programming and that’s, you know, and that means I had to be able to go, oh, I’m going to investigate these things myself. So magic mushrooms, cannabis, ayahuasca, San Pedro, peyote, pretty much all of them, right, I’m not, none of them are taboo to me as long as it’s got the right set and setting and I’ve got the right information, I’m willing to try all of those things. Iboga, and I have tried all those things and I’m very happy and glad that I did and I learned a lot.
1:49:22 Do I need to be doing those things every day? Absolutely not. Will I do ayahuasca once a year? Yeah, I’ll do it once a year, I check in with her, and my relationship with ayahuasca is a really good one, and I’ve had so much experience with growing the plants and being around the plants and understanding it from that level, just as Terence had inspired me to do that, you know, once a year it’s like, okay, you know, I’ll check in, and with ayahuasca it’s like a love affair, it’s like a lover actually, where, you know, she’s like, she’s really happy with me and what I do for her and just what I do in the world, and so it’s a love, and it’s a, it’s a relationship and it’s an intelligence, and so I’m not con, I’m not into the scientist, whether we’re an accident, there’s no other intelligence, the ayahuasca is an intelligence, absolutely.
1:50:03 Cannabis is an intelligence, absolutely. Tobacco is an intelligence, absolutely. Out of all things, ayahuasca told me in 2002, 2003 to get into growing tobacco and to overthrow this whole tobacco debacle, right, which is that, you know, tobacco’s like the worst thing ever, causes cancer, lung cancer, all that kind of thing. Dig in a little deeper and investigate, you’ll find out that’s not true. You’ll find out that chemical tobacco causes cancer, which of course you’ve got nicotine, it’s a chemical dilator, it’s going to expand all your tissues, it’s going to expand the brain tissue, then you’ve got the 4,000 chemicals coming in on the nicotine train, that is the most dangerous thing of all time.
1:50:39 You’re, that’s a very dangerous combination, to be chemicalizing tobacco with burn agents, for example like potassium nitrate, you know, you’re using burn agents, so that cigarette in the 60s burned down in 12 minutes, then it was suddenly nine minutes in the 70s, now it’s 90 seconds because the burn, that’s just the burn agents. Wow. You know, it just goes on and on about that, doesn’t, I’m not even talking about the radioactive, you know, material that can get in the tobacco leaf, because tobacco pulls everything, it’s the king, it wants it all, so if you take tobacco and you grow it in granitic soils for example, it can pull in radioactive material that’s in granitic soils because it comes into the leaf and that’s that, you know, it’s all, it goes, it’s deep, it’s a big story.
1:51:20 So I had to overcome all the tobacco programming and get into, like, okay, I’m going to try growing tobacco now. I consider myself one of the best tobacco growers in the world because, and I grow every kind of tobacco, every all, it’s all the Nicotianas, the flowering Nicotianas to me, you know, I’m, I love flowers and I love tobaccos and there are flowering Nicotianas of great variety and beauty and wonder, and I grew those this summer, at the best I’ve ever done, that was amazing. Do you consume them too or just grow them, away most?
1:51:50 Yeah, I give it away a lot, I mean with the flowering tobaccos it’s, you know, I’ve, it’s not really a smokeable or consumable or hapé type of thing. The best way in my opinion to consume tobacco is hapé, which is you powder it and then boom, up the nose, you know, the Amazonian way, or boom, it goes in, so you’re not smoking it, so it’s just, that’s the raw way. Okay, so that’s a beautiful thing and that’s what I learned from Amazonian shamans and being in the Amazon and learning their medicine systems is just, it’s beyond amazing, we are so lucky, and so I took those limitations and parameters off and dug in deep and I’m hardcore.
1:52:26 You asked me if you want to get into like the chemistry of San Pedro cactus and the chemistry of the alkaloids of San Pedro cactus and who figured out what, and I know that stuff, that I’ve been studying this stuff for years, I love that stuff, I’ve been growing San Pedro cactus for probably since 1999. So all that time you find, you’re like, oh okay, I found out something. I had a San Pedro cactus that, so I was planning San Pedro, San Pedro’s protector of your home.
1:52:54 Okay, so you have them around your home, right? And by the way, I do now, I do, I have come to the position that having the plants around you and growing them is as good as taking them. Hmm, can you explain that? It’s an energetic thing and you feel it, and so I don’t feel like when you take it into your body it’s very overt and intensely material and it’s an intense experience and it’s great and you learn something from that, but can you do that every day?
1:53:22 No. So having it around, there’s an energetic transmission that teaches me something that I get it without having to ingest it, I have learned that that’s true. Okay, so even growing the tobacco can get. Yes, oh yeah, even touching it. Touching it, for sure.
1:53:38 Yeah, and is that why you were in Peru, because you were growing a lot of those things or was Peru just a place you were attracted to? Well, I’m attracted to Peru and I love Peru and I love the botanical history of South America, I’m very deeply into that, that’s like one of my favorite hobbies of all time, and therefore I go there to learn about, okay, what do you know about San Pedro cactus, how they do San Pedro cactus in the jungle, cucho, teach me how you’re doing it, because San Pedro cactus will not ferment, it kills all bacteria, so you have to get, you have to do something as a starter to get the bacteria going and then you put the San Pedro and you create a fermented San Pedro drink. I mean, I, that’s like I do that stuff in my sleep, that’s just love for me, so that’s why I keep going to Peru, because I like to learn from these shamans and these gardeners essentially and basically, you know, people who have understood the plant from the soil all the way up, it’s amazing.
1:54:29 Being around these plants, having the San Pedro cactus protector of the home, and by the way I was going to tell you a story about that, I was doing that at a friend’s mind’s house, I was planting San Pedros around his house just as a protection for his home and I had some real sharp ones, he has a young child, so I was like, oh I can’t, you know, I can have these around the house, I just put them in a box and I put them on a shelf up on the top of a cabinet for two years, no light, no food, no water, dry, in a house. One day I’m looking at that box at his house, I’m like, I look at that box out, I open the box up and they’re still alive and growing, no light, no water, no moisture of any kind in a box. That blew my mind.
1:55:21 What does that tell you? It tells me that these plants are transducing an energy from another source. It tells me that the active ingredients like hordenine and mescaline that are present in San Pedro cactus, they’re actually transducers of energy from another dimension, and so if you ate San Pedro cactus you could have huge amounts of energy and, you know, that goes on for 36 hours, like we do in the Andes, we’re doing the Incan trail, you know, we’re, you know, hiking, hiking, hiking, the San Pedro comes back down the thing, you know, the coconut water comes back down the thing, the tobacco comes back down the thing, down the line, right, you know, trekking through the jungle, it’s like 30 of us in a row and it’s just fun, it’s so fun to be in that, but, you know, you’re like, it’ll power you up but then, you know, it’s no hangover afterwards.
1:56:05 Where’d the energy come from? I’ll take where it came from, that entered that molecule is transducing it from another dimension, that’s the best theory we got and I can go into that in depth with what’s going on with LSD, how, where, how that’s happening, at ergotamine, what that means, what’s happening with tryptamines, you know, what’s going on with psilocybin, silicon, how that’s transducing energy from another dimension, it can keep those things going and alive without any normal nutrients or the normal things they need. It goes on and on like that, I just, those things, uncoding medicinal systems and shamanic systems is an absolute passion for me, it’s an absolute, it’s a, it’s a directive, you know, I don’t even have a choice about it, it’s like not growing tobacco doesn’t make any sense to me, it’s like I have tobacco’s all over my yard everywhere, you know, it’s like, and by the way that’s a great thing to grow because the animals don’t eat it, they don’t want it, it’s poisonous.
1:56:57 And also the plant medicines give you similar messages if you do take them, if you do ingest them, they show you different concepts of reality. Yes, they do. Yeah, they open your mind, blatantly show you that everything that we perceive as reality is hardly that, so that probably also helps in coming to some of those conclusions. I love what Terence said all those years ago and he said that it, we have, as to function as civilization we have to have self-imposed parameters and, like, okay, we’re going to believe this, we’re not going to believe that, we’re going to do this, we’re not going to do that, you know, this, it’s all self-imposed, it’s all made up, and psychoactive plants tell you that, they show you it and they lift those parameters up, it’s like, and you go, oh, oh, we’re the, theory of evolution is not a fact, it’s a theory, whatever it is, you know, you just go, you, it just shows you that these things you think are facts and hard facts, theoretical.
1:57:49 I saw Dennis speak in Reykjavik a few months ago. Okay, yeah, yeah, and what he said was amazing, at the end of it he said ayahuasca always tells him, you don’t know nothing. You don’t know nothing, what a great message to everybody who is subjected to a scientism program, you don’t know nothing, it’s all theoretical. My friend Charles Eisenstein wrote Sacred Commerce, he said to me, he’s like, oh, you mean the people who believe in facts, that’s how you describe scientism people?
1:58:16 He’s like, oh, the people who believe in facts. I was like, oh yeah, them. I believe in probabilities personally, but, you know, yeah. I had Charles here about five years ago actually, I had a great chat with him, so, and also it removes language, which by doing that also removes a lot of these things that we associate with these facts and theories, and when you take that out of the equation it’s amazing the kind of truths that you can learn, you know, without having this medium to communicate through.
1:58:42 So well said. Yeah, can you learn something from a plant is what you’re suggesting? And I suspect you can, absolutely. I’ve learned lots from gardening. Well, could I learn something if I, you know, sat with my friends in a sacred circle at the Native American Church and ate the peyote?
1:59:00 You better believe it, and I have learned a lot doing that, exactly that, and they’re good lessons, and that’s what I love about the Native Americans too. I really love the Native Americans. It, you know, this is the thing about American culture that really disturbs me, it’s like we have Mexican rights, we have black rights, what about the Native Americans? How they’ve been marginalized, and so my position is and always has been, we stand with the Native Americans to the end.
1:59:29 I get along with them so well, it’s amazing, it’s telepathic. We went down into Havasupai Canyon, which is, and there’s a Native American tribe down there, we’ve been going there 20 years. We come down there, no one knows we’re coming, we’re, you know, except for Toby Hooper, staying at his place, native guy who lives there and he doesn’t, it’s not like he’s telling anybody, and so we go down there and we’re marching down the road and, you know, with our backpacks on, eight mile hike in there from the tip of the Grand Canyon, this is in the Grand Canyon.
