Eddie Hall is an athlete, strongman, and actor, also known as “The Beast”.
From truck mechanic to superstar, Eddie’s journey is incredible and is one that continues to amaze his fans every day. His career has taken him across the globe and opened up a new career in acting for him.
Originally a swimming champion, Eddie decided to turn his focus to becoming a strongman. He discussed where his unusual physical ability comes from, the tough years of training that it takes to become the world’s strongest man, and the insane weekly financial cost of training that hard.
Today he spends his time training for his upcoming boxing match with Game of Thrones star Hafthor Bjornsson, recording television projects and videos for his hugely popular YouTube channel, as well as a documentary with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Eddie also spends his time promoting Strongman as a sport and spreads awareness about mental health.
In 2017, Eddie became the first person to ever deadlift 500 kg. That’s over 1000 lbs!
Eddie is an incredible guy, he was very honest about his struggles and wasn’t afraid to get emotional about his life.
Eddie also spoke frankly about his mental health issues, what it was like the day after he won the World’s Strongest Man. We chatted about what keeps him awake at night, the best advice he ever received and what scares him. Being the alpha male that he is, I really appreciated how vulnerable and emotional he got with me. We also talked about the legacy he wants to leave behind and how he’s focused on his family at the moment.
Even if you aren’t a bodybuilding or Strongman fan, it’s really hard not to love Eddie. What he’s achieved is insane. Being one of the World’s strongest men and being able to essentially lift a male polar bear’s worth of weight is something most people will never dream of doing.
And that’s why I find him so inspiring. His determination is unmatched, and I know you will find this episode with Eddie Hall fascinating.
