Key ideas

Human by design

In his 2019 interviews Braden explained why he wrote Human by Design. He argues that Darwinian evolution does not fully account for human origins and abilities.

The heart as well as the brain

Braden puts weight on the heart’s role in intuition. He argues that when the heart and brain are in a state of coherence, people gain access to deeper intuitive wisdom, a view he links to research on the heart’s nervous system.

The Divine Matrix

A theme across his work is what he calls the Divine Matrix, a field of energy that he believes connects all of creation and responds to human thought and emotion. He compares it to ideas in physics.

Cooperation over competition

Braden rejects the idea that humans are built to compete. Speaking on London Real, he argued that people are wired for cooperation and that the crises of climate, the economy and conflict are pushing us to think and live differently.

Education is behind the science

In 2018 he said that schools and textbooks are slow to reflect what new research on DNA and human biology is showing, and that this keeps people from understanding their own potential.