1:59:54 Wow. And we get down there and all of a sudden the guy who used to be the chief of the tribe, we’re walking by his house, I didn’t know it was his house, and he comes out and he was like, he’s like, hey, and he just, obviously there we are, like he just spotted us, like he just walked, he just, his instinct told him, his telepathic powers telling me like we’re coming, and he’s like, hey, and I was like, hey, what’s going on? His name was Roland, and I was like, what’s up, Roland, it’s Dave Wolf, Fruit Tree Planting Foundation, and he’s like, oh yeah, okay, hey, you guys want to sweat?
2:00:25 The whole time we went down we’re like, we gotta come up, we gotta do a sweat lodge with these guys, it’s so powerful, so amazing. The whole walk for eight miles we’re talking about it, as soon as we get there the chief, the old chief of the tribe comes back, you guys want to sweat? I’m like, yeah, he’s like, how about tomorrow? I’m like, yeah, noon tomorrow, it’s on, and then noon rolls around the next day so we get the sweat set up and this is the real and nippy, the real sweat lodge that’s been going there for a thousand years.
2:00:52 What does that look like, what’s that experience like? It’s be, it’s, to me it’s the best thing ever of all time, I, that’s as good as it gets, to be with the Native Americans in the Grand Canyon with the sacred waters in their traditional sweat lodge, doing their traditional sweat the way that they do it, it can’t be beat. Sex can’t beat it, nothing, it’s the best spiritual experience there is, it’s earth, air, fire and water, it’s in the traditional and original way with the original peoples.
2:01:18 It’s, you know, like one of the guys we call him Bob Hope, he’s one of the native guys down there, he goes, we’re in the middle of sweat, it’s like, you know, we’re five hours into it and all, you know, and we’re, you know, we’re just in the middle, you know, you can’t see anybody, you don’t know, you don’t know what’s completely black in there, it’s in the earth, they sweat in a hole in the earth, once that door is closed and, you know, they throw the blankets over that door, you don’t know where you are, you know, what’s going on, you’re in the middle of it and you don’t know how long you’re going to be in there, it might be an hour, might be five minutes, maybe two hours, and so you’re just in there just meditating and praying, and this guy Bob Hope.
2:01:49 Is it painful, uncomfortable, and you just have to be with that, you have to be with it? Yeah, exactly, you have to be with the uncertainty. Yep. You don’t know if that door is going to open in a minute, you don’t know, it’s going to open in 45 minutes, and so you just go in there, my mentality for sweating is always, I’m going to be in here forever, this is the end, we’re going all the way, I’ll go for five days, whatever it is, then once you’re in that mentality then you can really actually get into a deeper meditation inside yourself.
2:02:14 So we’re way in it, it’s been going for hours, five hours, chanting going on, sometimes, sometimes a lot of quiet though because this is a, this is a native lodge and, you know, they’ll do their songs and stuff but then we’ll, we might sit for hours with no communication, anything, and this, and this is the best thing ever. All of a sudden he goes, in the middle, this whole sweat, he goes, this is the first hospital, and we’re like, dude, whoa, that was deep, bro, you know, like in my mind I’m thinking that’s deep, this is the first hospital, think about it, like a sweat lodge for native people, that’s where the community comes together and disc, passes the peace pipe around inside the sweat lodge, discusses the problems of the tribe, what’s going on, the kids are there, we had a kid that sweated with us the whole time, right, you know, it doesn’t matter if you’re five years old or seven or eight or twenty-eight or eighty, everybody’s there together, all the problems are discussed, and basically what’s causing hospitals and all this disease and illness, it’s emotional chaos, it’s spiritual chaos, it’s mental turmoil.
2:03:19 And yeah, it could be also food and dietary chaos. Definitely, it’s all of that, and so that’s all worked out in the sweat lodge, it’s the first hospital. That was the best ever, you know, I came out of that, my cousin was with me and he’s like, dude, how was that? I was like, dude, that’s as good as it gets, that was as good, that’s the best thing of all time that happened actually, that sweat lodge was a year ago Saturday, a couple days ago it was a year ago.
2:03:47 You want to go back at some point? Yeah, I’ll always go back. You will go back? Yeah. That’s incredible.
2:03:51 Iboga, you mentioned it, thoughts on it? It’s pretty intense. Iboga is this probably the strongest, unless you get to the tropane alkaloid plants like belladonna, henbane, mandrake root, tohei, Brugmansias, those groups, which are the psychedelic compound, scopolamine is actually also toxic and dangerously toxic, could kill you, so other than that, in terms of strength, iboga is probably the strongest one out there, definitely the best thing out there to heal people of addictions, all kinds of addictions, alcohol addictions, drug addictions, food addictions, iboga’s the one.
2:04:27 How was your experience? It went for 24 hours, I did it once, and I loved it, I love iboga, I wish, I’ve been trying to grow it, I’ve had seeds and just couldn’t sprout them, and eventually I grow a relative of iboga, werewolf root or dogbane that we grow in Canada, and that’s a Saturnian plant, you know, we say that these like, like iboga, that family is, it’s ruled by Saturn, so the, if now what does that mean? It means that there’s a certain characteristic in the plant, it’s called the stipule, and the stipule is what happens, like if you have a, the trunk going up like this and there’s like a branching happening here and then a branching happening here, in that armpit, right, in there there’s different things that form in there, sometimes this new leaf will come out of there, sometimes there’s a little gland there, sometimes there’s thorns there, depending on what’s there, that’s the planetary influence.
2:05:20 So the Saturnian plants, you know, tobacco’s usually ruled by Mars but certain tobaccos are ruled by Saturn, they take on a different thing and have a different stipule, and you know that’s one of the things about iboga, it’s got a different, it’s got a Saturnian stipule so that tells you it’s like, oh, this one’s deep, this one goes deep all the way, and that’s true of, you know, werewolf root, where I’m at, which is the iboga relative, it’s in the same family. That and by the way, we’re going to get into families here, check this out, learning, you know, in botany I’m also, I’m an educator, so I like to give people right up to speed in botany so they don’t have to do what I had to do, was learn all this BS and then unlearn it. With werewolf root what they would, it’s a root that goes down and it goes like that, so they use the root, same as the iboga, it’s in the iboga family, the, that was used when somebody didn’t know what they were going to do with their life, they didn’t have a mission in their life, and so native people would be like, this kid is like already 28 and doesn’t know what they’re doing, is just an annoyance, and like we got to get them on, you know, on task here.
2:06:19 What do you do? You make a decoction, you basically steep that in hot water, boil it up, and then they drink it and they go through one of the most nauseating, probably the most difficult thing ever possible, to the point, brings them to the absolute brink of the point where they can’t stand it, where they know for sure they’re gonna die, they’re at their wit’s end, and then all of a sudden they break through, they realize what they’re gonna do with their life and then it all goes away. That’s werewolf root, that’s how it was used.
2:06:48 Iboga is like that, it pushes you all the way through all your BS, all the addictions, all the everything, you’re like, I’ll do anything just to let all that go and just stop, and then finally you, it all, it’s all out of you, boom, you’re healed of your addiction. Now that brought up a little idea about botany and plants, there’s actually only really 350 plants in the world, which means there’s 350 plant families and they have like the goji berry family, the goji berry family, anywhere in the world where I am I see the goji berry family and I know how it is, I know its characteristics. I know its personality.
2:07:19 Once you know the personality of the carrot family, you understand ginseng, you understand poisonous hemlock, you understand lovage, you understand celery, you understand parsley, because they’re all in the same family. That family can be food, it can be super toxic, it can be abortive, it can be, it can be, you know, a thousand-year-old ginseng, it can live on and on and on and become an immortal. Once you know the family and understand its personality, its personality takes a different form and is therefore this species over here and therefore this species over there, but they’re really the same family, so they’re really the same plant, they’ve just been living over there for whatever, thousand years, ten thousand years, whatever it is, and they became a little bit different because the personality has to be different there because the geological influence and the astral influence there is different than over there.
2:08:06 Okay, you see how that can suddenly simplify? So suddenly I can go, so I could teach you about ginseng just very quickly, a carrot family, like carrot seeds, abortive, you don’t eat carrot seeds, but let’s say you didn’t have abortion pills back in the day, well now we know something, don’t we? We’re like, wait, hold on, I could do carrot seed, what are you talking about? And then let’s say, you know, Socrates, what killed him? Hemlock.
2:08:30 Hemlock root, what’s that? It’s a relative of carrots, looks like carrot, and that’s the range, so if I’m foraging and I see that family and I see its umbrals, which is its flowering system, and I see its stocking system, I know, I’m like, oh that’s, I know that is, right, that’s carrot family, then I know already that, like, hey, if I can’t positively ID it I’m not going to ID it, I’m not going to eat it because it could be poisonous and very dangerous and toxic, whereas, you know, a family like the goji berry family, I can eat the leaves, I can eat the roots, I can eat the fruits, I can eat the flowers, I’m not worried about that family at all, that’s food, I can survive on that. Those kind of things are really interesting because that allows you to take this all this world of all these great things and just simplify it so it’s more useful to you.
2:09:18 That’s what knowledge is. Are people going to be surprised that you’re this knowledgeable about all these things and plant medicines you don’t speak about that that often, right? I never talk about it and yet you know all of this about it. Yeah, yeah, I mean I’m hardcore, I read all Jonathan Ott’s books, I read all McKenna’s books, I read Rätsch’s book, you know, the psychology, the Encyclopedia of Psychoactive Plants, I went through all of Albert Hofmann’s stuff, I’ve got a signed copy of LSD: My Problem Child by Albert Hofmann and Jonathan Ott, which is my most prized book actually because it’s worth the most, and I can’t get another signature from Albert Hofmann, and you know all that, all those things is like, you know, I’ve got all the books on, you know, the history of South American shamanism, the history of South American tobacco, the, these Smoking Gods, what a book that is, the Smoking Gods, a big tome, voluminous tome, you open up all the Mayan history of, you know, smoking as is, you know, what they smoked and how they did it and the pipes and how they created them and just amazing ethnobotanical information, Richard Evans Schultes’s information and all of that stuff is just read over and over and over and over and over again.
