BURPEE CHALLENGE ACTIVITY

This challenge consists of doing as many burpees as possible in 60 seconds. You did 5? Nice. You did 250? I’m flying you out to the show!

Burpees develop strength, endurance, explosiveness and coordination because there’s so much going on. They’re inspired by our guest Joe De Sena, who hosts the infamous Spartan Races.

Upon some prompting here’s the burpee challenge video. I didn’t do the clap part, but i think i had good form most of the time.
I usually put something with 4/4 rythm to do burpees to but the timer and the filming put me off a lot. Squat on 1, Push up position on 1.5, Push up on 2-3, Back to squat on 3.5 and jump on 4

Burpee Challenge = 19 – havent done burpees for about 25 years, so had to retrain my muscle memory. I forgot how ” hard ” burpees are – that was tough !!!!!!!! – BUT, i will definitely BEAT IT next attempt ”

21 – my excuse is glycogen depletion as I run a speedy 5k just before. You can see the form drop. Goal is to beat grandpa Brian @londonrealtv by the end of the week 😀

Hey Johannes, good effort, I counted 25, keep it up! On your next attempt, try and get your chest to hit the ground for more of a full push-up, you’ll feel it in your chest, it’s a better work out. Perhaps before your next attempt do a warm up, and a few at lower speed to get the feeling right and then turn it up for your recorded minute

Yes, you’re right. Also need to lock the back and probably the form is more important than the reps like you said
