Free speech is the right every other freedom depends on, and London Real has had to fight for it. In 2020 YouTube removed Brian Rose’s first interview with David Icke, and London Real built its own platform to keep broadcasting. Since then Brian has talked to linguists, soldiers, lawyers, comedians and former officials about who decides what can be said online, how government and tech companies shape debate, and what it costs to speak out. Every full interview is free to watch.
Linguist Noam Chomsky, Monty Python’s John Cleese, former Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz, former US State Department official Mike Benz, Wikipedia co-founder Larry Sanger, Green Beret and UFC fighter Tim Kennedy and Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk on censorship, free expression and who gets to speak.
Noam Chomsky explains why he believes governments and technology companies want to limit what people can say, and how ordinary people can protect that freedom. Mike Benz, a former US State Department official, describes what he calls a censorship industrial complex funded by the US government, and in a later episode sets out how he expects Donald Trump to take it apart. Tim Kennedy, a former Green Beret and UFC fighter, argues that Big Tech censorship makes society weaker. Larry Sanger says Wikipedia no longer gives a fair hearing to every side.
London Real’s free speech story began in April 2020, when YouTube removed Brian Rose’s first interview with David Icke about the pandemic. London Real built its own Digital Freedom Platform and kept broadcasting, and the ROSE/ICKE series continued on it, with later episodes titled Banned and Banned Again. Brian told the story on Fox News with Judge Jeanine Pirro on 4 July 2020 and on Infowars. The feature film We Will Not Be Silenced tells the whole story, and in Freedom Fighters Brian looks back on it with Jerry Dalton in Myrtle Beach.
Several guests argue that the threat to speech now comes from culture as much as law. John Cleese says modern culture has stifled comedy and changed what people find funny. James Lindsay and Gad Saad argue that what they call woke ideas are pushing out common sense, and George Farmer, then chief executive of the social network Parler, says radical wokeness is stifling democracy. Alan Dershowitz makes a case for liberalism. Charlie Kirk, who died in 2025, talked to Brian about Big Tech in 2020. Earlier, Turkish journalist Ece Temelkuran and whistleblower lawyer Jesselyn Radack described what it costs to speak against the state.