2:10:28 Wow. And I agree with what you say about the plant medicines, for me it took me 18 months from when I first heard about ayahuasca to actually have a ceremony and I was learning and researching and questioning and this and this and that and I was drawn to it, and unfortunately sometimes when you first take it then you come back and you say everybody should take it, you can get on a little bit of a fanaticism on that, right? Yeah, and I’ve been there too, and then I’ve kind of relaxed and I just say to most people, if you’re drawn to it then that tells you that’s it, and if you’re not that tells you something too.
2:10:57 And I would also agree with what you say, as Terence would say, extreme doses very infrequently, and I would say that’s a great policy as well. So when I hear of people that, you know, are drinking ayahuasca every other week, I always say, why? Good question, me too, I don’t have enough time to be doing that. And again it’s energetic, having the plants around and, you know, the chikrona, a chakruna, chikrona, you know, that’s the ayahuasca leaf, right, that’s the one that has the tryptamines in it and it’s in the coffee family, just having it around, growing on the side of the house, being around it, walking around it, you know, you get it, so I don’t need to be, I’m too busy, I can’t be all taking the night off because I’m, we’re drinking ayahuasca tonight, don’t have the time, and I know a lot of business people don’t have the time, I know a lot of moms don’t have the time.
2:11:44 So it is great though in a good dose, you know, in that moment when you know it’s like everything lines up to do it, great experience if it calls you. Yeah, if it doesn’t call you, don’t do it. Right, great advice, and I’m sure it’s interesting to hear the Mother Ayahuasca and you have this almost romantic relationship, and based on all your work I guess that makes a lot of sense, and it’s a really fascinating entity, she always takes me to the goddamn woodshed and it’s just like, come here, we gotta talk, and you know, she just, she just tells me, she gives me a dressing down and says, Brian, come on, you know what you gotta do, so get back there and do it, and that’s what happens with me.
2:12:19 Nice, that’s great. Yeah, great, I need to go see her again, now I’m due. So, but yeah, it’s great if it’s calling you and that’s a perfect example of that. Let me ask you about the word success. Who comes to mind when you hear that word?
2:12:34 What are people, historic figures, living today or is there anybody that you equate with that word and what does that mean to you? That’s great, the first person that comes to mind when I think of that word is the first, you know, real icon of success that I came into contact with, which is Tony Robbins, and having known Tony since 1984 and seen what he’s done with his life, he represents possibility, he represents an amazing possibility of what you can do because he didn’t have the money, he didn’t have the background, he didn’t have the family, he had the one bedroom apartment, you know, with one room apartment, with his story he tells. Yeah, and the Volkswagen Bug that broke down and, you know, and all the disempowering belief systems and it’s like, if he can do it I can do it, if he can do it you can do it, and so I think about him a lot and I appreciate Tony, we’re still friends all these years later and love what he does and just support, you know, I’m always, I send people his events, he sends people to my events and we just, we just love and support each other, it’s wonderful, he’s a wonderful man.
2:13:27 I also think about, I never really think when it comes to success, I never really think about like, you know, billionaires or, you know, that’s not really what success is to me. Success is what Jim Rohn said, it’s, you know, Jim Rohn is Tony’s teacher and also teacher of mine, he’s, Jim Rohn inspired me to keep a journal, I know, which I’ve been doing all these years, at 33 years of keeping a journal since Super Camp, since superheroes 1884. Keep it up, I heard it’s so powerful, Penn and Teller, like it’s Penn or Teller is big fan of journals as well.
2:13:57 Journaling is great because it lets you know where you were in the past so you can see patterns, right, or it also just gets your thoughts down, let’s get your thoughts out of your head so it’s out there so you’re not cluttering it up here. That’s probably the one of the best things about journaling, get this, get it out here, also once you get it out here you go, oh, that’s clever, or well maybe change that, or then years later I’d come back and go, oh, I could use that sentence in a book, or that paragraph was good, I’ll put it over here. So neat.
2:14:22 Creative writing and it’s, it’s efficient, it’s efficient, so if you are a writer, which I am, then you know as soon as I have a thought I’m like, wait, that could be good, maybe later in the book, not today or not for this project, but maybe another project, let me write it down, and I’ll write it down. A friend of mine last night he said, he said, god, great outdoors, I was like, dude, that was good, I’m writing that down right now, so I wrote that down to my journal last night. When I think of success I think of people like Mother Teresa, and I know that Mother Teresa had a harsh side to her and, you know, she was vicious but she was also great, you know, I think about people who are just like full on, just all out, I think of some of the great yogis, right, I think of the Shiva Puri Baba, the guy who walked the earth for 40 years barefoot.
2:15:04 I think of, you know, some of the incredible Taoist immortals, you know, the guys who had not only mastered the Taoist system, they really in essence created it, you know, Chinese medicine system and, you know what, like these beings existed, they are, you know, wow, they had walked the earth, that to me is a success beyond, because they’re integrative meetings, it’s not just like the money thing is like, okay great, it’s nice to make money. Yeah, you know, blah blah blah, but then, you know, where are you spiritually, where, you know, where are you, and you’re farming, you know, how which, how’s your connection to the earth, how’s your connection to your family, you know, what, that’s a big part of success. What’s your, you know, what’s the nature of your investigation, you know, what, where are you going with your mind?
2:15:52 That’s a huge part of success, and I am very, very excited about some of the stuff that’s going on on the internet and on YouTube with people changing their mind about stuff and investigating mysteries in a fresh way, you know, taboo stuff, and that’s what the flat earth, right, flatter stuff, mate, Jaren, I love Jaron, what an amazing guy, the morgue, amazing guy. And I was also thinking about, you know, that’s what Terence did too with the psycho, psychoactive plants, he just broke that mold, so I all of a sudden he got to me and I was like, whoa, this guy’s thinking differently, let me look into this, you know, thank god, right, that he got into all that. You know, it’s just incredible what some of these internet researchers are doing with their mind, that they’re like, no, we’re not going to be bound by this, we’re going to look into this, we’re going to go into taboo areas, we’re going to look into the, you know, Del Bigtree of the vaccines.
2:16:47 Del Bigtree of the vaccines have been, he, I have known there’s been problems with vaccines my whole life because of my dad, I got a last vaccine, I got one was when I was seven years old and I knew something was wrong and I was like, that’s it, no more, and I actually rejected all needles completely from that point on the rest of my life, until, you know, I get into like a stem cell thing or whatever. So, you know, Del broke that story that, hey, there’s problems here, we need to look at these problems, and of course the monopoly control goes, we’re not looking at any problems, there are no problems, CDC’s, there’s no problem, but meanwhile we all know from the research there is a problem, and if we don’t address it the problem is going to grow bigger and eventually it’s going to go boom, and this type of problem, by the way, when you know you have, when you’re injecting kids and you’re injuring kids, that to me is a very serious problem, and I have taken massive flak, massive amounts of attacks, I mean that’s why they get trolled on mostly vaccines, and because I questioned the vaccine theory and I quote, a question the vaccine efficacy, and I know there is, I know from experience because I worked with Dr.
2:17:53 Hitt in Tijuana for 10 years, there’s a better technology which is ozone. We’re trying to control infectious diseases, that’s, we all want that, and how do we do that? Well, we can do that with vaccines, that’s one option, and that works most of the time as long as there’s no chemicals, preservatives which there are, in heavy metal preservatives which are in these vaccines, but the vaccine theory is an effective theory. However there’s a better theory which is, let’s use oxygen to neutralize infectious diseases.
2:18:19 Oxygen kills polio on contact, oxygen kills the vaccinium group of bacteria on contact, right, smallpox is in that group, sorry, vaccinium virus, that whole group of viruses is oxidized by bacteria by ozone, so you know like any of them, rubella is killed instantly by ozone and oxygen. This is the system that was developed by Nikola Tesla, who’s on a comeback, what an amazing guy he was, and I have two of those systems and I’ve had those systems for over 17 years, and I use those ozone systems because in Dr. Hitt’s office down there we used ozone systems, I saw a miracle after miracle after miracle down there, unbelievable stuff would go on, we’d give, you know, you want to talk about controversial, you want to talk about a controversial vaccine, I’ll tell you what Dr.
2:19:04 Hitt did down there, they, someone come in, just imagine what would happen after they’ve been cut, burned, poisoned, they’ve been through all the doctors, they’ve been through the whole system, all the chemicals, all the chemotherapy, everything, they finally are in a clinic in Tijuana, just think of what that takes, right, then they’re there, they’re in front of Doctor Hitt, they’re screaming, yelling, freaking out because they’re angry, Americans are angry, right, you know, it’s like it’s a cultural thing, it’s volatile, so you know, Doctor Hitt, he’s in that 80s and he’s like, and I’d be watching, you know, I’d be outside the door watching and be like, okay, yeah, understand why you think that, yeah, okay, you know, like that, they’d be like, are you in as deep, gravely, are you ready to try alternative treatments and alternative medicine, are you ready to do that?
2:19:45 And you know they’d be finely exhausted from all their unloading all their toxicity and then they go, yeah, and be like, okay, first thing we’re going to do is we’re going to have to drink some water and then we’re going to take your urine and we’re going to give you a urine vaccine, a urine vaccine, right, which is by the way the most powerful vaccine of all, and is very effective at controlling cancer, and if you vaccinated yourself with your first clear urine each day, the midstream of it each day, as we did at Dr. Hitt’s clinic under medical supervision, you don’t have to do medical supervision, the way what we do is we teach people how to do it so they can do it at home, and the first clear, right, because most of urine you don’t want that, it’s waste, so you want to get that out and drink a lot of water until it comes out clear, that mid-clear stream, what you’re doing is you’re taking all of those antigens, you know, right, or it was its antigens, I think, is the response to the antibodies that come out in your urine, and then as soon as you inject that back into you, especially it’s in your fat tissue, that’s going to your fat tissue, you’re like in your butt, what happens is your body goes, oh, that’s what we’re dealing with, it’s a, tightens the feedback loop, so your body’s processing all your food and all everything else and dealing with the cancer and is trying to uncode the cancer, and then all of a sudden next week the cancer changes its coding and your body goes, wait, what happened,
2:21:04 It’s not there, oh, it’s over there, and then it’s over there, and it’s trying to uncode it again, takes a week, and then it can’t fight it effectively because the coding is changing, the viral coding. The urine vaccine tightens that loop down so all of a sudden your body goes, oh, we know what the problem is because the antigens are immediately reintroduced back into your body, right, they’ve been sloughed off by your urine, bring it back in, obviously everybody goes, we got the problem, we understand it, and that can keep someone alive, as we found out, and that’s my research with Dr. Hitt, if somebody has a terminal, terminal cancer and there you’re vaccining once a day, they will live on.
