I enjoyed, the guy is real. No fakery or political correctness. Ok got a bit bored with his smoke blowing up his own ass but yeah if you have achived what he has then I guess most of us would and also get a bit out of touch with reality.

This is not one of his better seminars. I understand that the ultimate point of these seminars is to get you fired up, to feel the passion, and make you realize that you need to take action in order to succeed. However, in my opinion, this one just feels more like empty flamings of a burned out old man, and his message doesn’t really come through as it should. This is especially showcased when he gets into stuff he obviously has no idea about (like Ayahuasca and DMT). His whole theater is kind of breaking down, exposing him a bit… Read more »

Wow, thank you for putting that list together Adrian! In a way it could be more useful to many on here than the actual seminar, due to the lack of context and “cunts” which can trigger people to go in a protection mode, judge through their own belief system then jump to conclusions instead of hearing out the message and taking what’s useful to them, in spite of not standing the guy. I would also agree with you that the earlier stuff was a lot more focused and the narrative didn’t jump around as much, the flow was better and… Read more »

How much did these people pay to hear an old guy telling them about himself and insulting them by the same token? No wonder he has energy, he’s an emotional vampire feeding off the insecurities of others.
Not on my watch!

I mistakenly liked this episode… how do I unlike?…
I wonder if he has some routine, some sort of selftalk, looking in the mirror telling himself: “you f…g cunt! you ain’t worth nothing, you little piece of s..t!” :))
otherwise, i didn’t find much new in comparation with others.. same message: “focus, it’s all or nothing , just do it!” but at least he’s congruent, he says that himself: people don’t need him

Its interesting but its all about forcing rather than flowing. its totally the wrong approach to life. and his biggest regret is that he didnt get to pull the trigger in the war. really pathetic, if it wasnt a metaphor. taking action is not a ground breaking idea. no one has the balls to challenge this guy? the problem is how do you get people to take action. there are pathways to accomplish this. . calling them cunts isnt going to work. thats really fkn stupid. he throws names like tolstoy and shakespeare around but not their philosophies if he… Read more »

“Calling people cunts” is highly diminutive. That is just his style of delivery. He is making it abundantly clear that people don’t get default respect, that has to be earned.
And I would take my chances with Dan about getting people to take action over yours.
I suppose with “flowing” you want to take the path of least resistance. Others want to impose their will, because they believe it is stronger than others’.

I happen to agree with you. I don’t get it! But what I get even less are people who seem to be enthralled by the guy. What is the deal here? Do they all like abuse and are attracted to narcissistic jerks shouting at them? Are they self loathing to a point of having sadistic enjoyment out of an old decrepit guy in a pristine suit lashing out and insulting them. Are they sick in their heads? They obviously have some daddy issues.

Hated this. Started to write down a breakdown of all my thoughts, but realised that I’ve wasted enough of my time today. Instead, here are the cliff notes: “I’m the most amazing hard core fucking guy you’ve ever seen & you’re all lower than the dogshit on my boot. You should all be more like me. If you don’t agree, then you just don’t understand. Do the work.” …Blah.

Dan Pena is definitely not my cup of tea. It may be of help for some people but not for me . Let’ s separate his message form his style: 1. the message delivered is basically “work hard””, “get the fucking thing done”, “the problem is you and your laziness”. 2. the style is something like the military/corporate bully style. He spends most of the time trying to establish his authority by positioning the audience at a lower level (tipical of bullying) and elevating himself quoting a variety of personal success stories. I come from South Italy and this style,… Read more »

I think behind the profanities he comes from a place of love for your potential. It takes some time to see that, I had the same thoughts as you until I started listening to more of his work: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDLSaWsECz93uRk8m7ZtN5A

Great talk! Memorable quote (not exactly what he said) The key to getting things done is to get things done whatever your circumstances.

wow, Dan was really on in this one – best performance of his I’ve ever seen caught on video, distilling his message to a diamond bullet – like the diamond bullet between the eyes Brando’s Kurtz talks about as the brutal realisation of ruthless truth in Apocalypse Now
