After years of investing across crypto and Wall Street, there is one pattern almost impossible to ignore:
What trends on Twitter/Instragram is almost entirely noise.
The platforms reward confidence, outrage, and speed – not accuracy.
Strong opinions travel far because they’re free to express.
Being wrong has no consequence, so narratives mutate faster than facts.
That environment bleeds into investing.
People mistake volume for signal and conviction for insight.
Markets don’t solve this in the short term.
Prices are often driven by positioning, leverage, and narrative momentum rather than value.
I’ve seen this play out repeatedly – both in crypto and in traditional markets.
The cycle is always the same:
belief spreads first, capital follows later, reality shows up last.
The real filter is accountability.
When capital is on the line, behavior changes.
Emotion gives way to probability. Time horizons lengthen. Risk is respected. Bad ideas don’t vanish—but they get priced out.
That’s why I pay less attention to what trends on X and more attention to where money is actually moving and who’s willing to stay exposed when conditions change.
Years in this game teach you one thing above all else: Ignore what people say for free.
Watch what they’re willing to risk.
That’s where the signal lives.