2:21:41 Wow. They will live on, but no one’s talking about that, no one’s talking about it, they’ll talk about the other vaccines all day long even though they contain formaldehyde, mercury, aluminum hydroxide, polysorbates, it goes on and on, you know, the thimerosal problem reached, actually reached the US Congress and finally the Congress, like, we got to stop this, this is crazy, right, and so then they stick with the, the crazy thing about the vaccine industry is they stick with their story, they’re like, well, we know that mercury was okay to inject into kids but we’re going to stop it on these because the Congress requested it, they knew all along that mercury is one of the most toxic nerve damaging substances there is, whether it’s methylmercury or ethyl mercury or any form of mercury, this has always been known, in fact we were taught this as kids, we know in science we know that mercury is dangerous, yet, and what’s it doing there, is a preservative, so this is what we’re up against, and it’s what we’re up against is monopoly control, and then people are brainwashed, you know, because they bought what they, you know, what they were sold, and TV and, you know, all this stuff, it’s all safe and effective, and then they find out it’s not, and when they do find out it’s not safe and effective, it is a, it’s a rupture.
2:22:49 It’s a rupture, and I fight that battle because I know so many vaccine-injured kids and families. Until Del Bigtree came along I was probably the only one who really knew the depth of the problem because I was the one going around doing events and guess who’s coming to these health events, families with a vaccine in your child and you can’t get reparations from the US government, you have to battle it in a secret court, a vaccine court, it’s just, no, I don’t even get into it, it’s gnarly. Wow.
2:23:14 Yeah, it’s really heavy, it’s heavy. You mentioned the flat earth earlier, is this the ultimate manifestation of YouTube and the internet going after a traditional theory and it getting legs and getting momentum, and what’s your read on the whole thing? I still have a hard time opening my mind to the whole thing. Yeah, the whole thing, okay, so yeah, it’s big, I mean what you, okay, so when you get to the flat earth, what’s amazing about that, what’s interesting about that is you immediately go, is the space program authentic, right?
2:23:44 You go, boom, space program, is it authentic? Are these pictures that we’re getting, satellite pictures, are they really from satellites, are they from high altitude drone balloons, is this, is the rocketry thing really just a stage trick, right? Now I have been studying the people who are running the world for a very long time and I grew up with David Icke, I mean I’ve been reading that stuff since I was a kid. You’re right, I got kids, you know, the kids that I’ve educated, they’ve been studying that stuff since they were 11 years old, you know, they, so we’re open to that possibility that there could be major organized crime in the world, and is it possible that these guys are using stage magic tricks, look over here, look over here, meanwhile they got your watch off over here, right, and is it possible that the world that we’re living in, it has been misdescribed?
2:24:28 I definitely know that the world we’re living in has been misdescribed to us and oversimplified, including the solar system model, it’s been vastly oversimplified, it doesn’t actually accord itself to the very accurate readings we can get today with our technology, right, like they never predicted that it was going to come to this, right, so they were like, oh, we’ll just run this BS story in front of these people and we’ll just keep it going, but then now all of a sudden we got technology so we’re, it’s leading us to something. But out of all the flat earth stuff what’s going to happen is, is we know the answer and the whole thing is going to come down to Antarctica. There’s something going on in Antarctica, so whatever your belief system is, where you can, you know, get, crack your, you know, this part of it or the other part of it or whatever, Antarctica, are we getting legitimate science out of Antarctica, and do we have proof that the sun is up 24 hours in Antarctica?
2:25:24 And the answer is we do not, because the two videos, and there are only two on the whole internet, of the sun being up 24 hours in Antarctica on June 21st, or sorry, December 21st, which is their summer, yeah, are provable hoaxes and frauds, which right there, that, right there should cause you to go, what, wake up call. Is it possible that the people who are running our governments are connected to each other in secret societies? And the answer is, that’s possible.
2:25:57 Are they working together secretly? Yep, it looks like they are, that’s the Council on Foreign Relations, Trilateral Commission, the Freemasonic societies of the world. Is it possible that they could have mal intent, meaning that they could have intent to deceive? And the answer is, yep, certainly possible. Looks like, look at the business you’re in, I mean you’re dealing with a government that is happy to poison its people with vaccines, with cigarettes, with fatty foods, with subsidized, you know, crop growth for high fructose corn syrup, I mean you’re looking at the psychedelic movement and how it was misrepresented by the government, I mean how could you think any differently?
2:26:30 I mean there’s so many evidence that you see through your work that all this kind of, oh yeah, where, yeah, where I’m at, I’m in the room, my personal, where I’m with the possibilities I’m entertaining personally is I’m in the Rudolf Steiner camp, I’m in the Rudolf Steiner camp that basically the creative force is God, the Cosmic Christ, where, whatever, source energy, nature, whatever, that’s what’s creating us, that’s what creates, right? How could you explain a brand new baby that violates entropy? Right, and that every generation there’s a brand new baby that’s violating the whole idea of entropy, so entropy can only exist with ectropy, the opposite defines the other, rationality can only exist with the irrationality, the uncomfortable can only exist with comfortable, right, the opposite defines the other, so to me I’m in the Rudolf Steiner camp, which is you want to get in that middle, that creative middle, and you want to be careful about falling off to the sides, and what he says around the sides are parasitic, demonic entities, one of which he calls Lucifer and the other he calls Ahriman.
2:27:27 Lucifer is the being that disintegrates, so all parasites fall into either of the Luciferic, which is the disintegrative type of parasite, that’s kind of like diabetes, diabetes is like a syndrome where you start breaking down, you start disintegrating, right, all of a sudden you’re having peripheral neuropathy, things are breaking down, your feet, can’t feel your feet, you’re tingling, all of a sudden they’re amputating your feet and disintegrating, that’s that side, you’ve gone too far that way, and the other side, the other parasitic being is the one that we’re dealing with in the Western world, and Rudolf Steiner said it’s going to come to a head in this century, and it is the demon of materialism which he called Ahriman, which is interesting because it’s named after the Persian deity of technology, and the Persians were the first to have a civilization that had science, but they were also the first to have scientism, which is beliefs surrounding science that you can’t do, you can’t be an art club unless you believe this, this and this, you can’t do science unless you believe this, this and this, and he called that being Ahriman.
2:28:26 Now Ahriman, in our Western parlance we would liken that being to Mephistopheles or Satan. Now that being and that parasitic energy which besets us on all sides as a living being on this earth and besets all living beings on this earth, that parasites are going to try to disintegrate you or they’re going to try to sedimentate you or cement you or form you into plaque formations or harden you, form crystallized hardening of your tissue, so the belief system in materialism or the harmonic deception that we’re a material being only, it causes heart attacks, is related to strokes, is related to arthritic formation throughout our body or sedimentation in our body, essentially what it’s doing is like it’s like this idea that we’re excreting calcium into the wrong spot, what’s going on there, we’re sedimenting or we’re actually becoming more material, and this is what’s, if you look at Western culture, what’s the number one killer in Western culture?
2:29:28 Heart disease. What’s causing it? Plaque formation. What’s that? Calcification.
2:29:32 What’s calcification? Sedimentation. Why? Because of the materialistic belief system first, and that leads to materialistic behaviors including materialistic diets that then will lead to the heart disease. Okay, you see following that logic?
2:29:46 Okay, so this is that we’re in a polarity there on both sides. So what Rudolf Steiner says is that we basically have two demons that we’re battling, they’re within us for sure but they, in his understanding, they also exist as outside energies, kind of like God is within us and also exists outside, and so that we have to watch inside ourself of being too woo-woo, you know, we’re, oh no, it’s all good, we’re good, you don’t need to do that, surfer guy, right. Right, and then the other side is, which is basically the drug addict or the homeless person who can’t get, can’t hold the responsibility of being a material being.
2:30:21 Yeah, right, and then the other side is the Hitler, the Mussolini, the Stalin, is like super, you know, we’re off with your head, you’re doing what I say, you know, the intense materialistic dogmatic stuff, and we have to stay in that Cosmic Christ in between. Now this harmonic deception is intense, it is intense because science is wound up in it, and this is one of the, this is actually the underlying reason why I am in the involved in separating science and the scientific method away from scientism because scientism is harmonic, and by the way the millions and quadrillions of miles story, Rudolf Steiner warned us about that story, oh it’s quadrillions of miles away or it’s 300 light years away or whatever, which he called mathematical astronomy, is a very dangerous harmonic deception.
2:31:16 All you have to do is read the books of Charles Fort, which I really recommend, Charles Fort’s Book of the Damned, Wild Talents, Lo! and New Lands, those four books are classics in their field. Charles Fort lived in the library for 25 years, obliterated all belief systems and just went on data only and came up with some stuff that just obliterates it, whatever your belief system is it’ll be obliterated by his research, and one of the things that he landed on is that some of the things that the flat earth people are bringing up, which is like, can we prove that the earth is moving? What about Airy’s failure, right?
2:31:51 And we’re like, no, no space program again. Could it be a magic trick and you haven’t decided yet? No, I have decided where I’m at, I know, I’ve seen enough evidence. Yeah, okay. Yeah, I know what we’re dealing with and we’re dealing with black magic.
2:32:05 But you’ve seen this systematically through various institutions over Europe? Oh, in my life, yeah, I know, I see the pattern and I know who, what we’re dealing with, and basically the reason why the flat earth comes up is because the globe theory, that spell that was cast on humankind has been broken, and it was so, to my mind where I’m at, because I come from the McKenna background of all that research on plants and shamanism, where I’m actually really coming from is science is fake and magic is real. Now what the reason why I say they’re, like, what are you talking about, your phone works, what about, what about your car, all that.
2:32:41 Okay, but yeah, there’s side effects though, there’s side effects, meaning, oh yeah, it works, but what’s the price that we all pay that it works? Is it possible we could have a technology that works without pollution? Yeah, we could, but that’s real scientific method, not scientism, right? If we use the scientific method we get real clever, we can develop technologies that do not pollute and do not render things out of the earth that can’t be consumed back by the earth, we can get smart, we can do great things in that way.
