Hey Siggi good to see that you’ve noticed a difference and are going to keep this practice up 🙂

Thx Scott – at least I’ll have to give it a try for some longer period of time in order to be able to judge the effects 😉

Does anyone else ‘shake’ when you’re doing meditation/ breathing practice?
I found myself shaking when I practised this morning and it was er…. interesting, so being curious I thought I’d video it 🙂 Have you experienced that as well?? – I’d love to hear thoughts about what’s happening!

Hey Pete,
Good stuff for being open about this!
Here’s my thoughts, but as my ex-wife would tell you I’m frequently wrong 😉
When you’re doing your practise you are learning to focus and go deeper within yourself. Deeper within your neurological and cardiovascular system. Perhaps the shaking is either a muscular or neurological release.
I’ve experienced all kinds of things from colours, to sounds, to nervous twitches etc. Just keep rolling with it. Don’t judge these experiences, but do experience them. Then just keep going 🙂
Keep it up mate! 😀 😀 😀

Hey Pete ! Thanks for sharing. I have been trying the breathing exercise from Wim Hof and am really just starting to gain more interest in these breathing exercises. I sometimes get anxiety and found that they have helped at times. There was one that I was doing where I would breath in for four seconds, holding for seven and breathing out for eight (I think that’s it) and it was helpful for calming my nervous system down as well as getting back to sleep if I woke up in the middle of the night. Maybe I will give the… Read more »

Hi Evan – I’m just playing with it and getting curious – even today with the same technique I haven’t had the shakes…. thank you for sharing!

My short comment about the meditation challenge after day 6. It’s still very strange for me to record myself – but anyway it’s a kind of experience.

Good stuff Anthony! And you’re right it is good to keep it up, consistency is key! If you’re up for the challenge, I’ve got a 15 minute for 15 day breathing challenge at http://www.stopdropbreathe.org/15×15 if you wanted some more support and accountability 🙂

A reflection on my meditation practice, I am too hard on myself…

Good stuff to reflect on Pete! I agree, as long as you can sustain the practice long term, it doesn’t really matter whether you are using an app or not. Cool to hear about your deep breathing practices too – I’ll look up that pranayama app!

Solid bro and good insight. We are our own worst critic. We need to careful of the stories we tell ourselves because that’s a conversation with the universe 🙂

Lovely meditation this morning. Sat down on the grass verge near my workplace popped on some Binaural Beats and lost myself for 10 minutes.

Scott Townsend

Nice Katie. I experienced with Binaural Beats (BB) when I was a bit younger, and I understand the science behind them etc. But in the past few years I haven’t had any experiences with them. How long have you been using the BB for and what has your experience been like?

Katie Joell

I’m very much new to them myself so I’m learning. I find that they enable me to get more centred.

Scott Townsend

That’s great Katie. Experiment to find what works then roll with it. 😀

The video thumbnail makes me so happy, thanks Cal! I found it a bit hard to understand you while you were talking mate. Accent makes it a bit tough. Next video please try speak a little slower and clearer. Keep it up!

Awesome! Coming across Dan Pena was a turning point for me with LR too! I think his quote was “Zen doesn’t pay the fucking bills”.. There was probably a cunt or 2 in there as well.

that was it haha. I thought he was right! But i’ve been sticking with it now and on the eight day 😉

Hi everybody!
Here is my meditation video. The reason I am quiet in the video is because it was late in the evening and I did not want to wake up the family..For my meditation I am using a HRV(heart rate variability) device to measure my sympathetic and parasympathetic response(fight or flight). Have been using this device for almost a year. It is very good tool to verify that you are being coherent in your meditation..

Hi guys! I’m not new to meditation, but the challenge came perfectly in time. This week I am staying at a friend’s place and was not meditating. There were barely moments that I was alone. The challenge helps me to meditate even if it is not convenient at the moment. Because I should have no excuse to not meditate.