2:33:12 So to me, you know, like when I say science is fake, I do that for effect because, you know, fake news or, you know, people like that, you know, that phraseology. What’s really ruling the world always has been since the very beginning, and what Rudolf Steiner is really teaching us is a good type of magic, what scientism really is is evil type of magic, it drags you into sedimentation, it drags you into the material world, it makes you angry, it makes you volatile, it pisses you off, it upsets you, it becomes a religious dogma, next thing you know you’re shouting at people because they don’t believe what you believe, fundamentalism, and ultimately these two forces, by the way, on both sides are the same, they’re parasites, right, and they’re, what they’re trying to do is they’re trying to break you down, and they see that, it, that’s the reason, another reason why I understand this concept really well is because I was trained by Ann Wigmore’s people, I was trained by the great parasitologist Hannah Kroeger and her knowledge, I understand from my experience that people have worms and tape worms and they have liver flukes and the candida is a parasite and the viruses are parasites and that bacteria can live in you and rob from you but not give you anything, parasite, that cancer can be parasitic, and so I understand what parasites are, you see what I’m saying, and so that’s how I, all of that previous knowledge allows me to look at this and go, uh-huh, yeah, it’s a scam, we’re being scammed, it’s a lie, they’re lying
2:34:35 To us. And who are they? Well, it’s compartmentalized to the very top, so there’s people who work in banks who are wonderful people, they’re great. You’re right, amazing to me. Yeah, because you’re working, yeah, you’re banking, yourself, there’s, I mean of course the normal people like all of us, but at the very top, am I convinced that those people are, have your best interest in mind?
2:34:54 Not convinced, and here’s an example, Standing Rock. 38 banks involved, investigative journalists found out 38 banks were funding the pipeline through under the Missouri River, you know, and that was what the Standing Rock protest was about, Native Americans we’re trying to stop people, we’re trying to stop it, and then we thought, oh, it’s just them up against, you know, this oil company, then we turned out the four oil companies backed by 38 banks. So now do people in those banks know that they’re battling the Native Americans and spraying them with all kinds of chemicals?
2:35:27 I was there, they’re spraying stuff, they were, it was gnarly, and shooting at people with rubber bullets and hurting people, breaking their ribs, and like, do those people working in those banks know that? They don’t know that, no, of course not, they’re normal people like you and I, but do the people who are running those banks and making the decisions to support those oil companies know? Yes, they know. That’s what I’m saying, that’s, we call that, that’s the hierarchical pyramid, and that’s what evil uses, the persons that at the top they know but down below that nobody knows anything about anything.
2:36:01 So is it possible that at the very top of the governments of the world it’s all being run by the same people? Sure looks like it to me. And how do you stay optimistic knowing all this stuff? Well, because you are. Yeah, absolutely, I think it’s very important, you know, this is a very important Vedic concept which is, it’s very important to not only know who you are but also where you are.
2:36:26 Okay, now take that metaphorically or literally or however you want to take that, but when you know where you are, you are spiritually empowered. Okay, so when you know, like, oh, the earth could be this instead of that, those guys have a history of lying to me, I’ve seen the pharmaceutical list of all the judgments that have gone against them, the 1.5 billion against Merck, the 2.2 billion against Pfizer, these are just lawsuits we heard about that they lost, that we know about. Can I really trust them?
2:36:58 Nope. Can I really trust these people in government who, oh, that guy turned out to be a pedophile, can I really trust him? Nope. So can I trust the world view that they’re selling me? I can’t.
2:37:10 So then I have to do my own research, and through my own research I’ve come to a conclusion about where we are and we’re, and that position is Wayne Dyer’s position, which is we’re a spiritual being having a human experience in this realm of infinite possibilities, which is amazing, and yes this evil has run amok and yes we have organized crime that we’re dealing with at the highest levels, for sure, but they, that it’s parasitic, they will consume themselves, they will, they will fall, and they always want more and more and more and more and more, and eventually people go, oh no, oh, that’s as much as you’re taking, eventually the people will rise up and rebel and throw the parasites off. I don’t, I don’t know, you know, when that point is but it will come, and probably in the next 83 years, so you need to hang around, right?
2:37:52 Yeah, I’d like to, I’d like to see that within the next 200 that I’m going to be living. I’m going for 3000 by the way overall. 3,000 years, but overall, yeah, it’s a different lifetimes. No, no, I mean like, like I haven’t said that yet, I never really actually said how long my goal is to live, it’s three thousand, that’s my written goal. Okay, all right, you know immediately thousands, it just, what came to mind.
2:38:12 Okay, that was like writing down because I was in a seminar and I was like, god, I need to write down how long I’m going to live. 3,000 is what came to mind, so I just wrote that down. So you’re just getting warmed up, and you get warmed up really, so just get going to there. Yeah, kind of thing. So if I asked your friends what your superpower is, what would they tell me?
2:38:31 It is how are you able to be the Avocado Man, how can you do it all, what would they say is your superpower? And maybe now we should also talk about the Avocado name too because it’s kind of superhero related, but what would that be for you? Oh, it’s energy. Yeah, but I mean the biggest problem I’ve had with my assistants and people have helped me over the years, my employees and just the amazing people who work around me, is that I overwhelm them, right, because I’m keeping going, I’ll go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, I’m like, go to sleep, get out of my way, you know, it’s like it’s, that’s the main thing is energy.
2:39:04 Okay, and that to me is the most important marker of health, if you have the energy you’re healthy, right, that’s a very important piece of life, you know, and success is just having enough energy to do what you’re here to do. Yeah, so, and that comes from diet, thinking, practices, everything we’ve been talking about today, right, staying inside of inspiration, staying in your right brain more than your left brain. My friend Tony Wright has the world record in staying awake and he found out that your right brain doesn’t need to sleep, your left brain does.
2:39:33 Interesting, that’s amazing. Okay, and you sleep three to four hours a night and a nap? Yes. And you’re good? I’m good.
2:39:40 Wow. Okay, wow. Avocado name, Avocado name, that’s the one. This is great, when we started out way back in the day my cousin was like, oh yeah, I’m in, and my best friend’s like, oh man, we thought we got to have like a, we got to do something like what KISS did, you know, have these personas where as individuals we’re our own thing but we can get together, we have our superhero group, and so we had to come up with superhero names, and my cousin was, his name that he selected was Raw Courage Vegetable Man.
2:40:07 Okay, Raw Courage Vegetable Strong, good one. Yeah, and the inspiration came from some of the fantasy books that we read when we were kids, Stephen R. Donaldson stuff, you know, Saltheart Foamfollower, Raw Courage Vegetable Man, I don’t know if you remember those books, it’s like they’re like J.R.R. Tolkien stuff. Okay, and then my other friend over here, he became Captain Wheatgrass because back then he’s a real wheatgrass guy, he always loved beer and grains, and so Captain Wheatgrass, and then my thing was like, we don’t have one, we got to come up with something, and my cousin came over one day, he got, I thought of a bunch of names and one of the names on there was Fats Avocado.
2:40:41 Fats Avocado, and I was like, that’s it, boom, that’s it, Fats Avocado, like Fats Domino, Domino. Okay. Yeah, which I love Fats Domino, by the way, you know, I listen to that Domino, is that his, the Twist? Yeah, well he did that song, I don’t know if he wrote it, but he did, you know, one day I was listening to Fats Domino and he did The Saints Come Marching In and I was like, wait, when the saints come marching in, that’s a good thing right there, I like the sound of that one.
2:41:04 So Pat’s done was amazing in Blueberry Hill, of course, I’m a blueberry grower, so I found my thrill on Blueberry Hill. Great. Fat Avocado and I have been growing avocados all these years and always, you know, sprouting avocados everywhere and it’s just been my thing, so it was like Avocado eventually became the moniker and the Fats dropped off, but my old friends know me as Fats and they still call me Fats, and so every now and then someone goes, Fats, and I’ll be like, dude, yeah, that’s funny.
2:41:29 All right, that’s a good description of the name. I just thought of Crazy Legs, everyone calls him Legs, and yeah, his mom calls him Legs, so kind of like you and your old friends. Worst moment of your life, best moment of your life? Oh jeez, worst, mom, I mean worse moments are always when you lose somebody you love, you know, lose your grandma, your grandfather, that kind of thing. I’ve been very lucky that I still have both my parents, don’t have any grandparents left, and and probably the worst one was when I lost my cousin, so my cousin died in a car accident in 1994, that same year actually, interestingly, and that was a, that was a devastating thing for all our whole family, at 28 years old, that was probably the worst moment, and I’ve been very, very fortunate not to have anything like that since, you know, that at that level of intensity, bad things have happened but not that bad.
2:42:16 Okay, and so that’s worst. And best? Oh geez, what’s the best thing ever? I think the best thing ever for me is getting into that state of peak performance and holy flow, the hypersynchronicity moments where I can’t pinpoint an exact moment but I can, I can pinpoint certain days, you know, like injure my back, you know, and I can’t, I still can’t, I’m not, you know, I enjoyed my back when I was in 1989, and I never was able to really do things like other people could do and certain things I couldn’t do, and I, one day I ended up at an event, doing an event in Hawaii, and there was a guy in the back and I kept looking at him, he reminded me of Uri Geller, he had eyes like Uri Geller, Uri Geller and I have met before, he’s a friend of mine, very amazing guy, and and afterwards I’m like, dude, you look, you remind me of Uri Geller, and he just goes, he goes like this, it’s intelligence, and I was like, okay, and he’s like, do you want to have dinner?
2:43:16 I was like, okay, I knew who he was, I suspected who he was, he’s a psychic healer, a friend of mine, Howard Wills, and when I say psychic healer I’m not talking about like, you know, crystal balls, I mean like he snaps his fingers, something happens, you know, something’s going on. I’ve made it a, it’s one of the things in my life that’s why I sought out Uri Geller, I want to see if it’s real, I want to know, I’m Western, I’m screwed up, I don’t believe nothing, right, I’m materialistic, right, that’s what I grew up with, so I got to work my way to the middle and that’s why I seek these people out, and Howard, I thought I had heard he was going to come to my event and then I, you know, I thought back that I think that’s him, he had the eyes, and I was like, okay, so we had dinner and he started telling me about his work and what he does and how he and how the powers, you know, happened for him, it came to him or the intelligence that he channels through.
2:44:02 That’s my opinion about psychic healers, they’re not really psychics, it’s not like suddenly you’re psychic, it’s that you have an intelligence that’s around you or is part of you or is nearby and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t because it’s not totally in your control, it’s more in that intelligence’s control, you’re a channel for it. That’s been my experience of studying the great psychics of the world and he’s one of them, and he went like this, boom, he snapped his fingers and my back corrected itself, it moved, and I went, whoa, and within a week I was doing things I hadn’t been able to do in 16 years. It’s powerful, that’s powerful stuff, and so that was one of those moments where it was like, that was the best ever, right, because if you’ve had a long injury for a long time and there’s just certain, like, I couldn’t do a push-up for 10 years.
2:44:48 Yeah, I was injured that badly, I could not do a push-up for 10 years, I couldn’t sleep on my side for years, rib injury, I basically tore that rib out of the sternum like that and then it never sat right and then it just was, it’s a bad injury. And how did he do that? He channels light, he channels energy, it’s an intelligence. I could go all day long and tell you the most amazing stories that I’ve seen about him and all the years that we’ve been friends, he’s one of my best friends today, and all the great things, you know, you know, all the amazing things I’ve seen, but I don’t do that because people don’t believe it, because people are materialistic, that’s the reality, and or they get scared, right, so then they’ll retreat into, you know, that’s, you know, it’s witchcraft or something like that.
2:45:28 It’s like just light, it’s just intelligence, just it’s just, you know, he’s just channeling energy into you and he’s just a being that knows how to do that or has been gifted with that. We all have our magical powers, right, and some of those magical powers are, you know, obvious and some of them are more psychic and some of them are more, you know, like, you know, your mom knows how to, how to, you know, push your buttons, or their magical powers how to heal you or sit, you know, and satiate you, you know, there’s moms have magical powers, everybody knows that, right, so we all have those, don’t overthink it, maybe just kind of go with it. This guy, that’s, and that’s what you get to, you know, when you, the woman who sold me my house, her mom, her, sorry, her husband’s mom, her stepmom, or sorry, her mother-in-law, she was, she had macular degeneration, she came to one of his events, he went like that, boom, she could suddenly see again, she was blind, I mean she was losing her sight, boom, back, just like that, everybody’s was there, everybody saw it, she admitted it, she’s, oh my god, I can see, just that, the snap of the fingers.
2:46:32 You can’t talk to about that with regular people, they don’t understand it, it’s a, it’s a difficult thing to understand. We’re not mature enough yet as a human race, we will get there eventually, but we’re still very, very immature, that’s why we go to the fundamentalism, you know, that’s like the, we freak out, we’re freaked out teenager, we go to that extreme or we freak out and go this extreme, and as we mature eventually, and actually that what Rudolf Steiner says about the 21st century and what we’re dealing with right now as we start to understand the evil that is controlling this world and we start to really get like how they’re lying to us and why they’re lying to us, the next eon that comes will be much smarter and more mature and will go, oh, they’re trying those old tricks again, right, just like a civilization growing up or a child growing up, right, growing up, we’re still, we’re a teenager.
2:47:23 Okay, you mentioned birth a few times here, any children for you, anytime in the future? You got a couple thousand years left, right? Yeah, maybe, I mean if, you know, if it goes that way, I don’t have any kids now. I never, you know what, I’ll just tell you totally honestly, when my kid, when my friends started like getting married and having kids, it had never even crossed my mind, it had never even crossed my mind, I was like, I never saw myself with big family and kids and all that kind of stuff, it just never crossed my mind.
2:47:49 Really interesting. So I just love doing what I’m doing so much and I’m so happy with what’s going on that it’s hard to change it if you’re having a good time. Yeah, plus you’ve got plenty of time left, right? Right, plenty of time, not worried, you know, like, oh, we’re good.
2:48:32 I had Kevin Kelly in here, one of the founders of Wired magazine, and he said, Brian, you’re only as old as the last time you changed your mind. That’s good, and I was wondering what have you changed your mind about, say, the last six months or a year? Great, oh, what have I changed my mind about, that’s a big one. Bruce Lipton said nothing, that’s what he said. That’s great.
2:48:53 Yeah, he was like, no, I mean I’m always trying to, I’m looking for stuff that helps me change my mind, always, I’m always doing that, and I’m just trying to think of the last really great breakthrough, something that was really, I think, you know, I think okay, one of the things I’ve changed my mind about is, it’s kind of, you know, it’s off topic but, you know, we’re definitely under weather modification, right, so our governments are involved in weather modification, they have been since the 1940s. If you don’t know that or not aware of it or don’t care, whatever, that’s cool, but if you want to look into it, start with Project Cirrus, C-I-R-C-I-R-R-U-S, and then investigate from there, and that was a 1940s program, weather modification, seeding hurricanes, moving hurricanes around, changing the course of weather, and I think we’re very deeply into that, we’re very much in trouble with all that now.
2:49:46 The story that we get in like conspiracy theory world is, oh, it’s all controlled by HAARP. Actually that cannot be true, and HAARP is an acronym for HAARP is, uh, high altitude, I can’t remember the exact acronyms, H-A-A-R-P, okay, and these are high-frequency generators and the idea of HAARP is that they’re gonna heat up a certain area of the ionosphere and that pushes the ionosphere up and will pull weather underneath that spot essentially, and so you can direct it, you know, around and be like, okay, we’re gonna point it at that part of the ionosphere and then we’re gonna heat that part of the ionosphere up and then we can change the Gulf Stream or something, the jet stream. Now that cannot be the cause of a lot of the weather modification things that we see, and that’s led me to investigate NEXRAD, exrad, which are mobile radar platforms, they can be in one position but they could also be put on a boat, moved around, and I think that that’s the technology that they’re using, not HAARP, so I had to change my mind on that one just from research and looking at it.
2:50:49 And this is another area where you’re going to get the scientists and people freaking out, melting down, there’s no such thing as chemical trails or any of that kind of stuff, and it’s like, oh man, just look into it, investigate, start in the 1940s, see what’s going on, check out that certain flight patterns, like in California it’s really easy to see, because this can’t be all commercial jet aircraft, because on a Monday there’s nothing, there’s no planes, even Tuesdays planes flying zigzag, you know, tic-tac-toe boards up there, Wednesday there’s nothing up there. Okay, that doesn’t look like commercial jet aircraft, what is that? Oh, it’s military aircraft, okay, what are they doing up there because those contrails persist, right, and so which means they’re probably chemtrails, not controlling, right, or we’re being conned, right.
2:51:33 So for you it’s pretty obvious? It’s obvious, it’s completely obvious, they’ve been doing it forever, and I think just like the pharmaceutical prescription, it’s better living through chemistry, doesn’t work, you have to use more alchemical thinking, which is you have to integrate into more of the different disparate elements of nature, or you have to consider astrological force, you have to consider timing, you just can’t go up there and just like, okay, today we’re going to just go do this, it’s unnatural and it’s not and it’s going to lead to pollution and it’s going to lead to chaos. Right, for example, it just taking medicine, when should you take the medicine?
2:52:08 Well, it’s better to say, always better to take herbal medicine as the moon waxes towards full, not when it wanes, you absorb nutrition better as it waxes, just that’s an astrological force, you know, so that’s never even considered, we’re not, you can’t even talk about it, astrology does, it’s a lie or whatever they’re telling us. I’d like anybody to tell me that, you know, that this eclipse that we had is not related to the hurricanes and the earthquakes that we’ve had. They’re related and they’ve been known to be related for hundreds of years, Charles Fort used to go crazy about this, like it’s obvious, like there’s the eclipse, then you got the hurricanes, then you got the earthquakes, it’s all connected, it always happens in the same order, just and this is 1930s and no one listened.
2:52:56 You’ll see weather reports today, they don’t even talk about it, that these hurricanes could have had something to do with the eclipse, they’re connected, and what you read on these hurricanes and like just watching them come one after the other, well I think that they’re formed naturally and the eclipse is definitely part of it and they’re steered unnaturally, and very likely that this water sucking effect that these hurricanes are exhibiting is part of a geoengineering program that’s led to this, for example is it 50 inches of rain in Houston in certain areas in 36 hours, I mean how, it’s not just unheard of, that could be due to geoengineering for sure, that looks to me like geoengineering, and then meanwhile I’m talking to my friend in Dallas, he’s like, we don’t even have, never even made it here, it was dry.
2:53:41 This is Dallas, it’s not that far from Houston to Dallas, you mean you guys didn’t get any weather over there? It’s like, no, it’s like, what, you know, that doesn’t sound natural to me, it doesn’t, doesn’t, doesn’t sound right to that, the whole thing parked right over Houston, and you know I think they’re doing experiments and I think who’s running these programs are people involved in organized crime and evil and they’re the people who’ve been fomenting these wars and the people who were running the Nazis and running us over here and all the governments and they’re battling each other, right, to basically subdue the people. That’s a legit theory.
2:54:13 That is legit theory, it is just a theory though, I can’t get too caught up in that. Yeah, that’s makes you different than a lot of people is that you just say, okay, this is what I think it is but it’s just a theory. Yeah, because you’re ultimately scientific even with yourself. Yeah, right, and I have to be careful about myself, you know, I have to go back and go, yeah, okay, now I’m buying in this too much, I’m getting too much into believing this, I got to get, I got to back out.
2:54:35 Okay, that’s a nice, that’s a nice part of you that you can check yourself that way, both sides, one way, the other way, kind of like you were talking about, it’s a good effect of being trolled, right? Right, you know, when you get trolled it’s like you have to check yourself, like consider, was I out of line here or did I really say something that was, and it happens, you know, I’ll put something up and it doesn’t have the correct, you know, citation, I screwed up, sorry, right, makes it happen. Yeah, I had Gavin Schmidt in here, who runs NASA’s climate, you know, science unit, and he was talking about, you know, global, you know, climate change and trying to deal with the Trump administration’s that’s cutting back the funding and things like that, and you know how to him and everybody in the community it’s just obvious and he has to deal with people like Trump saying, well, the climate has always gone up and down in history, and he’s like, of course we all know that, and, you know, ad hominem attacks and things like that that you’re used to, right?
2:55:28 I can’t finish this off without asking you your read holistically on Trump the phenomenon and how is it affecting America, cause my mom comes over here and we just watch it from over here so I don’t really know what it’s like to be there, right? When she talks about it I see pain in her, I see the fact that she feels embarrassed when she travels abroad and I feel like she feels divided by her fellow citizens in San Diego and some people went one way, some people went the other way, and it seems more serious when an American visits here than me just watching it. Yeah, what is your read on it?
2:55:59 Okay, so well I guess I gotta, I gotta go back to like, I’m not believing that, you know, the Bush family is involved in great philanthro, philanthropic stuff, I know they’re involved in crimes, I also know the Clinton family is involved in crimes and organized crime, I had enough investigation, I’ve been studying the Clintons for over 20 years, there’s organized crime going on and it’s, and it gets to levels that are gnarly. Now the only people who can confront that are people like Trump, are self-made and powerful enough that they can get into a position that they can confront like a Hillary Clinton. So, you know, a friend of mine said it this way last night, he said if Hillary Clinton would have gotten into power we’re looking at an antichrist scenario.
2:56:42 Now as much as, you know, we’re bought into the Democratic Party or whatever, our, you know, service theory is, Hillary Clinton, I know she’s involved in organized crime, she’s, you know, she’s going down to that pedophile island, you know, she’s, her assistant Huma Abedin is married to that pervert, you know, it’s just too much weird stuff going on right there just on the surface, let alone if you investigate. So I didn’t vote for either Hillary or Trump, just FYI, but Trump came in, it’s like, okay, he’s the only one who can confront this, but then I know billionaires like him and, you know, their egomaniacs, they need to be constantly comforted and, you know, I see those traits in him and, you know, it’s like it’s like a TV show, I don’t know what to say about it.
2:57:23 I’m not a Trump fan boy, you know, like I’m, like, oh, you know, at least we beat her, it’s like, no, and then we got, now we got to deal with this, and so it’s like the environment, the environmental catastrophes in America are gnarly, like when I was at Standing Rock and I started looking really deep into this, there is, you can make a case that there is an environmental catastrophe in America every single day, you can make that case, there’s definitely an oil spill in America every week, which blew my mind, we’re not aware that, we’re not told that, we don’t get those reports, 25,000 gallons of diesel went into that creek, this thing went over here, this thing blew up, 5,000 gallons over here went over into that thing and dumped into that river, every week in America.
2:58:08 No kidding. Dig into the research, it’s just incredible, and so this stuff of like just shutting down any kind of environmental sensibilities, putting the pipeline through, but fracking, it’s satanic, I don’t even know how to, fracking, when you’re putting a hundred chemicals eight thousand feet into the earth you’re basically destroying the ley lines of the earth and it’s just, god, no, and the water table for sure. So it’s like, it’s a gnarly situation because it’s a no-win situation, so we’re looking at this whole election, we’re like, there’s just this is a no-win situation, and we’re seeing more and more of that in America and that troubles me, it really does, it’s, and I think that’s what’s leading to frustration and volatility and, you know, where it’s kind of heading, which is it’s like, you know, fighting in the streets, it could come to that, it feels like it’s coming to that, and so I kind of tend to stay away as a result of that, I don’t want to be the streets of LA, I don’t want to be in the streets of Houston or where, where could pop, you know, I could go on and on, I could go on and on about some of the, because I study more, I’m more of a researcher into evil and I want to understand evil because it helps me to understand good, and therefore, you know, when I’m looking at these people I’m seeing, you know, at one point Trump had like 1800 lawsuits going on as a developer, I mean what, huh, 1800 lawsuits, what does that even mean, right?
2:59:36 So that means he’s got armies of attorneys battling armies of other attorneys, what kind of civilization is this, and then what kind of crimes are going on that there has to be this much litigation going on, it just, I don’t know. That’s weird. Is it going to get worse before it gets better? I, here’s where I’m at with it, I’m praying for grace, I’m praying for a miracle, and I know miracles can happen and I know that we just, like, in a blanket of an eye all can be changed and all can be improved, and we could get through this.
3:00:05 I don’t know what’s going to happen with the fate of America, but I do suspect that over the next hundred years we’re going to see the rise of Russia, I suspect that’s going to happen, and that Russia may even become a very strong beacon of light in the world. Now I’m very, I’m very, uh, jaded in that regard because I know the story is Stalin and I’ve read the books on Putin and he’s a, he’s a gangster, he’s a youngster, but he’s again at least he’s a gangster, you know, at least we know, you know, but then you then you look at some of these American politicians and you’re like, oh my god, this guy’s fiddling with little kids, and what the heck’s that, the pedophilia and all that stuff is just crazy and it’s the whole thing’s gnarly. This great company called Stratfor and they’re about based in Texas and there’s a guy who wrote a book called, George Friedman, called The Next 100 Years, and he projects about where Russia will go and these kinds of things, it’s called geopolitics and they say the nations behave based on their geography and stuff, and you’d find that really interesting.
3:01:08 I should read that. Yeah, I should read more about that. I mean I know from the Russian people that I know, a lot of Russian people, in fact I was just with a Russian interviewer earlier today, both parents are Russian, grew up in New Zealand, they’re an amazing race of people, they are incredible and they have amazing things and gifts to the world, and I know when I speak in front of a group that has a lot of Russians in it they get me, they understand what I’m talking about when it comes to health, science, fasting, superfoods, herbalism, they are with it, they, and that, and that’s why I suspect that Russia over time, over the next 100 years, will actually become stronger in a good way, will actually become a more freer nation.
3:01:46 I know how it is there now, it’s run by mafias, it’s, you know, do you have a roof over, I know the guys who work there, like you have to have a stronger roof than that guy or this mafia is going to be putting that mafia out of business, right, it’s like that kind of behavior, but eventually I think they can get a reasonable system in there because the people themselves are, they’re just intelligent, they’re beautiful, they’re amazing, they’re fun to hang out with, they’ve always been some of the most adventurous people I’ve hung out with and I like them, so I have hope. Yeah, you know, I can’t finish this up without asking you a little bit about food, at superfoods, and I think you’re probably also bringing some animal proteins back into your diet, you know, without, uh, vegetarian, you’re a vegetarian.
3:02:29 Without spending another three hours, we’ll have to have you back for this properly, what is your current state of the union as far as your read on what you eat, what we should be thinking about eating and some of the superfoods that are on your list? I love talking about the broad strokes and getting people off the genetically modified food because it’s untested, plus it’s not natural, plus wild food’s better. There’s a phrase and it’s one of the things, one of my main teachings, one thing I love to invite every audience to engage in, which is to understand the wild foods that grow around you and even eat them, or understand the wild herbs that grow around you and even eat them, and one of the great energies that endow us and they see you are imbued with is from wild food, is called shen, which is your aura, and that’s something that I really like to get people into because it’s something where, you know, if you’re dimmed down, if your light is dimmed down and you want to get rejuvenated, you want to get that light back, there are ways, and food is helpful but wild food is the most helpful by far.
3:03:23 Okay, okay, so that’s a piece. Superfoods, you know, what are the super, I live on hot chocolate, you know, I, so I make my, and I forage all my mushrooms from the forest, they’re all tree mushrooms or what we call medicinal mushrooms, they’re immunological, they’re powerhouses for not only nourishing the white blood cell and giving it more weaponry but also to help to stimulate more the production of the white blood cells from the bone marrow, they get into a stimulatory response and so the more you do it, the more consistently, the more that feedback loop works and the more immunologically powerful you become, to the point now where I, and I love telling this to people, there’s no chance I’m getting sick, there’s no chance I’m getting a cough, cold, flu, fever, any of that stuff, not happening.
3:04:05 I’ve done 3000 events, I made all of them, I never called in sick, never missed an event, not even from a missed flight or a car breaking down or anything, in all those years I have the record I think of anybody, I’ve never missed an event my whole career, so that’s a technology, so I like to keep teaching people that technology in this climate. It’s what was here originally was forests, what kind of forest, birch forest, maple, oak, all the great ones, and those produce, when those trees die or, you know, even when they’re alive they can produce mushrooms, you break those off a tree, you boil them up, you know, you make a tea, simmer them, and then that becomes the base of the hot chocolate, so then I’ll put in, you know, the cacao beans, I’ll put in my favorite herbs like mucuna and vanilla, something like that, cayenne pepper, boom, and then I’m going to have a little body in there, maybe I’ll take a dollop of almond butter goes in there and then that gives it a little bit of body and then I’ve got a nice hot chocolate with some substance in it and it’s all medicinal, it’s a medicinal hot chocolate, I live on that.
3:04:59 I could live on that, that’s what I’m going to be doing when I do this cleanse with Woody, I’m gonna start, right, just go to the hot chocolate and I just live on that for a while and then gradually wean off of that, and there’s a lot to be said for fresh vegetable juices and I’m really into that too, that’s the other side, you know, hot chocolate something you do at night, you don’t drink wheatgrass juice at midnight, you’re not going to be, you’re going to be out of your mind, you know, like jacked up out of your mind, so that’s a, that’s more of an earlier in the day thing, the wheatgrass juice or even the vegetable juice meals wise, you know, one, like if you’re gonna have rice, okay, by the way, black rice is the new brown rice, we’re talking a little bit about black and black has more zinc in it but also is associated with longevity, and so, you know, if you can, if you have a choice why not go to something that we know is going to give you a better shot at longevity.
3:05:45 I like to say stack the odds in your favor whenever possible, and so let’s say you have black rice and a salad, that’s it, you know, more of the salad, more of the black rice, so you’re not mixing, especially a starch with a protein like fish, right, I don’t eat vegetarian but if you’re gonna have fish, have fish and salad, you want more, have more fish, more salad, but don’t mix the starch in there, they conflict. Okay, those are key ideas, those are key ideas, but most Western meals do exactly that, mix all the time, they conflict. Okay, yeah, okay, all right, any other fundamentals?
3:06:16 Other fundamentals is, drink water before any tea, coffee, anything for breakfast in the morning, at least one liter, I’d recommend putting a little bit of sea salt in there for electrolytes, a little bit of lemon, if the water’s warm your body will accept it better, and then if you really are getting what I’m saying about charcoal, a little bit of charcoal in the morning just to detoxify your body better than what your organs are able to do because we have a lot of toxicity in our world, a lot in the water, a lot in the air, we’re breathing it in all the time, give your body a little bit of a break, get some charcoal in. Okay, and plant-based diet, is it just a no-brainer for you, should we all really get on that in the long run? Yeah, we need to be looking at plant-based diet, Paleolithic diets, raw foods, fresh juices, superfoods and herbs that make sense to us, you don’t need herb number 580, we’re not getting there, how about number one, two and three, that’s all you need, and in this ecosystem the ones I really bring up a lot are reishi and chaga mushroom, and then maybe another, you know, really cool herb like astragalus or something like that.
3:07:15 Okay, and superfoods, avocados and blueberries, what are some of the ones, some of the ones I’m really into, I like hemp seed a lot as a superfood because the omega-3s, chia seed a lot, I like spirulina, blue-green algae, I like chlorella a lot, I like of course goji berries, what are some other, some of my other favorites, all the bee products, honey, bee pollen, royal jelly, propolis. Okay, yeah, that’s a pretty good basic, and finally I have to ask before we go, what’s it like smoking weed with Woody Harrelson? Oh great, well he’s been off, he’s been, he’s been completely off the cannabis.
3:07:48 Yeah, he’s been completely off the cannabis, and so, you know, it’s just, it’s great having Woody in your home, you know, and he’s, it’s, I’m working on a computer and he’s working on a script behind me sitting there, you know, and we’re just hanging out and it’s just, it’s like he’s like a brother to me, we’ve been friends for so long. you know, we’re just tight like that, and yeah, I just love his, you know, his ethic, his, he is a hard worker. I mean he, you know, he’s been in London for a year, I couldn’t believe it, I was like, dude, are you still here?
3:08:20 He’s like, yeah. I’m like, okay, we’re coming over. I couldn’t believe it was still here and it’s because the Star Wars movie got extended really far, it’s because, you know, he did his London, Escape from London or Exit to London live performance, but live, the live movie theater thing. Yeah, he’s a hard worker and that’s why he’s successful, but it’s also because he’s healthy, but the only reason you can work that hard is you have to be healthy to maintain three movies a year every year, all, you know, it’s full on, and then be away from your family, be away from Maui, be away from, you know, all the things that he loves, and I think that’s why he had to give up the cannabis, is because it’s just, you know, it’s too much when you’re at the, you know, when you’re younger you got more jang, you’re just firing it out, but then there comes a point where it’s, you know, it’s like too much, you can’t get away with it anymore.
3:09:06 He’s always impressed me, I think when he went from like the Cheers to the Natural Born Killers everybody was like, wow, and I think people remember his demeanor from then and they’re always like, oh, it’s Woody, but they don’t see behind that is this obviously highly motivated, driven, obviously very healthy guy that just takes on these roles and just crushes them, and I think it was No Country for Old Men where I don’t know why I would ever sleep on Woody but I saw and I was like, Jesus, you could just tell there was a lot of work there and a lot of preparation there, and then you see him do like this live movie in London, like who would do that, in a city that’s not necessarily Lost in London, that was your name. Yeah, and then yeah, I’m just constantly wowed and amazed by what he pulls off as an actor and, you know, just to see, I can see detail and I’m not even in the industry but I just see little things where he, I believe he is a master at that.
3:09:53 He truly is, he truly is. I know some of the things he does, like he’ll get on his phone, he’ll, you know, when he did the LBJ film he had on his phone the tapes of like LBJ talking to, who was the guy of the FBI, the McNamara, no, no, no, no, no, J. Edgar Hoover. Hoover, yeah, right. And so he listened to those over and over and over again non-stop, you know, like just boom, in the just over and over to get into that part and just, you know, that’s how he is, you just like that, and so that was, that’s really cool.
3:10:21 And unfortunately because I’m so busy I don’t really watch movies but I did, I did get into True Detective. Oh god, that was so good. Yeah, that was so good, gosh. Yeah, that had me spellbound and again reminded me again of Woody. Yeah, it was a masterful role.
3:10:37 That was a messed rule and, I mean, I think scared the living crap out of me as well, I would watch it at home at night and the girls were sleeping and I was just literally bone chilling, freaked out, and to watch him, you know, go back and forth, yeah, it was amazing stuff. Amazing, that’s incredible. David, I always ask everyone just a couple questions at the end. I’m going to ask you, if I could give you a mobile phone and you could make a phone call to the 20 year old David Wolf and give that young man a bit of advice, what would you tell him?
3:11:03 Oh wow, well, I tell him to take more enzymes, I tell him to get on the charcoal earlier, I tell him to get a stem cell treatment right then so that the sample is 20 years old instead of, I think I did was 44. So I would tell him those things. I tell him to keep persisting until he succeeded and keep at it, and I would, I would also tell him to, you know, just be a little bit less aggro. You know, we, you know, we basically say like me and my crew were like, they call me a berserker, I’m a berserker, I keep going, right, and it’s like there is a little bit of energy expenditures a little too much over here, over there from just going too full on, and just reel it back a little bit, reel it back, conserve energy a little bit better.
3:11:47 Okay, good one. Second part of that question, best advice you ever received, could be from your mom, it could be from Tony Robbins or anybody along the way, is there anything that comes to mind? I’m thinking there is something that comes to mind and I read it out of a book, Tom Hopkins: I must do the most productive thing possible at every given moment. I must do the most productive thing possible at every given moment. I must do the most productive thing possible at every given moment.
3:12:12 It was, I was like, I grabbed that off a shelf, I read that line and it was like, that’s it, bam, and there was nothing else in that book that was any good actually, but that line lived forever. Final part of that question, to that 20 year old that’s watching us right now in Russia or in Brazil or in Peru or Hawaii, what advice you give to them, you know, so they can live the 3000 years or better than that, they can have as much energy as you or as much energy as Woody, or just to where maybe they can open their minds up a little bit about all this stuff, whether it’s vaccines or chemtrails or the flat earth or any of these other things? Yeah, how do they start or what advice do you give to them?
3:12:54 First thing is go for your dreams, live your dreams, go for it, make it, make it, make a shot for it, right, you know, it’s better to try and fail than to never try. I like Tom Watson, Watkins theory, what is, Tom Watkins, he was the founder of IBM, he said fail your way to the top, double your failure rate, you want to succeed, double your failure rate, don’t be afraid to fail, go out there and fail and make it happen and move forward and go, go for the thing that you have in your heart, your vision, but the key thing is, and I think another reason for my success is, I’m open, I’m open, if somebody says, hey, let’s do it this way, and I’m like, damn, that’s a good idea, okay, we’ll do it that way, you know, I’m open to it, I’m not like, you know, this like crazy dictator, it’s like, we’re doing it my way, it’s got to be this way, it’s like, no way.
3:13:39 I like Steve Jobs’s approach, he said, we hire the best people so they can tell us what to do, that’s what I’m trying to do, I’m trying to hire the best people, they’re telling me what to do, it’s like, yeah, that’s a good idea, okay, we’re going with that. So be open to people and be open to other ideas and get out of this thing that you know something, right, maybe you don’t and, you know, maybe you can be fooled and that’s always an eye-opening thing to me whenever I go, oh man, I didn’t know that, or I was fooled, or man, jeez, you know, I believe that, it’s not true. And so be open and be capable of making an error and be also, you know, with social media you will come against the haters, you will, it is inevitable, you start making waves in this world it’s going to happen, so you need to harden yourself up against that, you need to be able to take it, right, you need to be able to fight, right, and that’s why I like hanging out with the MMA guys is because they fight and so that gets me back in that fighter’s mode.
3:14:31 Now my fight is not to be, you know, bashed in the head and throw jiu-jitsu, you know, purple belt stuff at them, and, you know, strangle them out or something, or get it, you know, a Imanari roll on them or whatever. Do you see that move anyway? Yeah, yeah, yeah, I saw that, the Imanari roll, that’s a good one. My role is different, it’s, you know, it’s social media, it’s health education, and pick that path that is most deep in your heart and set out on your way and you will find a glorious destiny ahead of you.
3:15:04 David, I am lucky enough to spend a lot of time with some incredible people in that chair and I must say this has got to be one of my favorite times. I’ve met a lot of super intelligent people and you rank right up there with all of them, and it’s right underneath the surface, and I find this amazing that you are, first of all, knowledgeable in this stuff, and that you’re willing to talk about it because, let’s be honest, a lot of people would have economic interests in mind, or how would this theory go with the NutriBullet campaign, or how would this go with this, and they would keep quiet, and yet you are like, you know what, let’s talk about this stuff and let’s talk about everything, and then I don’t feel like anything is taboo for you and you are just surfing this kind of wave of, you know, learning and experiencing and living and inspiring other people, and more I learn about you, you’re just like, you know what, I’m going to do all the things I do and if it makes money, great, and if it doesn’t, I’m going to keep doing it, and I’m going to do it from a great place.
3:15:59 Which is probably why you have been successful, and you’re just going to kind of ride this wave of experience, it seems like you just do the things you love to do and everyone else just gets to come along for the ride, if we choose. Right on, thank you. I do do the things I love to do, come hell or high water, or come, come that pays the bills or not, and that’s the thing too is that a lot of times it doesn’t pay the bills and a lot of times my business partners go, like, you shouldn’t have said that, and it’s like, well, I’m speaking my truth, sorry, you know, that’s just what you get, you know, that’s how I am, I’m not going to be, you know, time’s ticking away here, I’m not going to be here much longer, I only got 2, 950 three years left.
3:16:35 Jeez. And that’s the other thing about a 3000 year perspective, it does make you make decisions differently, like yeah, if you’re going to be here for 3,000 years, like who cares if, you know, the next income statement, like, you know, I gotta, my reputation has got to go a long way. Right, right, yeah, so it’s incredible the world that we live in and I’m just, you know, more, I’m more excited than ever, that’s why I have more energy than ever, I’m more excited than ever about all these opportunities are just right sitting right there, and what’s great is, yeah, I can have my opinions and I can have my, you know, probabilities of what I think are real and it can be unorthodox but there’s still so many opportunities that are sitting in front of me just financially even though I have all those things, right, so I’m not going to like shut up because I might be, you know, irritating that person over there but this person over there goes, oh dude, we’ll support you, yeah, we’re in, so it’s great.
3:17:23 You know, that’s the internet, that’s the communication, you get to find your tribe. Yeah, yeah, and that’s an inspiration to anybody out there having a message, be true to yourself. Yeah, and you will find those thousand true fans, of those ten thousand, those hundred thousand people that are on your wavelength, and yeah, we need a lot more of that in this world. So as we say on London Real, it’s about the journey, I wish you all the best with yours, David.
3:17:44 Please come see us again next time in London, and I gotta get a hug from you. Thank you, Brian Rose, you’re great. Give me one vet, thank you so much.
